Episode 5725 Wednesday, January 6, 2010 Dear Faithful Readers: It is with a heavy heart I have decided this will be my last week to write my daily updates for The Bold and the Beautiful. The past 10 ½ years have been fun but a decade is a long time and things have changed in my life. Time constraints keep me from being able to devote the time and effort I would like to the task. I thank each and every one of you for being such great fans and I’m sorry if you feel I’m letting you down. This decision was not easy to make and has actually been about 2 years in the making. Thank you for your kind words, devotion, and support through the years. I will probably miss you more than you’ll miss me. Steffy sat at Insomnia and worried about Brooke meeting with Katie. She was surprised when Bill dropped by her table. He explained he had ordered some take-out food and was waiting for it. Bill pulled up a chair and Steffy couldn’t hide her disdain for the man. He asked why she didn’t like him. She clarified that she actually hated him for stealing the company from her family. Bill then clarified that he had purchased the company at a fair market price and if he hadn’t the building would be empty because the company was failing. And if she hated him so much, Bill wondered she had kissed him. Steffy said it was the biggest mistake of her life. Bill the offered he didn’t much like Steffy either and wondered why she was promoting the latest line for a man she detested. Steffy replied it was her job. She didn’t have to like her boss to do a good job. (The flirting was obnoxious and painfully obvious.) Bill went to pick up his food and told Steffy to be a good girl. She replied with… The Quote of the Day: “I’m not a girl, Dollar Bill. I’m a woman.” (Oh please! Is Helen Reddy over at the microphone ready to perform her biggest hit?) As Bill walked away Steffy smiled. Meanwhile in Katie’s Office at Forrester Creations Brooke admitted the truth. The Dare collection was designed to fail. Katie was livid! She couldn’t believe her sisters would betray her in this way. Even if their ridiculous plan had succeeded in getting the company back, Katie knew her career would be over. She would always be known as the CEO who had sunk Forrester Creations. Katie was so upset her own family had betrayed her. Brooke apologized but explained it was the only was to correct the injustice. Katie had to know in her heart the company belonged to Ridge and Eric. Katie couldn’t even talk. Brooke wondered what her next move would be. Katie wasn’t sure and she made no promises when Brooke asked her not to tell Bill of the scheme. After Brooke left, Bill arrived to see his wife. She told him there was a big problem with the Forrester clan. In an impressive move, Katie told Bill the truth. The Dare line was supposed to lose money so the Spencer board would dropt he company. Bill couldn’t believe what a bunch of idiots the Forrester were. (Oh, I can, Bill.) One bad collection wouldn’t ruin the company. And Bill was the chairman of the board. They did what he told them to do. Katie asked Bill to allow her to handle the situation. But Bill wanted to see those crazy Forrester immediately. Down in Eric/Thorne’s Office, Eric, Ridge, and Donna fretted if Brooke had convinced Katie the designs were good. Steffy arrived and was concerned Bill was on his way to the building. Brooke arrived and confessed Katie now knew the truth. Secretary Madison knocked on the door and summoned everyone to Katie’s Office. Eric, Ridge, Brooke, Donna, and Steffy went to Katie’s Office. She told them they had a problem and it needed to be addressed. But Eric and Ridge decided to ask Bill directly what was going on. Ridge acted like he couldn’t care less what Bill thought. But Bill made it clear there was going to be hell to pay. |
