Episode 5350 Tuesday, July 8, 2008 At the Forrester Mansion, Bridget revealed to Eric, Brooke, and Donna she was getting married to Nick again…THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW! As Eric and Brooke congratulated their daughter a dubious Donna looked on. Brooke and Donna chatted on the Terrace. Donna was concerned Katie would be upset about Bridget’s marriage to Nick. It was clear their sister was in love with the man. Brooke acknowledged that fact but argued Bridget and Nick had a history and were much better suited for each other. Donna understood Brooke’s loyalty to her daughter but was more concerned about Katie. Back in the Living Room, Eric expressed concern about Bridget re-marrying Nick. He just wanted to make sure she didn’t get hurt. Bridget was confident they could make it work this time. Eric told his daughter to plan on a pool party the next day to celebrate the engagement. He had to rush off to the office to get to work on her wedding dress. Later, Brooke had a private conversation with Bridget. She was worried about how Bridget would react to Katie’s reaction to the engagement. Bridget surprised her mother by saying Katie was planning the wedding. In fact, she had insisted. Brooke wondered if that was a good idea. They both had to admit Katie had feelings for Nick. Brooke worried that might make Bridget insecure. Bridget replied in the past something like this would have upset her. But she had a new confidence and trusted Nick completely. There were no doubts of any kind in her mind. Brooke explained she only wanted her daughter to be happy. Bridget replied with… The Quote of the Day: “Mom, I think your wish just came true.” (Yeah, that’s really good to hear. But you’ll pardon me if I don’t place any bets on this relationship lasting past Labor Day.) At the Marone Manse, Jackie talked to Katie about the wedding plans. Katie assured the mother of the groom everything was completely under control. Jackie hinted Katie’s feelings might not be under control. Without admitting her true love for Nick, Katie told Jackie there was nothing to worry about. Later, Donna dropped by to hound Katie about her decision to simply roll over and allow Nick to marry Bridget. If Katie truly loved Nick she should fight for him. Katie responded by saying it was because of her love for Nick…and her love for Bridget…and her love for them as a couple…that she was letting this happen. Donna countered she wasn’t even giving Nick a choice in the matter. Katie put her foot down. There was no guarantee Nick would pick her anyway. And even if he did, any happiness she would gain from a relationship with Nick would be tainted by the fact she had hurt dear, sweet Bridget. Katie had made her peace with the situation and never wanted to talk about it again. Oh yeah. Rick and Taylor were naked in bed. Inexplicably, right after a sweaty love-making session, they discussed Bridget marrying Nick. Taylor was perfectly fine with the idea. Nick should move on just like she had. Rick professed his undying love for Taylor. And they started doing it again. |
