Episode 5347 Thursday, July 3, 2008 There was more of that jazzy rock music and bouncy photography between some of the scenes today. I’m liking that, I’ve got to say. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of today’s show. At the Marone Manse, Stephen and Beth had been sent packing to Brooke’s Old Place so Brooke could have a word alone with Katie. Bottom line, Brooke was concerned Katie had gotten very close to Nick during her near-death experience. She wondered if she needed to worry about Katie going after Nick and breaking Bridget’s heart. Katie assured her sister she would never do anything to hurt Bridget. Yes, she had developed deep feelings for Nick. Those feelings weren’t going to disappear overnight. But she and Nick were going to be just friends. Downstairs, Bridget came home from a hard shift at the hospital and found Nick playing with Jack. After Jack was put down for a nap, Nick made it clear how wonderful he thought Bridget was. Bridget replied the life they now shared with Jack was exactly how she had imagined their life would have been with Dead Baby Nicole. They agreed they were happy. Later, Katie had a private word with Nick while Bridget was in the shower and Brooke was upstairs returning phone calls. Katie told Nick she was grateful for everything he had done to help her recover and get her mother to return to California. But now it was time for both of them to move on with their lives. Nothing would make Katie happier than for Nick to make a commitment to Bridget. Katie wanted him to show Bridget how magical life could be just as he has showed her. Nick hugged Katie. She was one special girl. Over at Forrester Creations, Eric was mentoring Tim, a new design student, when Stephanie appeared with Felicia and Thorne. Whiney babies Fifi and Thor showed Eric the cover of a new fashion magazine. In separate head shots were Eric, Donna, and Marcus with the cover story “The Future of Forrester.” (OK, I’m just going to ask how and where the magazine got a head shot of Marcus. I won’t even go into the territory that asks how a glossy magazine – not a newsprint tabloid – got a cover story about information that was revealed YESTERDAY!) Fifi and Thor were hurt by Eric’s lack of concern about their feelings. Stephanie asked for a moment alone with Eric. She explained to him that his lack of concern about his own children’s feelings made it seem like he was playing favorites for Donna and her son. Eric agreed and said he’d try to act better in the future. But there was certainly nothing to worry about with Marcus. He was not going to cause any trouble. Faithful Readers: I mistakenly reported the new hottie, Owen, was played by Brian Beemer of Shawn Brady fame. The actor’s name is Brandon Beemer. My apologies, Mr. Beemer. How can I ever make it up to you? On Donna’s Roof Top Lounge, Marcus wanted to know how Owen had gotten through security. (Good question. I was wondering the same thing.) Owen explained he had told the front desk he had an appointment with Marcus. (And security didn’t ask Marcus if that was true? They simply let this stranger wander around the facility on his own? How did Owen know to find Marcus on Donna’s Roof Top Lounge?) But I digress. Owen wanted to be paid the $2,500 fee for finding Marcus’ mother. Owen reminded Marcus he had found the clipping about Eric and Donna’s wedding and even paid for his plane ticket to Los Angeles. (So are we to believe during the scene in the locker room when we first met Marcus and he made that phone call to book a flight he was talking to his Private Investigator? Picture me rolling my eyes in disbelief.) Owen was also interested in a bonus since it turned out Marcus’ mama was now loaded. Marcus didn’t take kindly to the threat of extortion. Owen backed off and agreed to wait for his payment until Marcus could raise the money. I want…no, I demand a romance between Owen and Felicia. She’s languishing in storyline Siberia and here’s a hot dude for her. Hook them up….pronto. |
