Erin Brockovich

Julia Roberts stars as the smart-mouthed, twice-divorced, mini-skirt-wearing, push-up-bra-loving, gaudy-jewelry-buying, job-seeking, trailer-trash mom, Erin Brockovich. Other than her wits and mesmerizing personality, she doesn't have much going for her. She weasels her way into a job as a file clerk at a the firm of a lawyer she had hired to represent her in a injury case. She stumbles across some odd medical entries in a real estate dispute file and decides to investigate. She reveals the cover-up of spilled toxic chemicals from a huge corporation. She champions all those people sick from the chemicals and comes out smelling like a rose.

Miss Roberts is wonderful. She is a delight to watch on the screen and brings just the right amount of sassiness to the role - any more would have started to grate on my nerves. (No Mary Riley here.) It's a great story about the underdog coming out on top. You might think all the good lines and scenes have been shown in the trailer or on the television commercials. Nope, there's still plenty more to go around.

Aaron Eckhart plays Erin's next-door neighbor who becomes the next Mr. Brockovich. He's a Harley-Davidson riding biker that compliments Miss Roberts perfectly. Such a couple. Their babies will be beautiful.

Listen to me: How could you not love a movie where Julia Roberts exclaims "I was Miss Wichita, for Christ's sake"?
