Episode Date: Monday, October 2, 2000

In the bedroom of his Bel Air estate, Ridge was shirtless once more. Taylor entered wearing trashy lingerie. Ridge was concerned about Brooke and Thorne's relationship. Taylor said she thought Brooke might actually choose her children over Thorne. Ridge complimented Taylor on being such a fabulous woman as he turned off the light and made some sweet lovin' to her. Basking in the afterglow, Taylor felt lucky (I'll say she is) that her life was so wonderful while Brooke was having such a hard time recently. Ridge asked if Taylor had to choose, would she pick him or the children? Taylor said she hoped such a thing would never happen, but the children would have to come first.

Over at Spectra Fashions, Sally, CJ and Clarke were stunned as they looked at the photo in the newspaper of Kimberly kissing Thorne. Kimberly told the clan she and Thorne were involved. The Spectras were shocked that she might be in love with him. Sally reminded Kimberly that her father never trusted Thorne and also how badly he had treated Macy. Kimberly defended Thorne and said she had instigated the relationship with him. She said that Macy's death had brought she and Thorne together. It proved that something good could come out of tragedy. After Kimberly left, Sally told Clarke and CJ that she hoped Brooke and Thorne got married so Kimberly would not be lured by Thorne's charms.

While over at Brooke's house, Bridget and Rick demanded that Brooke choose between them and Thorne. Brooke was concerned that Rick and Thorne had come to fisticuffs. Both children spoke with sassy mouths about Thorne betrayal. Bridget cried that Thorne had cheated on Brooke. The kids agreed they could not trust Thorne and could not live with him. Brooke asked to speak to Thorne alone. Bridget and Rick grudgingly went upstairs.

Bridget worried in her room when Kimberly showed up. (Stalker! Stalker! Stalker! How on earth did she get in the house? Doesn't anyone lock their doors in Beverly Hills?) The two teens stood at the top of the stairs and tried to overhear Brooke and Thorne's conversation to no avail. Bridget said she and Rick had given Brooke and ultimatum. Bridget worried that her mother would choose Thorne.

But Thorne and Brooke had moved out to the patio. Thorne apologized for attacking Rick. Brooke was dumbfounded at how their relationship had become so messy. She told Thorne she would not gamble with her kids' lives. Thorne insisted they follow their hearts. Brooke was afraid she would break her children's hearts in the process. Brooke told Thorne that Rick and Bridget would never accept him. Thorne was puzzled and asked what Brooke was saying.

(Do we have to spell it out for you, big guy? It seems pretty simple to me.)

Kimberly visited Stephanie at the Forrester mansion. The teen told La Forrester that she had been at Brooke's house and knew that Brooke was deciding if she was going to marry Thorne. Skeptical, Stephanie wasn't sure Brooke would choose her children's over love and warned Kimberly not to get her hopes up. Kimberly was confident Thorne would not marry Brooke. Stephanie reminded the love struck girl that no one had yet been able to keep the two apart. Stephanie acknowledged that Kimberly was sweet and obviously had feelings for Thorne, but said Thorne could well marry Brooke. Kimberly frowned and Stephanie apologized for upsetting her. Kimberly said there was no reason to be upset yet and left.

Meanwhile, at Spectra Fashions, Sally told CJ she saw not point in talking to Kimberly as it would do no good. Sally swore, however, that Kimberly and Thorne would not become a couple. Sally then turned her attention to CJ and told him she did not think it was good for him to be living at the Forrester guest house. CJ explained that he had to protect his family. The Forresters had been pressuring Amber to re-join them and CJ had to make sure the didn't win. CJ vowed that the Forrester family would not destroy his family.

But over at the guest house, Rick arrived to commiserate with Amber. Amber comforted Rick over his disappointment in Thorne. It meant a lot to Rick to be able to talk with Amber. She told her ex-husband that Brooke was lucky to have such caring children. Rick said that's what family meant to him, that you never stopped caring. Then he turned around and said he could never forgive Thorne. (So much for family values, eh Rick? Thorne is your half-brother after all.) But Rick pointed out his relationship with Amber had changed, so anything was possible. Amber said their lives could never be the same. Rick hoped it would be better. Rick then asked if Amber was certain she wanted CJ living with her. Amber said she was certain and they would stay out of the family's way. Rick said he didn't want Amber to stay away. He was able to open up with her and talk about things he couldn't discuss with his family. To calm him down, Amber hugged Rick just as CJ walked in the door. CJ was really not very happy to see that, let me tell you.

On Brooke's patio, Miss Logan said Rick and Bridget could never accept Thorne. She felt like she was being ripped in half. Brooke thought maybe her children were right about their relationship. Brooke cried that if they couldn't be a family, she couldn't marry Thorne. Thorne followed Brooke back into her living room. Brooke said she had to do what was best for her children. Thorne pointed out they were not helpless babies. He begged Brooke not to give up on them. He reminded her that he had chosen her when his family had given him such an ultimatum. He insisted they could make a go of the marriage. Brooke really turned on the water works and wailed she could not let her children down. Thorne asked where that left him. He said they had come so close. He pulled her into a passionate kiss. She responded, but as they swapped spit, she came to her senses and pulled away.

"I can't! I'm sorry! It's over! Go! Just leave! Get out!" Brooke screamed as she ran up the stairs. Thorne was stunned. He collapsed at the foot of the stairs and wailed "Brooke! Brooke! Brooke!" (Very reminiscent of "Stella! Stella! Stella!" from Streetcar Named Desire) Brooke stood in the hallway upstairs and crumbled to the floor in tears as she heard Thorne's anguished cries.

(So very dramatic!)

At the Forrester guest house, CJ was upset to find Amber hugging Rick. Amber explained that Rick was upset about his mother's relationship with Thorne and she was only comforting him. CJ showed no compassion and said it only proved how screwed up Rick's family was. Amber stopped the quarreling between the guys and suggested Rick leave. Rick agreed and offered to show CJ to his room at the main house. CJ replied that he planned to stay in the guest house with Amber and Little Eric. Rick said that wouldn't work. Stephanie and Eric would not allow CJ and Amber to "shack up" under their roof. Amber asked Rick to leave and said she and CJ would decide where he would stay. After Rick left, Amber expressed her displeasure with CJ's behavior. She told him that they all had to try to get along and she thought it would be best if he did stay in a guest room at the main house. CJ wasn't happy, but respected Amber's wishes not to upset Rick when he was already going through a hard time. However, CJ told Amber they should really be worried about Kimberly because she thought she was in love with Thorne. (That was a quick change in thought process - eh?)

Over at Brooke's house, Miss Logan stared at photo of Thorne and her in Venice. As she cried, Bridget came downstairs. Bridget wanted to know what Brooke had decided. Brooke said she loved Thorne and she always would, but she could not let her children down. They had made their desires clear and she could not ignore that. Brooke informed Bridget that she had told Thorne their relationship was over. As Brooke wept, Bridget comforted her mother and told her she had done the best thing for all of them. As they hugged, Rick arrived. Brooke told both her children that they came first in her life. She was not going to marry Thorne. Rick told his mother she had done the right thing. Bridget swore she would not regret her decision. They all shared a teary group hug.

At Thorne's beach bungalow, the hunky Forrester brother gazed at another cheesy photo of Brooke and him. He remembered the good times (and that darn bubble bath) they had shared in Venice. Kimberly appeared on his deck and apologized for what had happened. Thorne explained that he wasn't angry but he did want to be alone. Ignoring Thorne's request, Kimberly asked what had happened with Brooke. Thorne said Brooke had forgiven him for the kiss but had caved in to Rick and Bridget's ultimatum. Kimberly couldn't believe that Brooke had chosen her children over Thorne. Thorne cried that he and Brooke were to have been married that very night and now it was over. Thorne went inside and asked Kimberly to leave him alone.

A little later, Thorne cried on his deck. Kimberly spied on him through her huge French doors. (Stalker! Stalker! Stalker!) She told herself that it was unfortunate Thorne had to go through such pain, but it was necessary so they could have a wonderful life together. (Dream on, girlfriend.)

Ridge arrived at work and learned from Megan that Dax Stevens was interviewing Morgan for the article on Ridge's family for that stupid magazine. He wondered what Morgan was up to.

Meanwhile, Morgan ushered that insipid reporter, Dax, into her office. (By the way, Morgan has developed a belly all of a sudden and was wearing animal print maternity wear. So chic!) Dax (in total monotone) told Morgan that his article was boring (just like him.) He needed some "dirt" to "spice" it up. Morgan said she had just what he was looking for. As they started to speak, Ridge bounded through the door. Morgan told Dax that she and Ridge had once been lovers. Ridge specified that had happened many years ago. Morgan said the sparks had flown when she returned to work at Forrester Creations. When Dax asked how far they had taken their attraction, Morgan licked her silky lips and smiled at Ridge. (Note to writers: Please don't waste my time with dumb short-term characters and silly scenes where the characters obviously won't say what we're supposed to think they will. Are we really supposed to think Morgan is going to tell Dax about her baby's father. Don't insult Mr. Smartypants.)

Now on to some real, meaty storyline. At the miraculously appearing Forrester dining room, Amber, Rick, Eric, Stephanie and Little Eric enjoyed a luscious buffet breakfast. They were all dressed to the nines when a scruffy and sleepy CJ wandered in to get some coffee. CJ was not impressed when Eric offered to get swimming lessons for Little Eric and Stephanie wanted Amber to join her book club. CJ lost it when he learned that Rick had paid the remainder on the lease to their seedy apartment. He told Amber that the Forresters were only trying to buy her off. CJ yelled that he could see through their shallow tactics. Rick suggested he move out, but CJ said he would not leave his son to be raised by the likes of the Forresters. CJ stormed out of the dining room. Rick followed him.

Rick confronted CJ at the guest house. Rick insisted that his ex-buddy treat Stephanie and Eric with respect. He was a guest in their house. CJ scoffed that he was more like a prisoner. Rick said they were only doing what they thought was best for the baby. Rick wanted CJ to admit that he wasn't upset about who was going to raise Little Eric, but that he was scared of losing Amber to Rick. Rick said he was not pretending to have feelings for Amber just to get Little Eric back. He insisted he really did love Amber. CJ reminded Rick of how he had whined that he used to be tied to Amber when he really loved Kimberly. Rick responded that CJ had once said he would never love anyone but Becky. Rick said it obviously meant that feelings could change. CJ said he and Amber were committed to each other because of all they had been through. Rick said they had grown close because of tragedy, but he (Rick) and Amber had always shared a special connection. Rick told CJ he didn't want to see him get hurt. He advised CJ to let Amber go. It would be the best for everyone. Rick left and CJ thought about those words. (CJ's beard shadow was looking kind of cute, too.)

Back in that dining room that appears at the darndest times, Stephanie asked Amber to convince CJ to move out of the house. Amber said he simply didn't trust the Forresters. Amber said she wasn't totally sure of their motives either. Just a few months ago, they had hated her. Stephanie said she had not forgotten what Amber had done, but she had forgiven her. Stephanie also recalled the time Amber had risked her life to save hers (Stephanie's.) (That was the time, Sheila was ready to shoot Stephanie, but Amber entered and attacked Sheila, saving Stephanie from certain death.) Stephanie said Amber had obviously grown up and she trusted her again. Stephanie said CJ's hostility could not continue. It was detrimental to everyone at the house. Amber said she could not tell CJ to leave. He had never turned his back on her. They were a family and Amber had learned how important that was from Stephanie herself. Stephanie said having CJ leave would be best for everyone. CJ had to leave that very day and Amber had to be the one to tell him.

(In French, my name is monsieur pantalons intelligents.)

Episode Date: Friday, October 6, 2000

In the Forrester living room, Amber told Stephanie that she did not intend to tell CJ he had to move away. Amber was certain she could get him to calm down. Even though Stephanie was concerned about CJ's anger management, she agreed to give him one more chance. Amber assured La Forrester that she wouldn't regret it.

Over at the guest house, CJ told his mother about the Forresters' evil plan to exploit Amber's vulnerability. CJ was glad that he was there to protect Amber. Sally was amazed at Rick's arrogance in thinking he could win Amber back. However, Sally wondered it CJ truly did love Amber. She pointed out that both of them had suffered great losses and had been there for each other. CJ replied that he knew he truly loved Amber. Sally reminded CJ that a baby was involved and wanted her son to look deep inside his heart to find his true feelings.

Amber strolled by the Forrester pool and secretly overheard a conversation between Rick and Bridget. Rick defended Amber's past actions to Bridget and told her that Amber meant a lot to him. Amber seemed pleased to hear Rick's words and left, unnoticed.

Amber then entered the guest house and told CJ that he had to cool it with his angry outbursts. She explained the Stephanie had wanted to throw him out. CJ said he had talked with his mother and wondered if he really had what Amber wanted and needed in her life. Amber assumed that CJ had changed his mind about their relationship and told him she wasn't ready for anything serious either. CJ said he didn't believe Amber's denial. He was embarrassed by how she had been hanging on his every word. Amber was insulted and told CJ that she was glad he was leaving because he was self-centered. CJ laughed and interrupted Amber's tirade. He said he had decided just the opposite. He was ready to commit to Amber and Little Eric. He wanted to be a real family. As Amber sat down, CJ got on his knee, produced a diamond ring from his pocket and asked Amber to marry him. (Uh, can anyone tell me when he had time to run out and pick up that engagement ring?) Amber was shocked at his proposal.

Over at Forrester Creations, Morgan teased that idiotic reporter, Dax, and let him think Ridge had fathered her child. Eventually, Morgan admitted that both Taylor and Ridge had helped her with the artificial insemination process. Defeated, Dax left to type his story. (Good riddance.) Ridge was mad that Morgan had put him through the ringer. Morgan joked about the interview, but Ridge said he wasn't sure he could deal with her pregnancy anymore. As Ridge left her office, Morgan said he really didn't have a choice.

Later in her office, Morgan looked for a book on her bookcase. Ridge returned and threw some papers on her desk and turned to leave. Morgan told Ridge to get over his bad funky self, he really didn't have any problems. Ridge said he hated lying to his wife, but he couldn't tell her the awful truth. Ridge said the best thing Morgan could do for him was have a miscarriage. (Wow! That's a harsh thing to say.) Morgan couldn't believe Ridge would wish that on his own child. Ridge was sickened that Morgan was carrying his child and told her he wished it didn't exist. Morgan screamed at Ridge and ordered him out of her office.

After Ridge left, Morgan told herself that she didn't Ridge or anyone else's help. She returned to her book case and discovered the book she was looking for on the top shelf. (Uh-oh.) Morgan WHEELED her desk chair to the shelves. (Uh-oh.) She kneeled on the chair but still couldn't reach the top shelf. (Uh-oh.) She stood on the wobbling chair and retrieved the book. (Oh-oh.) Oh my gosh! The chair tipped over and Morgan fell to the floor. (Gee! I didn't see that coming at all.)

Out in the hall, Ridge heard Morgan's scream. He ran back into her office. Morgan begged Ridge to help her. She discovered she was bleeding - although we couldn't see from where. Morgan pleaded with Ridge to call an ambulance. Ridge picked up the phone, but didn't make the call. He returned the receiver to the cradle, gave a smug look, and left the office. Morgan laid on the floor and cried for help.

At the Forrester pool, Stephanie joined Rick and Bridget's conversation about Amber. Bridget simply didn't trust Amber or her motives. Rick replied that Amber was a good person and he truly cared about her. Stephanie admitted that she felt Rick's assessment of Miss Moore was correct. After Rick left to talk to Amber, Bridget said she didn't think it mattered how Rick felt because Amber was currently involved with CJ. Stephanie wasn't sure how involved they truly were. She felt it was more a case of co-dependency. Bridget thought Amber was perhaps using CJ to make Rick jealous. Sensing Stephanie's dislike of her cynicism, Bridget explained she did not want to be too trusting and get burned like her mother always did. Stephanie said one had to learn to trust - and wouldn't it be wonderful it Rick and Amber could build something better than they had before. Bridget was dubious and slipped on her sunglasses.

Over in the guest house, Amber didn't know how to respond to CJ's marriage proposal. At first, CJ had to convince her that he was truly serious. Amber replied that marriage was a big step. CJ understood and said he knew what he wanted. He wanted Little Eric, her and him to be a family so the Forrester would take them seriously. Amber guessed that CJ wanted to "show" the Forresters how serious they were. CJ admitted that was part of the reason he wanted to get married right away. Amber gently told CJ that she couldn't marry him because it was a good strategy. When or if they ever got married, it would be because it was the right thing for everyone. CJ asked Amber to keep the ring because whenever she was ready to get married, he would be ready as well. They shared a kiss and CJ left for a meeting at Insomnia. (What kind of meeting? Deciding what karoke acts to invite next week?)

Alone in the guest house, Amber tried on the engagement ring and admired it on her finger just as Rick walked in. Amber panicked because she couldn't get the ring off her finger. (In a moment inspired by the ghost of Lucille Ball, Amber spent an entire scene with her arms folded to hide the ring from Rick.) Rick asked if CJ had spoken to her about their conversation earlier in the day. Rick asked how he could prove his love to her. Amber admitted she had heard Rick defend her to Bridget. Amber said his words had meant a lot to her. Rick touched Amber's free-hand. Forgetting about the ring, Amber revealed her other hand to clasp Rick's. Rick noticed the diamond and asked if CJ had proposed. Amber confirmed that CJ had asked for her hand in marriage, but said she had not accepted - yet. Rick helped remove the ring with a discount brand of dishwashing liquid. Rick told Amber she would not need the ring because she wouldn't marry CJ. When Amber asked how Rick could be so sure, he kissed her passionately. Amber was confused as Rick left the guest house.

Over at Forrester Creations, Morgan cried in pain from the floor and tried to reach the phone. Ridge returned with the company nurse, Susie. Susie said there was not time to wait on an ambulance. Ridge rushed her to the hospital himself. In the Emergency Room, Morgan was wheeled into an examining room as Ridge worried in the waiting area. Dr. Michelle Paxton examined Morgan and ordered an ultrasound to discover the cause of her bleeding. Ridge was brought into the room after Morgan asked if he was still in the waiting area. Ridge said he couldn't leave until he knew everything was going to be all right. Morgan cried that she couldn't lose her baby. Dennis, the ultrasound technician, arrived with a machine and began the procedure. Morgan and Ridge were excited to hear the baby's heartbeat loud and clear. Just as Dr. Paxton returned, though, Dennis looked alarmed and told the doctor she had to look at the screen. Morgan begged to know what was wrong with her baby.

(EXCUSE ME! Didn't this exact same scene take place during Taylor's first ultrasound? That evil doctor looked concerned, but only because he discovered Taylor was carrying twins. Did the writers just pull out that old script and tape the pages into today's episode? And I certainly would never select a doctor that telegraphs supposed bad news with a concerned look! Get Real!)

In Brooke's office at Forrester Creations, Bridget explained her evening plans to her mother. Taylor arrived at the door and overheard the tender mother-daughter conversation. Bridget told Brooke she didn't like a lot of rules, but she knew it meant Brooke cared. Taylor entered the office and complimented Bridget and Brooke on their improved relationship. Bridget told her mother she was spending the night at Jessica's house and left. Taylor told Brooke she had made the right choice by dumping Thorne. Brooke replied that she still loved him. Taylor agreed it was a big sacrifice, but one well worth the trouble. Taylor suggested Brooke steer clear of Thorne to mend her broken heart. (Uh, can anyone explain why Taylor was hanging around Brooke's office?)

At Kimberly's beach house, Thorne complained about Bridget's interference in his love life. Thorne threatened to leave when Kimberly bad-mouthed Brooke. Kimberly apologized and said Bridget was at an age when she needed a strong role model in her mother. Kimberly explained that she (Kimberly) had become an over-achiever because she didn't have a mother growing up. She felt the need to seek approval from everyone. Thorne said he thought Kimberly had turned out fine. She replied that she had never been happy until she met Thorne. She emphasized that Bridget needed maternal attention. Thorne apologized for being insensitive and excused himself. Kimberly understood and told Thorne that Bridget was coming over to spend the night. (Wait, didn't Bridget say she was going to Jessica's house?) Thorne left and realized that Brooke would be home alone that evening.

Bridget arrived at Kimberly's beach house, prepared for an evening of girl talk and popcorn. She told Kimberly that Brooke wouldn't have let her stay at Kimberly's, so she lied of her whereabouts. The two girls discussed Thorne and Brooke's relationship. Bridget was certain her mother was spending the night at home, alone. She was sure Brooke could never forgive Thorne.

But Thorne had broken into Brooke's house. (Again, doesn't anyone lock their doors in Los Angeles?) He made a beeline for Brooke's bedroom. (The actual room, not the cheesy clothing line.) When Brooke arrived home, she found a trail of rose petals leading to her bedroom door. She went inside and found Thorne lighting candles. She told Thorne he would have to leave. Thorne smiled and said he was going to spend the night.

Sally and Stephanie talked in Ridge's office at Forrester Creations. They agreed it was a bad idea for CJ to be living at the Forrester estate, but disagreed about whether Rick or CJ should act as Little Eric's father. Sally changed the subject and told Stephanie it was sick for Thorne to be involved with Kimberly and she (Stephanie) should forbid her son to see the teen. Stephanie balked and told La Spectra that Thorne had not listened when she wanted him to drop Brooke. She doubted he would listen to her about this situation either. Stephanie admitted she had talked to Kimberly about her love for Thorne and had expressed reservations but did not discourage the relationship. Sally accused Stephanie of not stopping the relationship because it served her purpose of breaking up Thorne and Brooke. Sally said she would not allow Thorne to make any moves on her step-daughter. The conversation was interrupted by Megan calling to tell Stephanie that Ridge had taken Morgan to the hospital.

In the emergency room, the doctor told Morgan that there was a tear in the placenta that had caused her bleeding. The tear was very small and would heal on its own. The baby was in no danger. (So you mean to tell me that the drama at the end of yesterday's episode was for nothing? I'm so surprised.) Morgan looked at the ultrasound image of her baby and invited Ridge to look as well. The doctor informed the couple that the unborn child was a boy. Ridge smiled with pride. Morgan was relieved her baby was healthy. The doctor discharged Morgan and told her to take it easy. Ridge had to leave the hospital for a meeting just as Stephanie arrived. La Forrester offered to give Morgan a ride home. Morgan accepted the invitation and smugly informed Stephanie that her grandchild was a boy!

Episode Date: Wednesday, October 11, 2000

In his office at Forrester Creations, Ridge told Taylor about Morgan's chair accident, his taking her to the hospital, the good news that the baby was fine and that Morgan's child was a boy. Taylor was puzzled to learn that Stephanie was still at the hospital with Morgan since the two women didn't like each other. Taylor noticed that Ridge seemed irritated by the ordeal. He explained that the trip to the emergency room had delayed his chance to go home. Taylor was jealous that Ridge had gotten to share Morgan's ultrasound before she did. Taylor was excited for her friend as she left Ridge alone to work.

Over at the emergency room, Stephanie was upset to learn that Ridge had viewed Morgan's ultrasound with her. Morgan assured Stephanie that she planned to keep the secret of her baby's paternity just as she had promised. Stephanie spit that she didn't trust Morgan. She was supposed to stay away from Ridge all together. Morgan figured Stephanie was upset she wasn't in control of the situation. Morgan said she was not coming on to Ridge, it had been fate that brought them together. La Forrester suspected that Morgan planned to keep placing herself in Ridge's life and then accidentally slip the secret to Taylor one day. Morgan laughed at the notion and told Stephanie she had integrity and would not do such a thing. They were both surprised when an ecstatic Taylor arrived to congratulate Morgan. (Doesn't Taylor ever go home and take care of her precious children?)

At Kimberly's beach house, she and Bridget sifted through several videos deciding which one to watch. (Kimberly's BlockBuster account must be really in the red!) Bridget worried about how her mother was dealing with life without Thorne. Kimberly assured her friend that everything would work out well for everyone. Bridget thanked Kimberly for her help and advice in the situation. Kimberly said she planned to be there to help Thorne through the difficult times. They looked over at Thorne's house (Stalker! Stalker! Stalker!) and noticed no lights were on. Bridget was concerned he might be over at her mother's house.

And sure enough, Thorne was in Brooke's bedroom. (No, he wasn't wearing cheesy lingerie, he was actually in the room where Brooke sleeps.) Brooke asked Thorne not to try and seduce here. He had ruined the commitment they shared when he kissed Kimberly. Thorne said he would never give up Brooke for anyone. Even though she truly loved Thorne, Brooke said she could not trust him with her daughter's life. Thorne was certain he could convince Bridget to accept him. As Brooke resisted, Thorne asked her to give him one night. He gently kissed her and then lowered her onto the rose petal festooned bed. As he plied her with passionate smooches (is it getting hot in here?) Brooke heard Bridget and Taylor's warnings in her ears. (I'm surprised she could hear anything with Thorne's tongue roaming around there.) Brooke put a stop to the proceedings and begged Thorne to try and understand her position. Thorne developed a constipated look on his face and sarcastically said he sure enough did understand. As Thorne shuffled out the door, Brooke asked him not to leave angry.

Too late! He was pissed and he hit the road!

Episode Date: Thursday, October 12, 2000

Dear Readers: The final act of today's episode was pre-empted with a presidential news conference. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure we really missed all that much. The writer's must have taken a day off because today was mostly made up of flashbacks.

Brooke cried in her bedroom and remembered (in flashbacks) how she had spurned Thorne's advances and how he had left her bedroom. She told herself he was gone for good.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge and Eric worked late as Stephanie tried to call Thorne. She got no answer. Brooke entered the room and told the gathered Forresters that Thorne had been in her bedroom but she had sent him away. She said she and Thorne were finished even though they still loved each other. Brooke told the meddling relatives they should be happy and congratulate themselves. Eric offered some hollow sympathy which Brooke quickly rebuffed. Stephanie assured Brooke she had made the right decision. Brooke said she had made the right decision for the family, but not for herself. Brooke then asked to speak to Stephanie alone. Eric promised to wait for his wife right outside the office door. (I'm going to assume the conversation between Brooke and Stephanie did take place and we just didn't get to see it.)

Meanwhile, Thorne arrived home. He was sad. He was despondent. He was thirsty. He pulled out a bottle of tequila and took several big gulps! In his despair, he noticed a large red photo album. He took the book from it's shelf and looked at photos of Brooke and himself. (Who exactly took all those photos of him and Brooke in Venice?) He gently touched the photos and cried.

Next door, Kimberly was putting her Official Nancy Drew Binoculars to good use once again. (Stalker! Stalker! Stalker!) She told Bridget that Thorne was visibly upset and drinking. They deduced that Thorne was upset over Brooke. Bridget decided to go home and check on her mother. Kimberly agreed and continued her surveillance of the devastated Thorne.

Thorne stumbled onto his deck. As he browsed the tacky photo album, he remembered (in flashbacks) the good times with Brooke in Venice, Eric and Ridge's disapproval, Stephanie warnings, Brooke's teddy (tacky lingerie, not stuffed, cuddly bears) collection, Rick and Bridget's hatred and that damn bubble bath we just can't ever seem to get away from. Thorne drunkenly tore the photos from the album and burned them in his Webber grill. (OK, it wasn't a grill. It appeared to be lava rock, but I think it would have been so much more dramatic in a big, red Weber grill he would have purchased at Home Depot with the over-sized chaise lounge.) As Thorne watched the photos melt, he collapsed to his deck and cried in anguish. (I'm guessing this will be Winsor Harmon's Emmy reel.)

Episode Date: Friday, October 13, 2000

CJ and Amber arrived at Insomnia for a special dinner. Zoe, the hostess of the evening, seated the couple at a special table set with china, flowers and candles. (I thought this was a coffee house, for pity's sake.) After Amber expressed how impressed she was, CJ told her the restaurant could be hers someday. CJ repeated his desire to marry Amber.

As the love birds ate cheesecake, Rick and Bridget took another table at Insomnia. Rick glared at CJ trying to impress Amber. He told Bridget that Amber had changed and he wanted to get back together with her. Bridget was distracted because she wanted to return to Kimberly's house and find out what had happened with Thorne. Rick said it would be a huge mistake for Kimberly to get involved with Thorne. Rick couldn't figure out what Amber saw in CJ. Bridget pointed out that CJ was interesting, cute and funny. (Sounds ideal to me.) Rick told Bridget she could leave if she would pass CJ's car on her way home and set off his sensitive car alarm. Begrudgingly, Bridget agreed.

Back at the fancy table, CJ invited Amber to his private office for an "interview." (He told her she could work at Insomnia as a singer.) As the got up from the table, Zoe returned and told CJ his car alarm had gone off. CJ excused himself to check his car and Amber went to the ladies room. Rick followed her into the toilet and locked the door. Amber was shocked to see Rick in the women's room. Rick explained that he only wanted to talk to her. Amber was nervous that CJ would find him and get angry. Rick decided to forego the chatter and pulled Amber into a kiss. After the pucker up, Amber asked if he was finished. Rick answered with yet another passionate kiss on the fainting couch. (I suppose those girls get the vapors if they have too much caffeine.) Amber was shocked at Rick's actions, but she didn't resist his kisses.

At Brooke's house, Miss Logan cried as she wondered what she had done to Thorne. Taylor called to check on Brooke. Brooke explained how she had rebuffed Thorne's advances after she had promised never to give up on their relationship. Taylor reminded Brooke that she had made the decision for her children's sake. Taylor warned Brooke that Thorne would be vulnerable and she should not go to his place to check on him.

Vulnerable indeed. Kimberly approached a drunken Thorne on his deck. She asked what had happened with Brooke that evening, but he didn't answer. Kimberly escorted Thorne into his living room and kneeled in front of him. She did that weird thing where she placed his hand on her cheek again. (Where did she learn that?) Thorne looked into Kimberly's face and saw Brooke instead. (Man, he was really hammered!) Kimberly turned down the lights, lit candles and turned on some sultry R&B music. Kimberly held the wobbly Thorne. He nuzzled her neck and they started to kiss. Kimberly suggested they go into the bedroom! (He was still seeing her as Brooke!) He agreed and stumbled through the door. Kimberly smiled as she extinguished the candles and turned a framed photo of Brooke face down on the table.

You don't think they're really going to do the big nasty - do you?

OK! It's a new day and lots happened. Pay attention.

Thorne woke up in bed with a horrible hangover. He couldn't remember what happened the previous evening, but he did recall Kimberly visiting. Thorne was shocked when Kimberly walked into his bedroom with breakfast on a tray. She was wearing one of his shirts! (Thoughtful young lass that she is, she also brought him a bottle of aspirin.) When Thorne stumbled for words, Kimberly said he didn't have to say anything. She hadn't expected anything to happen, but sleeping with him had been wonderful. (They slept together!) Thorne was speechless and again tried to form words. (That must have been some doozey of a hangover.) Kimberly shushed the hunky Forrester and left for work.

Meanwhile, Brooke was over at Ridge and Taylor's crying on their shoulders. (What!? They're all best buddies now?) Ridge and Taylor assured Brooke she had made the right decision for her children. Brooke was upset that she had hurt Thorne so badly. Brooke wanted to call and Thorne to check on him, but Taylor stopped her. While Taylor and Brooke hugged (WHAT?) Thorne called on Brooke's cell phone. He told his beloved that he had gotten drunk and done something stupid last night. Being firm in her decision, Brooke told Thorne not to call her again. They could not speak to one another. After she hung up, Brooke cried and Taylor hugged her again. (This is getting out of hand.)

At Spectra Fashions, Sally told Clarke about CJ's marriage proposal to Amber. Sally and Clarke worried that CJ was reaching the end of his rope. Sally wanted to get CJ away from the Forresters as soon as possible. She reminded Clarke that it had been Becky's dying wish to have CJ and Amber raise Little Eric.

At the Forrester mansion, Eric, Stephanie and Rick prepared for another sumptuous breakfast buffet. Eric and Stephanie seemed concerned that Rick was romantically interested in Amber again. Amber and CJ arrived with Little Eric. Rick was irritated that CJ made a big deal of caring for the baby. During breakfast, CJ exploded when the Forresters ignored him as they fawned over Amber and Little Eric. He left the table and screamed that he was tired of being treated like a second-class citizen.

Stephanie followed CJ into the living room and apologized for being unkind to him, but wanted him to admit the living arrangement wasn't working. She pointed out that his marriage proposal to Amber was a desperate act. CJ argued that he truly loved Amber. Stephanie replied his feelings were not the issue. He was causing stress to Amber and Little Eric and it was Stephanie's responsibility to care for them. She told CJ to lighten up or he'd be out on his ear - and it might just be Amber that threw him out.

After Stephanie left the room, CJ called his mother. He told Sally that he was reaching the breaking point. He asked her to call uber-lawyer Connor Davis to find a way to get Amber out of the Forrester house. Sally promised to call him immediately. After hanging up the phone, CJ vowed to himself that if Connor couldn't get Amber out of the situation, he certainly would.

Finally, at the Forrester photo studio, Kimberly met Bridget. Kimberly excitedly told Bridget that she and Thorne had slept together. Bridget was blown away that Thorne and Kimberly had sex. Kimberly was stunned and said she and Thorne had only slept together - they had not had sex. (Oh, you have to be careful with those semantics, honey.) Kimberly then realized that Thorne had been acting strangely that morning because he thought he had made love to her!

Omigawd! The dominoes are starting to fall!

In the Forrester guest house, CJ complained to Amber about how the Forresters were pressuring her to come to the dark side. He suggested they run away and start a new life together with Little Eric. He pointed out that the Forresters' motives were phony but what CJ felt was real. Amber didn't want to do anything impulsive. CJ said he hated not spending all his time with her and Little Eric. He missed their life in their seedy apartment. CJ didn't want to share Amber. She noticed they were alone at that moment so they started making out on the bed. It was getting hot and heavy when they were interrupted by a call from Helen saying Little Eric had awakened from his nap. CJ said he was going to meet his mother and he was going to "take care of everything."

In Sally's office at Spectra Fashions, Connor Davis explained to La Spectra that the Forresters' legal maneuvers only kept Amber under their roof. Since CJ had been Becky's husband, he had a more legitimate claim to custody of Little Eric than Rick did. Sally then worried that CJ would have to choose between Amber and the baby. CJ arrived and was excited to hear the news. Connor explained that the video tape Becky had left made her intentions for Little Eric's future clear. Connor said they would have to get a ruling from a judge, but he was sure CJ could have full custody of the baby by that evening. He warned that Little Eric's custody did not effect Amber's parole provisions. CJ was certain the Forresters would not want Amber under their control if she didn't have any claims on the baby. Sally warned her son that he was entering into serious business by assuming custody of Little Eric. CJ said it was what he wanted and Sally extended her full support.

Back at the Forrester mansion, Rick and Stephanie chatted in the living room. He expressed his distrust of CJ and told how much it had hurt him to see Amber try on the engagement ring. He told his step-mother that he wanted Amber back. Stephanie suggested Rick tell her how he felt.

Amber arrived to pick up the baby. Rick asked to speak to her. He said he never should have let her go. He missed what they had once shared. Amber didn't want to discuss the matter. She feared Rick was reacting to an emotional situation. Rick protested that his feelings were stronger than ever. Amber reminded Rick of all the troubles they had weathered together and they couldn't pretend they didn't happened. She pointed out that the Forresters had hated her in the not-to-distant past. Stephanie butted her nose in and told Amber that she had redeemed herself to the family. Amber said she didn't belong with the Forresters, she had only been a visitor. She couldn't be the kind of woman Rick really wanted. Stephanie said the only thing the family wanted was for Rick to be happy. They did not care about social standing. They were concerned about what was inside the person. Stephanie remembered how Amber had saved Rick's life by donating a kidney and saved her life by attacking Sheila. (What! No flashbacks? I feel cheated.) Stephanie said Amber was like royalty to her. Rick agreed. Amber grew teary and said that was nicest compliment she had ever received. Rick approached Amber and told her they could be a family again.

Their tender moment was interrupted by a phone call from CJ. Stephanie and Rick left the room to give Amber privacy. CJ told Amber to pack her bags because Connor had found a way for them to move out of the Forrester estate that very evening. A confused Amber quietly agreed and hung up the phone with a pained look on her face.

I'd be pained, too. Live in the lap of luxury or hang out with that cutie-patootie CJ. Hey, Amber! Can I have whichever one you don't choose?

Episode Date: Wednesday, October 18, 2000

In her office at Forrester Creations, Morgan fondly remember viewing her baby's ultrasound with Ridge. Clarke arrived to check on Morgan's health. Morgan explained that the baby was perfectly healthy. Clarke gave her an early baby gift - a silver rattle. (It looked just like a Tiffany's box to me.) Clarke was excited to learn the baby was a boy and promised to help Morgan in any way he could. Clarke thought he would be a father figure for the child and how that would upset Ridge. Morgan didn't like Clarke bad-mouthing Ridge. Clarke told Morgan that Ridge would not be around to help her raise the child. He was a hypocrite! Clarke would prove that he was a better man than Ridge. Morgan reminded Clarke that he had promised not to tell anyone that he knew Ridge was the father of Morgan's baby. She insisted he stay away from Ridge. (Yeah, like that's going to happen.)

As he sketched in his office, Ridge smiled as he remembered learning that Morgan's child was a boy. His revere was interrupted by Clarke barging into the room. (Told you so.) Ridge asked Clarke to leave, but Clarke wanted to get under Ridge's skin. Clarke mentioned that Ridge looked worried. He said he was surprised Thorne was hitting on a teenage girl since Ridge had always been the playboy of the family. Clarke scared Ridge when he said he knew what he had done for Morgan. But Clarke went on to say he knew Ridge took her to the hospital after her fall. Clarke said he would be taking care of Morgan from now on. Clarke told Ridge he would be an important part of the baby's life. Ridge didn't appear to be happy to think of Clarke as a father figure for his son.

In the Forrester living room, Rick told himself that he could make Amber happy again. In flashbacks, Rick recalled their romantic trip to Venice as Amber warbled a touching song in his memory. Stephanie entered with Little Eric. Rick and Stephanie discussed how big the baby was getting. "One day they're babies. The next thing they're all grown up" Stephanie mulled. (I'll say. Shouldn't Rick be about 10, CJ around 9 and Bridget only 6 or so? There must be a growth accelerator hormone in the water at that house.) Rick remembered how Becky had wanted Little Eric to live as a Forrester with him and Amber at one time. Stephanie encouraged Rick not to give up on that idea if it was what he really wanted. Alone with Little Eric, Rick assured the baby that Amber was always thinking about them.

And sure enough, she was. Amber, Rick, Sally and Connor Davis were at the seedy apartment looking for CJ and Becky's marriage certificate. Amber looked on quietly as the others searched through boxes. Connor said they didn't have time to order a copy from the state as that would give the Forresters time to plan a counter attack. In a melancholy mood, Amber said suing for custody seemed like a drastic step to take. She pondered that even if CJ did gain custody of Little Eric, she might not be able to leave the Forrester house. Crudely, CJ stated that the Forresters had no interest in Amber if she didn't have the baby. Ouch! That hurt Amber real bad.

CJ found the certificate and the video tape. All four watched Becky say how she wanted Amber and CJ to raise her son. (If everything was packed up in boxes in the seedy apartment, how come the television and VCR were set up, plugged in and operational?) Amber and CJ cried as they watched Becky speak to them from the dead. They expressed how much they missed her. Connor planned to take the video and the marriage certificate to a judge immediately to get a ruling. Sally offered her support to CJ and Amber and left with Connor.

Alone in the seedy apartment, CJ hugged Amber and told her they would be a family again and there was nothing the Forresters could do about it. Amber didn't look like she was sold on the plan.

Episode Date: Thursday, October 19, 2000

Ridge entered Morgan's office at Forrester Creations and found Clarke there. Clarke continued to needle Ridge by saying he planned to marry Morgan and be a father to her son. Ridge told Clarke that would never happen. Clarke told Ridge he had no say in how Morgan raised her child. Clarke taunted Ridge by saying her would raise the child to be a fashion designer that would overtake the Forrester empire. Clarke told Ridge that would be ironic. (Yes, I really do think.) Ridge wondered what Clarke meant by that. After Clarke left, Ridge encountered Morgan and asked her if she had told Clarke that he (Ridge) was the father of her baby. Morgan didn't answer. (I guess they forgot to write any lines for her that day.)

Amber was at Insomnia chatting on the pay phone with Sally. Sally was at the Forrester guest house and told Amber that she (Sally) and CJ would handle the situation with the Forresters. Amber worried that something would go wrong, but agreed to meet Sally and CJ at Sally's place a little later. Amber then joined Darla at the coffee bar. Darla commented that Amber didn't seem all that excited about moving out of the Forrester mansion. Amber said the Forresters really did have Little Eric's best interest at heart and Rick had defended her to Bridget. She said it was hard to believe that Rick would have feelings for her again. Questioned by Darla if she was still involved with CJ, Amber said they were a family and would get married. Darla questioned Amber's feelings for Rick.

They were interrupted by Scott, the Insomnia DJ, asking Amber to sing. Amber got on stage and sang the most maudlin version of "Torn Between Two Lovers" you've ever heard. (The song was basically un-recognizable until she got to the chorus! It was downright spooky sounding. Poor Miss Maureen McGovern must be rolling over in her grave! Wait, she isn't dead. Or was it Melissa Manchester? I don't think she's dead either.) During her haunting performance, Amber remembered the good times with both Rick and CJ. After the song, a concerned Darla asked Amber if she was still in love with Rick. Amber said she felt bad for Rick because he was about to lose both her and Little Eric. (I'm not so sure Amber isn't loving Rick a little too much.)

Back at the Forrester guest house, Sally instructed CJ that she would do all the talking when they went to get Little Eric. She thought there was no need for lawyers or police. Sally was certain they could all work out the situation like adults.

Meanwhile, at the main house, Rick reported to Stephanie that all of CJ's belongings had been removed from the guest room. They were happy to think CJ might be moving out. Sally and CJ appeared at the door. Sally said it was time to take "her boy" home to his family. Sally meant Little Eric, but Rick and Stephanie assumed she was talking about CJ. The four decided they should talk about visitation with Little Eric, so they all sat down for tea. (My, how civilized.) They agreed that there would be no problem with everyone seeing the baby since they all loved him. Stephanie and Sally both commented how easy going the other was being. Sally even wondered if they might one day be one big happy family.

CJ decided it was time to leave. He asked to see Little Eric so he could say his good-byes. (Of course, he meant Rick saying good-bye. Rick thought CJ would be saying good-bye. Oh, just like classic French farce.) CJ retrieved Little Eric from Helen and started for the door. Rick was confused and asked where they were going. It then became clear that CJ intended to take Little Eric with him. Rick insisted the baby wasn't going anywhere and threatened to call the police. CJ said go ahead. Sally called Stephanie a school-yard bully. Stephanie said it wasn't a game. Rick said no one was taking his son away from him.

How fast that delightful tea party degenerated into a brawl.

Episode Date: Friday, October 20, 2000

In Morgan's office at Forrester Creations, Miss DeWitt swore to Ridge that she had not told Clarke that he (Ridge) was the father of her unborn child. Ridge replied that Clarke had made odd comments that made him think Clarke knew the truth. Morgan asked what it would gain her to tell Clarke the truth. Morgan suggested that Clarke was only trying to get Ridge's dander up and thought he should keep his cool or Clarke would figure things out. Ridge told Morgan not to trust Mr. Garrison. Ridge did not want that loser near "his son." After Ridge left, Morgan was pleased that Ridge had spoken those words.

Down the hall, Taylor was leaving a note for Ridge in his office when Clarke entered. Clarke told Taylor that Ridge had gotten upset when he (Clarke) expressed interest in getting closer to Morgan and be a father figure to her child. Clarke wondered out loud why Ridge would object to his (Clarke's) interest in Morgan and her baby. Taylor seemed curious as well.

Later, Taylor returned to Ridge's office and found her husband hard at work. She repeated what Clarke had told her. Ridge explained that Clarke knew how to push his buttons. Taylor said she figured Ridge felt a responsibility to Morgan's baby and that was why he was being protective of her. Taylor said she felt responsibility too, but they had to limit their involvement and not get too attached to the child. Taylor also figured that Morgan was smart and wouldn't get too close to Clarke.

Back in Morgan's office, Clarke paid a visit to Miss DeWitt. Morgan was furious that Clarke taunted Ridge. Clarke replied that he was the only person truly on her side. Morgan told Clarke that Ridge was responding to the baby and she would not allow him (Clarke) to jeopardize her child's relationship with his father. And she meant business.

At Insomnia, Amber worried that she should have been with CJ when he went to claim Little Eric. She was upset that things had been out of control for months and that all the trouble was because everyone loved the baby so much. Darla warned Amber not to trust the Forresters. Amber remembered how Becky had been able to bring the two warring clans together. Amber decided she had to be at the Forrester mansion and left poor Darla to pay the bill.

Meanwhile, the standoff continued at the Forrester house. Stephanie told CJ he had no legal right to take the baby. Sally explained that Connor Davis was talking to a judge about getting CJ custody of Little Eric. Stephanie said the baby had suffered enough upset and he should stay where he was until the matter was settled. Rick and CJ argued about who Amber trusted more as Sally and Stephanie called their lawyers.

As the four waited for Connor and Jonathan (the Forrester lawyer) to arrive, Rick reminded CJ that Becky had originally wanted Rick and Amber to raise Little Eric. CJ reminded Rick that he had thrown Amber out of the house. Rick accused CJ of trying to take Little Eric away to get back at the Forresters for Macy's death. CJ retaliated by throwing a punch at Rick. Amber showed up and screamed for them to stop. She told the two guys that they were the men Little Eric loved the most and they had to stop fighting over him. Rick said he was afraid CJ was only using Amber to get Little Eric. Amber told Rick she didn't believe that.

Connor showed up with the legal papers giving CJ temporary custody of Little Eric. Stephanie noted it was temporary. Connor said there would have to be another hearing, but it was just a formality. Jonathan showed up (that living room is getting mighty crowded) and scrutinized the document as Rick worried that Little Eric would indeed have to leave with CJ.

Such high drama on a Friday.

Episode Date: Monday, October 23, 2000

Thorne stewed in his office at Forrester Creations. He recalled his desperate phone call to Brooke after having slept with Kimberly. (And we now know that they only slept together. There was no sex.) Kimberly arrived and insisted Thorne talk to her. They needed to discuss their night together. Kimberly said she didn't regret anything that happened but she realized Thorne didn't remember what they had done. Thorne told Kimberly he knew it was her first time and it should have been special. Kimberly replied that is was truly special and she felt extremely close to him. She then said she had something to tell him that would make him feel better. Just as she got ready to tell the truth, some idiotic day player interrupted with important news about a shipment that had arrived. Thorne asked Kimberly to excuse him so he could do his manly work.

In her own office, Brooke gazed at a photo on the cover of a trashy tabloid, The Inquisitor, of Kimberly and Thorne kissing. Kimberly showed up because Brooke had asked to see her. Brooke said Taylor had told her that Kimberly still thought she had a chance with Thorne. Brooke instructed the young model to let go of her fantasy. Kimberly asked what business it was of Brooke's since she had dumped Thorne. Brooke said Kimberly's delusion had ruined both her and Thorne's lives. Kimberly said Thorne would be OK because she had helped him through the first night. Brooke's eyes glazed over as she recalled that infamous phone call from Thorne telling her he had done something stupid. Angry, Brooke yelled that Thorne would never touch Kimberly. As she sauntered out of the room, Kimberly suggested that Brooke ask Thorne what had happened.

Meanwhile, over at the Forrester mansion, Jonathan confirmed that Connor had produced a legal document granting temporary custody of Little Eric to CJ. Connor said the judge had seen Becky's video tape and decided the mother had the baby's best interests at heart. CJ told Connor he should start to work on changing the baby's name as well. Jonathan sadly told the Forresters they could not fight the court order. Sally thanked Connor for his help as he left. Rick asked Amber not to leave with CJ. Amber replied that she knew Stephanie would not make her stay at the house because Little Eric would need her. Stephanie agreed and gave Amber permission to leave. Amber took the baby from CJ and said good bye to Stephanie. Rick was gone when she went to say goodbye to him. Amber left for the guest house to pack and told CJ and Sally she would meet them at the car.

Stephanie escorted Jonathan out and thanked him for his service. She realized they had no legal grounds to keep Little Eric with them. CJ lashed out at Stephanie for attempting to protect the baby from him. He assured La Forrester that he would raise Little Eric not to manipulate or bully people like the Forresters did. Sally told an unhappy Stephanie that she had brought all this trouble on herself. Stephanie was depressed was CJ and Sally left her living room.

Rick arrived at the guest house just as Amber was ready to leave. He didn't want them to leave but realized Little Eric needed Amber more than he did. Amber said she knew Rick cared about her, but it was too late for them as a couple. Rick argued that CJ was only taking the baby to keep Rick and Amber apart. Amber said she did not feel obligated to CJ; she truly loved him. Rick accused CJ of not caring for the baby. Amber told Rick not to talk like that because CJ was Little Eric's father. Crushed by those words, Rick turned away and cried. Amber gently told Rick he would have to accept that fact. Rick held Little Eric and tenderly told him goodbye. CJ interrupted the touching scene and told Amber it was time to go. Amber picked up Little Eric and walked out the door. CJ looked at his former best friend and told him he'd see him around. A despondent Rick stood alone in the guest house.

All right already. Mr. Smartypants has had enough of this depressing drivel. More singing at Insomnia! More hairdos by Phyllis Diller! More fashions shows! More shirtless Forrester men!

Episode Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2000

At Sally's apartment, La Spectra, Darla, Clarke, Connor and CJ celebrated CJ's custody of Little Eric with a champagne toast. Amber looked on as the group reveled in the Forresters' misfortune. Amber screamed that the family was hurting and that was no reason to celebrate. Sally agreed they should not joke or gloat. Simply put, justice had been served. CJ told Amber that he didn't hate the Forresters, but they put him and Amber through a lot. Sensing the kids needed time alone, Sally offered to take the rest of the partiers out for dinner.

Alone, CJ apologized for getting carried away with his celebration, but pointed out that the Forresters had tried to break them up. Amber said they had only wanted what was best for Little Eric. CJ figured Rick wanted Amber back as well. Amber made it clear that she told Rick she didn't feel that way about him. She said it broke her heart to see the family when they realized Little Eric was leaving. CJ told Amber she was amazing and that he loved her. He promised to quit giving the Forrester family a hard time. He said he'd look for a new apartment for them the next day. As they kissed and hugged, he said he knew they could make their family work. Amber looked dubious.

Rick sat in the guest house and looked at photos of him and Amber. Eric arrived and comforted his son over the loss. (That may be the shortest scene in B&B history.)

In her office at Forrester Creations, Brooke asked Kimberly if she had made love to Thorne. (Apparently, Kimberly did not saunter out of Brooke's office as reported in yesterday's update.) Kimberly refused to answer Brooke's question. Brooke said Kimberly would have had to have seduced Thorne because she knew Thorne would not touch Kimberly. Brooke accused Kimberly of having no regrets for breaking up her romance with Thorne or hurting her family. Kimberly taunted that Brooke, not her, was the queen of seduction. Brooked suggested that Kimberly stop the "teenage virgin routine." Kimberly retorted that it wasn't a routine and IF she was still a virgin, Thorne would find it refreshing after Brooke.

"You are such a conniving, manipulative, little tramp!" Brooke insulted.

"What goes around comes around" was Kimberly's reply. Brooke said Kimberly sounded just like Stephanie. Kimberly expressed her respect for Stephanie and said she loved Thorne. "I'm not a washed up seductress (like you)" Kimberly barbed.

Brooke said she would never believe Kimberly slept with Thorne. Kimberly replied she didn't care what Brooke thought; but if she wanted the truth, she should ask Thorne.

So Brooke hightailed it to Thorne's office. She said Kimberly had said horrible things that pushed her buttons. It upset Brooke to think Thorne had touched Kimberly in the same way he had touched her. The two lovers agreed they missed each other. Brooke said Kimberly implied that she and Thorne had made love. Thorne replied by saying he didn't want to talk about Kimberly. He only cared for Brooke and wanted to get their relationship back on track. A puzzled Brooke asked Thorne to answer her question. Thorne admitted he had gotten drunk the night in question and didn't remember a thing. However, Kimberly was in his bedroom the next morning wearing only one of his shirts. Thorne cried that she meant nothing to him and begged Brooke's forgiveness.

"You slept with her?" Brooke asked as that perfect tear rolled down her cheek.

Episode Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2000

For some unknown reason, Kimberly and Bridget were in Brooke's office. Bridget told Kimberly that she couldn't tell Thorne they hadn't had sex. She was certain it would drive Thorne right back into Brooke's arms. Kimberly said she didn't want to lie. Bridget told her buddy to avoid the topic. (Oh, there's a clever idea.) Kimberly said she couldn't avoid it. Even though they had only slept together, it had been the most perfect night of her life. She mentioned that Thorne did wake up the entire night. (That's called passing out, honey.) Bridget pointed out that Thorne would certainly hate Kimberly if he discovered she had lied. Bridget didn't want Kimberly to lose Thorne so her mother wouldn't get back together with him. Kimberly decided she had to talk to Thorne.

In Thorne's office, Brooke couldn't believe that Thorne wanted her to forget about his sleeping with Kimberly. Thorne reiterated that it had been a meaningless night. It had not been love making, it had been only sex. Brooke said the only way he could make it up to her was if he said it didn't really happen. (Oh, but you see, dearie, it didn't.) Thorne professed his love for Brooke but she would hear none of it. By taking Kimberly to his bed, he made Brooke feel less special to him. Thorne tried another tactic, he blamed Brooke for turning him away that night when he needed her so desperately. (Not a good move, Thorne.) He apologized for not being strong enough to resist Kimberly. Brooke cried that it ripped her soul out to think of him with Kimberly. It would never be the same for them. Thorne tried to get Brooke to stay but she ran from his office.

Brooke returned to her empty office and cried. Bridget entered and found her mother upset. She told Brooke that she knew what had happened between Kimberly and Thorne. Brooke screamed for Bridget to stay away from Kimberly. She was destructive. Brooke warned that Kimberly had destroyed Thorne and she would others as well. (Oh my!)

Back in Thorne's office, the hunky Forrester held his head in his hands and wept. Kimberly entered but Thorne told her he didn't want to talk. Brooke had finally left him. It was over. (I thought he didn't want to talk.) Kimberly admitted she was the cause of all his problems with Brooke and figured he must hate her. Thorne said he didn't hate Kimberly. In fact, he was worried about her. He had taken her virginity and he couldn't even remember it. Kimberly said he didn't force himself on her at all. She then told Thorne she had something important to tell him. (Which of course she won't tell because if she really was going to admit the truth, she wouldn't have stood and stared at him until the commercial break.)

Over at Sally's apartment, Rick stopped by for a visit. Apparently, CJ wasn't around. Rick picked up Little Eric and told him how much he had missed him. (Yeah, right, missed him so much that after holding him for 30 second, he put him in the playpen.) Rick told Amber that he felt empty without her. He had to have her back. Amber replied that she had to stay with CJ and Little Eric. Rick told Amber that he knew she wanted him too. He asked if she loved him. He needed an answer to give him something to hope for. Their conversation was interrupted by an angry CJ. Amber asked them not to argue in front of Little Eric. (But did they listen to her? - NOOO!) CJ explained that the law made him the baby's father and Rick had to call before visiting from now on. He and Amber were going to start a new life and they needed space. He ordered Rick to leave because he was upsetting "his" son.

After Rick left, Amber told CJ that all she wanted to do was make a good home for Little Eric. CJ answered that he was ready and they should make a commitment. He retrieved the engagement ring and asked her to marry him again. (Unfortunately, Amber had developed Kimberly-itis. She just stood there and stared at CJ until the commercial break.)

Rick went home and met with Jonathan, the lawyer. Rick desperately wanted Little Eric back. He told Jonathan he planned to find the baby's biological father and convince him to let him (Rick) adopt Little Eric. Rick thought that even if the father had abandoned the baby, he had never formally given up parental rights. Rick expected Jonathan to help him with his task.

This can only lead to heartache. Yippee!

Episode Date: Thursday, October 26, 2000

Brooke and Bridget continued their talk in Brooke's office. Bridget defended Kimberly and informed her mother that Kimberly was not the devil. (Are we sure about that?) Brooke repeated that Kimberly was a bad influence. She had manipulated Thorne into bed. Bridget said she thought Kimberly and Thorne were growing closer. Brooke denied that and said Thorne didn't really want anything to with the teen-aged model. Bridget told her mother that she had to get over Thorne. Brooke then confessed that she hadn't been sure she could stay away from Thorne forever. But he had betrayed her by sleeping with Kimberly and she realized they could never have a future together. Bridget panicked. (Ya see, she knows that Kimberly and Thorne didn't actually get jiggy wid it.)

So down in Thorne's office, the big guy didn't want to discuss that fateful evening any further. He said it hurt him to think it had been special for Kimberly and he couldn't remember what had happened. Kimberly said she had something to say that would change everything. Thorne jumped to the conclusion she was pregnant. (Pregnant!? The supposed night of love making happened yesterday! How could she already think she was pregnant? Thorne, you really are a sap!) Thorne fell all over himself and proclaimed that he would do the right thing. He would be there for her and the baby. Kimberly was touched by Thorne thoughtfulness, but told him she was definitely not pregnant. (And she can be sure, can't she?) Thorne was relieved. Kimberly told Thorne what an amazing man he was to have been so supportive of the possibility of her pregnancy. Thorne said it would be best to forget about that night. When Thorne asked what it was she had wanted to tell him, Kimberly told him it was nothing - it didn't matter anymore.

Later, Bridget found Kimberly alone in Thorne's office. Kimberly assured the jittery Bridget that she had not told Thorne the truth. She had wanted to, but she couldn't. Kimberly figured that as long as Thorne believed they had done some dirty dancing, he would forget about Brooke and turn to her (Kimberly). Bridget hugged her stalking pal in gratitude.

At Sally's apartment, Amber wasn't sure it was the right time for her and CJ to get married. CJ said that Little Eric needed committed parents and a married couple would have an easier time gaining full custody of the baby. But CJ said that even without Little Eric in the picture, he would want to marry Amber. He loved her. Amber replied that she had been searching for a sense of family she never had growing up. She had almost succeeded when she was a Forrester, but her lies had ruined her life there. Now, Amber was scared when CJ wanted to start a family because she was afraid she would lose him and Little Eric. CJ assured Amber that she would never lose him. He would keep asking her until she agreed to marry him. CJ encouraged Amber to accept his proposal and they could share their dream. Amber relented and told CJ she would marry him. CJ excitedly placed the engagement ring on her finger and tossed Little Eric in the air. The three shared a happy hug.

But over at the Forrester mansion, trouble was a-brewin'. Jonathan wanted Rick to think before taking any drastic measures. He figured Little Eric's biological father didn't want to be found. He encouraged the young Forrester to accept the things that he couldn't change. Rick said the most formative year of a teenager's life was his senior year in high school. (Uh, Rick, could you please cite your sources of this dubious fact?) Rick explained that his senior year had been spent raising Little Eric and they were bonded for life. He had to get his son back. Rick figured Becky's parents might know the identity of the biological father. He called Uncle Joe and asked to come visit. Joe agreed. Rick told Jonathan he would leave for Furnace Creek first thing in the morning. He was certain he would get his son back - and Amber too.

Episode Date: Friday, October 27, 2000

As a new day dawned on Los Angeles, CJ hurried to Spectra Fashions and excitedly told Sally, Darla and Clarke that Amber had agreed to marry him. Clarke asked if they were sure the timing was right. Sally questioned if CJ was happy. CJ assured his parent that everything was perfect. (Short, sweet scenes. That's what I like. Unlike the next one.)

But meanwhile, at Sally's apartment, Amber just finished telling a devastated Rick that she had accepted CJ's marriage proposal. Amber said she hadn't meant to hurt Rick. Rick said he loved Amber and asked how she could do this when they still had a chance. He pulled her into a kiss, but she pushed him away. Amber said it no longer mattered what she wanted, it only mattered what she needed - and what Little Eric needed. Amber said it was wonderful that Rick loved her, but CJ was ready to make a commitment. Rick said he was ready to make a commitment to her as well and pulled out a diamond ring. Realizing it was her first engagement ring, Amber was speechless! Rick reminded Amber that she had told him to keep the ring when she returned it so he would always know that someone loved him. Amber said she never thought he would actually do as she had requested. She argued that had been a long time ago and things had changed. Rick agreed. They had both matured. He had let his pride get in the way before and now he didn't want to let Amber get away again. Amber was touched, but she said she had already accepted CJ's proposal and he and Little Eric were counting on her - and Little Eric was his son. Rick asked if Amber would marry him if he had custody of the baby. Amber replied that was an unanswerable question since that couldn't happen. Telling Amber he intended to regain custody of his son, Rick quickly left the apartment. (At least Amber had combed her hair after several days of messy curls.)

Later in the day, Amber took Little Eric to a chapel and prayed. She said Rick's love and forgiveness were precious to her, but she was confused because CJ loved her too. She prayed for guidance because she needed to know what was best for Little Eric. She didn't want to make any more bad decisions because his future was at stake.

That night, CJ ushered Amber into Sally's apartment where Sally, Darla, Clarke and Connor threw a congratulatory party. (Darla had wanted to make it a surprise party so she and Connor could hide in the bedroom together. You go, girl!) Sally thanked Amber for making CJ so happy. Clarke and Sally toasted the happy couple. Darla flirted shamelessly with Connor, but took time to notice that Amber had that "look" on her face. CJ asked why Amber was being so quiet. She replied she had a lot on her mind. CJ assured his fiancée that everything would be all right.

At the same time, Rick drove to Furnace Creek. He visited Becky's parents, Joe and Tillie. Rick informed them that CJ and Amber were engaged. Joe wasn't surprised and said CJ was a fine young man. Joe asked if Rick was upset he wouldn't be able to get back with Amber. Rick, none to gently, said he wasn't sure CJ was ready to be a good father to Little Eric. He asked if Joe and Tillie knew anything about Little Eric's biological father.

"He's scum, Rick. He's filthy, lying scum and that's all you need to know about him" Joe bellowed. (Don't hide your feelings, Joe. Let it out. Tell us how you really feel.) Rick begged for any further information. With Tillie's encouragement, Joe admitted they did know the identity of the father!

Oh my! This may turn ugly very quickly.

A shirtless Ridge shaved in front of a mirror in his never-before seen bathroom. (It was huge! - the bathroom, that is. There were orchids everywhere! But only one dinky little towel rack. How cheesy is that?) Taylor entered with Thomas so the tyke could say good night to his father. Ridge got sappy and hugged Thomas tightly and told him how much he loved him and that he was sorry he had been so busy. Catherine, the nanny, came and took Thomas away. (To bed, we were to assume.) Even though Ridge and Taylor had dinner reservations, Taylor locked the bathroom door and propositioned Ridge. As Ridge prepared an herbal bath for them, he promised Taylor he would always be committed to her and the family.

Over at Morgan's Malibu Beach House, Clarke paid a visit to a white-nightie-wearing Morgan. Morgan asked Clarke to stay away from the Forresters - especially Ridge. Clarke said he would keep his promise and not tell anyone he knew Ridge fathered Morgan's child. Clarke suggested Morgan relaxed and offered her a neck massage. (bow chicka bow bow!) Clarke got carried away and nibbled on Morgan's ear. He told her he was committed to her and the baby, he wanted to be a part of their lives, and he was attracted to her. The next step was logical. Morgan resisted Clarke's advances and told him to stop. A frustrated Clarke told Morgan she was still hung up on Ridge and her life would never be complete because of her obsession. Clarke predicted her feelings would intensify after her baby was born and explode one day - and that would certainly ruin Ridge's marriage.

Meanwhile, at Sally's apartment, Amber and Darla cleaned up after the party. Amber confided to Darla that Rick had proposed to her that morning. Darla was shocked as Amber admitted that Rick was important to her, but so was CJ. She had turned Rick down because CJ and Little Eric were her family now. Amber told Darla she didn't plan to tell CJ about Rick's proposal because it would upset him. Rick wasn't after her, Amber insisted. He was just going through a rough time and wasn't thinking clearly. She said he had some crazy idea that he could win Amber back if he regained custody of Little Eric. Darla was certain that could not happen and suggested Amber forget all about Rick and concentrate on CJ and Little Eric.

But out in Furnace Creek, Rick was pumping Joe and Tillie for information about Little Eric's biological father. Joe didn't want to talk about him. He thought it was best that Little Eric never know what a horrible person his father was. Tillie agreed with Rick's assessment that medical history might be important. Joe let it slip that the man's name was Deacon. He was a con artist who was passing through Furnace Creek on his way to Las Vegas. When Becky discovered she was pregnant, she had hoped Deacon would marry her. Unfortunately, when she went to tell him, he had already left town. (Now are we to assume this Deacon character doesn't know he has a child? Oh, that's really good.) Joe cried that Deacon should have gotten sick and suffered - not Becky. Joe was so upset he had to leave the double-wide trailer home.

Alone with Rick, Tillie gave him a photo she had saved of Becky and Little Eric's biological father. It was blurry, but Rick thought it would be helpful. Tillie told Rick to keep the photo because she didn't ever want to see that man's face again. (Then why did you keep the photo to begin with, Tillie? In fact, if he was so horrible, why did you even take it in the first place?)

Rick drove home from Furnace Creek and told himself that he would get Amber back if he got custody of Little Eric. Rick arrived at the Forrester guest house and met a private investigator named Ted. Rick explained that he wanted to find a man named Deacon that drove expensive sports cars, and about two years ago was headed for Las Vegas. (I'm not a professional, but I don't think you've got much to go on, kid.) Ted concurred. Rick explained that Little Eric's future depended on finding this man. Rick then explained that Deacon was the biological father of Little Eric. Deacon probably didn't even know he had a child. Rick also laid out the whole Becky/Amber/Little Eric story. Ted said it would take a lot of time to find this man. Rick said there was no time. Money was no object. Ted left to find Deacon. Rick looked serious. (Dull.)

Meanwhile, Ridge and Taylor cavorted in their bubble bath. They frolicked, they laughed, they teased, they kissed. You get the idea, don't you? (Hey, didn't we see this same saccharine scene with Brooke and Thorne in Venice back in January?) I guess the writers were tired.

Meanwhile, at Morgan's Malibu Beach House, Clarke continued his tirade against Morgan. He told the designer she was obsessed with Ridge and she could not have the perfect life she dreamed of having with her beloved. Everything would fall apart.

Clarke left and Morgan thought he was mistaken. She wasn't obsessed with Ridge. But then she had a fantasy where Ridge accompanied her home from the hospital with her baby. Ridge was a proud father and told Morgan that both her and the baby were now members of the Forrester family. Morgan was happy to hear that. The fantasy continued with Morgan preparing "pecan encrusted mahi-mahi and garlic mashed potatoes" for their first night as a family. (I kid you not, that's what she told him she had made.) Ridge surprised Morgan by telling her he loved his new son so much that he planned to move in with them at the Malibu Beach House. (Dear readers: a special news bulletin interrupted the finale of the fantasy sequence. I'm sure Morgan was really happy and cried a lot and kissed Ridge.)

Morgan returned to the real world and realized Clarke was right. She was in love with Ridge. Morgan called the Forrester house, but hung up when Taylor answered the phone. Morgan then took a framed photo from her mantle. It was a photo of her, Ridge and Taylor taken in Ridge's office. (When and why is anyone's guess.) She took the photograph from the frame and carefully ripped Taylor from the scene. Morgan then carried the picture to bed with her and placed it on her pillow.

"Good night, my sweet" she cooed. (Oh, that's just too icky. I love it!)
