Taylor and Morgan continued their tense tete-a-tete at the Mannequins bar. Taylor inquired why Morgan had come to the restaurant. Morgan teased that she was stalking Ridge. It was painfully obvious that the two woman did not like each other. Taylor instructed the hostess to seat Morgan next to her and Ridge so Morgan wouldn't have to strain her neck to eavesdrop on their conversations. Taylor was surprised when Clarke arrived to have dinner with Morgan. Morgan told Clarke she wanted to sit on the opposite of the restaurant from the Forresters.

Back at their own table, Taylor informed Ridge that Morgan had arrived at the restaurant and was dining with Clarke. Taylor admitted she had talked with Miss DeWitt and actually enjoyed sparring with her. Ridge told his wife that Morgan wasn't as tough as she acted. She had a vulnerable side. Taylor inquired how Ridge and Morgan had been involved in the past. Ridge admitted he and Morgan dated when they were young and both working at Forrester Creations. Taylor was shocked to learn that Morgan had ended the relationship by dumping Ridge. Even though Taylor was somewhat glib about the matter, Ridge told his wife he had tried to get back together with Morgan, but she completely disappeared. He never knew why she had ended the affair but no longer really cared. His life had worked out for the best. Taylor was very curious about the past because she felt Morgan was not over Ridge to this day.

On the other side of the restaurant, Morgan stared at Ridge and Taylor and told Clarke she had something in common with Taylor. (Hmmm, that really makes one curious.) Morgan told Clarke she and Taylor had the same taste in men. (That sounds like a cover-up to me.) Clarke asked if Morgan and Ridge had shared a fling. Morgan told him what she had shared with Ridge was much more than a fling. (What? What are they getting at?) Morgan then told Clarke she saw him writing a note for Giovanni to find in her office. She realized he had tricked Gio, but she agreed to accompany Clarke to Mannequins because she admired his determination.

Over at Spectra Fashions, Adam was surprised with a birthday party by Sally, Macy, Thorne, Kimberly, Rick, CJ, Darla and about three extras that we were supposed to think were Spectra employees. He was presented with soap opera gifts. (You know the kind where the box top and the bottom are wrapped separately to save time in the unwrapping process.) There was much mushy talk about how glad everyone was Adam had returned to help put Spectra back in business. Macy even presented her father with a geeky photo of herself when she was 10 years old.

During the festivities, Rick and Kimberly sneaked off to Clarke's office to make out. Rick wanted to leave and continue their romantic interlude at his place. Kimberly said she couldn't leave her father's party. Kimberly told her beau they didn't need to hurry. They had lots of time to develop their relationship. She even said her father had changed his mind about her getting involved with Rick.

Rick and Kimberly rejoined the party just as Sally was telling Adam how glad she was Adam had returned to her life. Adam said he was blessed with a wonderful family. He was then presented with a final gift. Darla presented Adam with a newspaper. He opened it to the page Sally instructed. A look of horror came across his face when he saw the page.

In a dark alley, two devious looking thugs sat in a big, black car and looked at the same newspaper. They were pleased their boss had been correct. Eventually "he" would screw up. They looked a full page ad in that newspaper showing a photo of Adam and wishing him a happy birthday.

Are we to believe the mobsters Adam was involved with 25 years ago couldn't find their target until a full page photo of him ran in the trade papers? How dumb are they? He's been back in Los Angeles for 2 years now.

Episode Date: Thursday, March 2, 2000

At Mannequins, Taylor and Ridge couldn't figure why Morgan would agree to go out with Clarke. Ridge was afraid Clarke would try to steal Forrester secrets from Morgan. Taylor felt somewhat sorry for Morgan. Ridge had said she had a vulnerable side and Taylor was concerned that Clarke would take advantage of her. Although the two women had traded barbs earlier, Taylor liked the competition they had shared. They watched as Clarke sweet-talked Morgan and twirled her around the dance floor.

It was Taylor's idea to ask Clarke to dance so Ridge could dance with Morgan. Morgan was uncertain if it was a good idea, but Ridge assured her Taylor had suggested it. Ridge told Morgan that Clarke had a reputation as a ladies' man. He also informed Miss DeWitt that Clarke worked for Spectra and might try to steal some ideas. Morgan asked if Ridge was afraid Clarke would take advantage of her. Ridge said that was not a concern he had. Morgan was insulted that Ridge thought her to be beyond getting hurt. Ridge laughed and said she must have changed since their younger days because she had certainly been hard on him. Morgan seemed truly surprised to learn she had broken Ridge's heart during those crazy New-Wave days in the early 80's. Ridge jokingly asked her if she had dumped him for a millionaire or a yachtsman. Morgan told Ridge it was not laughing matter. She ran out of the restaurant in tears. Clarke witnessed her departure and took off after her. Taylor and Ridge were left on the dance floor, befuddled and confused. (So what else is new?)

Over at Adam's party at Spectra Fashions, the entire crew thought Adam was speechless with emotion over seeing his photo in the newspaper. Adam escorted Sally out of her office and told her he wasn't sure that had been a good idea. The "bad guys" that had caused him to leave in the first place would certainly see the paper. Adam had been trying to keep a low profile. Sally, although sympathetic, convinced Adam he was over reacting and being paranoid. Adam agreed and rewarded Sally with a big, wet, sloppy kiss. (Ew!) Sally was positively dizzy after their lip lock.

Adam and Sally returned to the party and Macy encouraged her father to sing "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling." (How convenient she had a tape handy to accompany him.) As he was singing, all the guests left the office. When he had completed his aria, Adam told Sally he had been hoping they could pick up where they had left off when he disappeared 25 years ago. Sally didn't think it would be a good idea to take it any further at this point. Her trepidation had nothing to do with forgiveness or him. Sally feared she was unlucky in love. She had not had much luck with romance and always shied away from it. Adam tried to convince her he would never leave her again. (Yeah, that's what they all say.) Adam tried to change her mind with fervent kisses.

At the same time, the two evil thugs that had been looking at Adam's photo in the paper were on their way to Spectra Fashions. They feared their stumbling upon Adam's photo was too easy. The thought it might be a set-up. They were prepared because they were packing heat. They arrived at the security desk and told the guard they had been invited to the birthday party. They turned their backs as CJ, Macy, Thorne, Kimberly and Rick left the building. As the security guard checked for their names on the guest list (guest list?) they knocked him unconscious!

Upstairs, Darla received a phone call as she cleaned her desk in preparation to leave. She went to the cutting room with a couple of bolts of fabric just as the mobsters got off the elevator. The two hooligans entered Sally's office and interrupted a steamy kiss. Adam was shocked to see the no-good-nicks. They told Adam they had been waiting a long time for this moment. One of the mobsters pulled a gun and pointed it at Adam. Sally cried "No" and lunged forward! The gun discharged and Sally fell to the floor! Adam cradled Sally in his arms. "Why did you shoot her?" Adam cried.

1. If these are such cold-blooded killers, wouldn't they have immediately shot Adam as well and then fled? I think so.
2. Didn't we see this exact same scenario several years ago. Sure, you remember. Macy was trying to prove that Anthony Armando, not Thorne, had murdered Ivana, the Forrester model. Anthony wised up to Macy's scheme and planned to off her. Sally sensed something was amiss and threw herself in front of Macy just as the gun went off. You see, same scene, different set, different costumes. I'm sorely disappointed.

Episode Date: Friday, March 3, 2000

Taylor and Ridge had left Mannequins and returned to his office because Taylor thought she had lost her car keys there. Taylor wondered what Ridge had said to upset Morgan when she ran from the dance floor at Mannequins. Ridge was not certain what had taken place. Ridge went to his desk to search for the keys. When he looked up, Taylor had stripped to her black, lacy bra and panties. (She did have the good sense to keep her panty hose and pumps on, though.) Ridge was surprised at his wife's display of libido. She explained they had not had any time totally alone in a long time. They broke in the couch in Ridge's office. As Taylor lay sprawled under a coverlet, Ridge dressed and told his wife he was leaving to go home and prepare their bedroom to continue their love making session. Taylor admitted she had never lost her car keys and told him she would join him soon. (They're not going to leave the building together? That's just stupid.)

Down the hall, Clarke escorted Morgan back to her office. Clarke asked what Ridge had said to upset her. Morgan explained that Ridge had warned her about Clarke's possible ulterior motives. Morgan admitted that had made her even more attracted to Clarke and she kissed him gently in gratitude for a nice evening. Morgan obviously wanted Clarke to leave, but he was persistent. As Taylor was leaving the building, she passed by Morgan's office, heard their voices and stopped to look in. Clarke spotted her and invited her in. He told the ladies' there was enough of him to go around. Taylor began to excuse herself but Morgan asked her to stay and bid Clarke a pleasant evening. Alone with Taylor, Morgan explained she thought Clarke was a bit much, but she, like Taylor, was attracted to playboys. Morgan apologized to Taylor for getting off on the wrong foot with her. She had hoped they could be friends. Taylor invited Miss DeWitt to lunch the following day. Although taken aback, Morgan accepted.

Over in Sally's office at Spectra Fashions, La Spectra lay motionless on the floor. Adam cradled her in his arms and screamed "You bastards! You're going to pay for this."

"You're the one that's gonna pay. Right now" said one of the thugs.

Adam stalled for time. As the mobster pointed his gun at Adam, Mr. Alexander/Fairchild kicked the gun from the enemy's hand and punched both of those bad boys into unconsciousness. I'm not sure why he didn't tie them up or shoot them or something. He only pleaded with Sally to hang on.

Next thing we knew, Adam was following Sally's stretcher into the emergency room. We finally learned that Sally had been shot in the shoulder. There was lots of commotion and medical lingo being thrown around. The doctor announced they'd have to operate immediately.

All better. Sally was in recovery and the doctor said she would be fine. Sally was even able to talk. Boy, that is some hospital and those must be some darn fine drugs. As the doctor was leaving he said the police would be in soon for a statement. Adam told Sally they couldn't tell the police anything that had happened. These mobsters were dangerous. Sally blamed herself for these troubles since she had placed the photo of Adam in the newspaper. Adam said it was his own fault for getting mixed up with the wrong crowd so many years ago. Adam then explained he had to go on the run again to protect his family. Sally begged him not to go and told him she forgave him for deserting the family 25 years ago. Adam asked Sally to look after Kimberly for him. She said Kimberly had become a part of the Spectra family. They professed their love to each other and kissed. Adam pulled away and sang "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" again. Sally joined him on the second verse. (What a treat that was.)

Adam walked out of the room. He turned to see Sally give him a "thumbs up." His parting words were "You keep smiling, Red."

That was all well and good, but far too abrupt. For instance, it would have been touching to hear two lovers singing "their song" to each other as the were forced apart if we had known it was "their song" before yesterday! At least they wrote Adam out of the script. I'm glad he just didn't evaporate like poor James Warrick. As far as we, that poor guy might still be up in Stephanie's guest room.

Episode Date: Monday, March 6, 2000

At Forrester Creations, Brooke had called a meeting. Thorne telephoned her office and asked if his attendance was mandatory. Brooke surmised he was uncomfortable around her. Thorne admitted that was true because he was a married man. Brooke said she would never forgive Eric and Ridge for what they had done to her relationship with Thorne even though Thorne advised her to let go of the bitterness.

In a Forrester corridor, Giovanni ran into Morgan. He wanted to explain what had happened the previous evening. Morgan said Clarke had explained everything to her. She didn't have time to talk because she had attend Brooke's meeting. She told Gio to call her later in the day.

In the Forrester showing room, Brooke, Thorne, Giovanni and Megan gathered to view some of Morgan's new designs. As the first tacky, bare-midriff sashayed down the runway, Eric and Ridge entered the room and stopped the proceedings. Eric announced that no designs were to be viewed without his approval. Brooke insisted she was the CEO of the company and she would make all decisions. Eric told her to stop acting like she was on a "grammar school playground." Ridge asked Giovanni, Morgan and Megan to leave. After they were gone, Brooke told Eric he was out of line. She did not want to see Forrester Creations fail. She loved the company and loved working there. But Eric and Ridge had betrayed her. She could not and would not forget how they had ruined her life. Ridge tried to smooth things over with Brooke but Thorne intervened and told his brother not to try and sweet talk Brooke. Thorne told Ridge and Eric that everything Brooke was doing was justified. The argument grew more and more heated. Ridge suggested he and Thorne settle the score right then. Thorne's every taut muscle tensed and his nostrils flared. (Really, they flared. You could see it.) The two brothers stared at each other and almost came to blows.

Morgan found her way to Insomnia and sketched a retro-looking halter on a napkin. (Such inspired genius!) Taylor arrived and learned that Eric didn't like Morgan's new designs. They both agreed Morgan did not fit the Forrester mold. Taylor made a not-so-subtle note that Morgan was drinking wine by checking her own watch and ordering herbal tea. (Judge not, lest thou be judged, Taylor honey.) Morgan said she was surprised Taylor had suggested lunch because they were such different people. Morgan did think they had the same taste in men and asked Taylor what turned her on. She wondered with whom Taylor would have sex if she weren't married to Ridge. Taylor was embarrassed and said she didn't discuss such private matters with people she didn't know well. Morgan said she intended to become Taylor's friend and get her to let her hair down. Morgan wanted Taylor to be able to tell her "anything." (Maybe they can have slumber parties, do facials and call boys!)

Sally recuperated in a hospital room. A policeman asked her questions as CJ, Macy and Darla looked on. Sally told the cop she didn't see the person who shot her and couldn't offer any help in the matter. After the police left, CJ worried Kimberly would "lose it" when she found out her father had skipped town. They didn't have to wait long for Kimberly to enter the room. She explained she had gone to Spectra, seen the police cars and talked to the security guard that had been attacked. He was doing OK and told Kimberly that Sally had been taken to the hospital. When Kimberly asked what was going on, much stammering and avoidance of eyes took place. Finally, Sally fessed up that the gunmen were the mobsters Adam had been involved with 25 years ago. They had been hunting for him and Sally got in the way. Sally explained Adam feared for his family's safety and, willing to do anything to protect them, went on the run again. Kimberly was beside herself with grief. She couldn't believe her father would leave without saying good bye. Sally assured Kimberly she was part of the Spectra family now and they would all take care of each other.

Kimberly was crying so much I was hoping she would wash away all that hideous eye make-up she was sporting on her lids today.

Episode Date: Tuesday, March 7, 2000

In the Forrester showing room, Eric broke up the rumble between Ridge and Thorne. He yelled that was not the way to settle their problems. Thorne insisted all the turmoil was Eric and Ridge's fault and threw them out of the room. Eric yelled that the battle was not over.

As they walked through the halls of Forrester Creations, Eric ranted about how angry he was at Brooke. Eric was certain Thorne and Brooke were still emotionally involved.

Back in showing room, Brooke thanked Thorne for defending her. Thorne said Brooke had been correct in her stand for Morgan, but she had to let go of all the bitterness and hatred. Brooke was offended and felt Thorne was then siding with his father and brother. Brooke wailed that she could not forget what they had shared and how Eric and Ridge had taken it away from them. Thorne agreed that he remembered how beautiful their relationship had been, but things were different now. He told Brooke to move on with her life. Giovanni returned to the room and, out of spite, Brooke asked him out to lunch the for the next day. Thorne was hurt by Brooke's actions. "You are a fool, Thorne, and you'll never forget about me" Brooke insisted.

CJ visited Amber at her sleazy apartment. She explained she had done everything out of love. CJ hoped both her and Rick would be OK. Amber said their marriage had been annulled. She did not want any divorce settlement from the Forrester family. She had learned and grown from the horrible experience. CJ was happy to hear she was renewing her singing career (speak for yourself, CJ) as Amber left for an audition. When Amber was gone, CJ asked Becky if Amber was really doing well. Becky explained her cousin was strong and would survive. Becky told CJ she had accepted a position at Forrester Creations in Los Angeles and would be staying around. CJ seemed happy to hear that tidbit. CJ pried into Becky's personal life a little bit. Becky said she would marry someday if the right guy came along. CJ shook his head like he was going to be Mr. Right. (Yeah, whatever. I want CJ to have a storyline, but I should stipulate I want him to have a good story line.)

At Insomnia, Taylor and Morgan continued their lunch date. Morgan wanted Taylor to loosen up and dared her to flirt with the cute waiter. As Taylor coyly peered over her menu at the young, bucking stud and checked out his butt, the waiter turned around and returned her gaze. Morgan and Taylor giggled like school girls. Morgan then changed the subject and asked Taylor who Taylor thought Morgan should date. Taylor made it clear that Clarke was not an option. Morgan rattled off several names and then mentioned Giovanni. Taylor's reaction prompted Morgan to guess Taylor thought Giovanni would be a good candidate. Taylor said she did think Giovanni was intriguing and handsome. With some prodding from Morgan, Taylor admitted she thought Gio was sexy. As they parted, Morgan said she didn't mean to pry earlier and had really learned all she needed to know about Taylor. (Wasn't that an odd turn of a phrase?) They agreed they could be friends and would do lunch again sometime soon. Morgan left to return to work as Taylor stayed behind to pay the check. Once outside Insomnia, Morgan turned and looked through the window and Taylor with a "I'm-up-to-something" look on her face.

What, oh what, could it be? You don't think she's going to try and get on Giovanni's good side and then try and throw him at Taylor to get Ridge to herself, do you? Nah, that couldn't be it.

Episode Date: Wednesday, March 8, 2000

Amber arrived at the Café Ruse to audition to be a singer there. We later learned her friend, Jody, had told her about the gig and to talk to Mr. Buchanan. When Amber entered the dining room, Mr. Buchanan was listening to some hideous Mariah Carey clone slaughter a piece of music. As the diva knock-off conferred with her manager, Amber convinced Mr. Buchanan to let her sing for him. Amber did her best to impress the guy, but he was only interested in chowing down on a roast beef sandwich while she was singing. He didn't even let her finish her pathetic, power ballad before telling her "We'll give you a call." When Amber pointed out he didn't have her number he simply told her they weren't interested. Amber offered to be a waitress instead, but he turned her down. (Ow, Amber, rejection sure can hurt, can't it?)

At the seedy apartment, CJ gazed at a photo of Becky and Little Eric as she offered him a drink. He told Becky she had changed from when he first met her. They reminisced about the one date they had shared. Becky said she was much more mature now, but did miss parts of her former life. She realized she was a single, teen-aged mother and not many guys would want to go out with her. CJ wondered why she was telling him these things. Becky said she didn't want CJ to feel obligated to ask her out again. She had noticed he had not made a move since she had been back in Los Angeles. CJ grew frustrated and started to leave. He didn't appreciate being told how he felt. As he headed for the door, Becky grabbed his arm, he turned, and they kissed passionately. (See attached video capture!) Startled, CJ left but Becky followed him to the hallway and asked him what the kiss had meant. CJ told Becky he didn't understand why she berated herself so often. She was intelligent and beautiful. Becky was flattered. CJ asked Becky on a date for that very evening. Becky accepted on the condition Amber could baby-sit. CJ kissed Becky again, gently this time, and left. (Ah, young love. Ain't it grand?)

At Stephanie's guest house, Kimberly bemoaned the fact her father had left town like a common criminal (my words, not hers) to Rick. Rick comforted his beloved and presented her with a gift. It was a diamond pendant necklace. (It was not a soap opera gift. It was wrapped like real people wrap gifts, but Kimberly opened it off camera.) She thought the gift to be too extravagant, but Rick said nothing could ever be enough to show how he felt. He explained he had wanted her from the moment he saw her. The necklace would remind them of all they had been through. They started to kiss (lots of kissing going on today) and Rick was getting pretty handsy. Kimberly pulled away and suggested they take a swim. Rick admonished himself for moving too fast.

Later, the love duo ran back into the guest house and warmed themselves by a roaring fire after their swim. It was explained that Rick had started the fire before they went swimming. But I'd like to know who lit the hundreds of candles strewn about the guest house. Anyway, Rick and Kimberly started kissing (AGAIN!). Kimberly pulled away and said she was uncertain. Rick told Kimberly he wanted her first time to be perfect. He wanted to make love to her. (Omigawd!) Kimberly had a strained look of apprehension on her face as Rick chewed on her neck.

Episode Date: Thursday, March 9, 2000

Sally was back at work in her office with her left arm in a sling. She expressed her concern about the next fashion show to Clarke and CJ. There was lots of work to be done. CJ produced some fabric orders but said he'd have to finish his work in the morning because he had a date that evening. At Sally's prodding, CJ told them he had a date with Becky Moore. He excused himself to change clothes in his father's office.

Alone with Clarke, Sally expressed concern that Becky had deceived the Forrester family and been thrown out on the streets with her cousin Amber. Sally feared Becky might be looking for another meal ticket. Clarke offered to speak to CJ but Sally thought of a better idea.

Meanwhile, Darla walked in on CJ changing his pants in Clark's office. (FYI: CJ wears boxer briefs.) Darla realized he had a date and teased him. When CJ told her he was taking Becky out, Darla said Sally was certain to be upset. CJ told Darla he dated whomever he wanted.

Over at the seedy apartment, Amber returned from her disastrous audition at the Café Ruse. Becky offered sympathy after learning Amber did not get the singing gig. Amber said she had brought home Monty Python movies and popcorn to cheer herself up. (It was Jiffy-Pop popcorn. You remember the little foil pans you put on the burner and the foil on top puffed up. Since the advent of microwave popcorn, I didn't think Jiffy-Pop was still around. I guess Becky and Amber were so poor, they couldn't afford a microwave. But I digress.) Becky offered to stay home and watch odd British humor with Amber, but Amber insisted Becky enjoy her date with CJ. Amber helped Becky prepare for her date and then took Little Eric for a walk in his stroller so Becky could have some privacy.

After Amber left, Becky answered a knock on the door and found Sally standing there. Sally introduced herself and wasted no time telling Becky she wanted to discuss her "track record." Becky admitted she had made some mistakes but she had corrected them and she was grateful CJ was willing to give her a chance. Sally insisted CJ was naïve when it came to dishonest people. Becky swore she had never been dishonest with CJ. Sally planned to keep it that way. She told Becky to forget having a relationship with CJ. Becky had protected her son, now Sally said she intended to protect her son. She told Becky she didn't fight fair when it came to protecting her family. Sally warned Becky she had better give up the idea of dating CJ or suffer the consequences. There was another knock on the door. Sally guessed it to be CJ so she left through the back door. Becky opened the door to find CJ eager to begin their date. (Oh, Becky, girl, what are you going to do?)

Meanwhile, at Stephanie's guest house, Rick was all over Kimberly. He told her he wanted to make love to her that night. She pulled away and admitted she had planned to remain a virgin until she was married. Rick told her she had nothing to fear. He truly loved her. Kimberly did not doubt Rick's sincerity, but had always wanted to save herself for her husband like her mother had. Rick explained times had changed and guys did not expect girls to do that anymore. Kimberly retorted it was something she expected of herself. Rick again professed her love and kissed her passionately. Kimberly again pulled away and said she wanted to save herself for her husband on her wedding night. Rick said that man would probably be him. Kimberly said she hoped it would be. Rick told her he couldn't wait. He persisted they make love right away and pushed her on the bed and chomped on her neck some more. Kimberly was obviously confused. What, oh what, should she do?

Episode Date: Friday, March 10, 2000

Kimberly told Rick he wasn't listening to her as he continued to paw her. Rick replied that she was giving two different messages. Kimberly apologized and said she was confused and she did not think she was ready to make love. Rick said he wasn't angry, but he thought she wanted it as much as he did. Kimberly said that even though it felt right, that didn't make it the right thing to do. She didn't understand why it had to be all or nothing. She understood that he probably missed sex since he had experienced it before. Rick said it had nothing to do with missing sex. He loved her and wanted to "make" love to her. (It was just all so earnest and heartfelt, I thought I'd gag.) Kimberly expressed concern that once they took that step they could never go back and she didn't want to regret making that decision. Kimberly said she would know in her heart when it was the right time and asked Rick to wait for her. Rick said he would wait until she was ready. Then they made out some more.

First of all, isn't it time Rick got in shape? Here was Kimberly sprawled across the bed in a tiny bikini while Rick was schlepping around in that huge, navy blue, terry-cloth robe. What gives? Second, in the course of the conversation, Kimberly said she and Rick had been together a month. A MONTH? It's been no more than two days since Amber told the Forresters the truth about Little Eric! I guess they just forgot to film the other 28 days.

At the seedy apartment, Becky invited CJ inside. With no hesitation, she told CJ that his mother had dropped by to scare her off. CJ hoped Becky still wanted to go out with him.

"You're not afraid I'll take advantage of you?" Becky inquired.

"I was kind of hoping you would" CJ snickered. (Oh, it's going to be a long night.)

They went to Mannequins and hit the dance floor. (You'll no doubt recall CJ's superior dance abilities which he displayed at last summer's disco night at Insomnia. That boy can cut a rug!) As Becky and CJ ate their french fries, they discussed Amber and Rick's future. CJ knew the two would never get back together. Becky felt a little guilty because her life was going so well. She had her son back, she had a fabulous new job and was having a great date with CJ. CJ asked Becky for a slow dance. They hugged and wobbled on the dance floor.

Across town, Morgan dropped by Ridge's house with some papers from Brooke. (Hasn't this multi-million dollar company heard of a messenger service?) Taylor had gone upstairs to put the children to bed. Ridge encouraged Morgan to stay for a glass of wine. He asked what he had said to upset her at Mannequins the "other" night. (It was last night, Ridge.) Morgan explained she simply did not like talking about ancient history. She commented on how he had settled down. She wasn't surprised he had gotten married, but she had expected his wife to be a party girl. Morgan guessed that perhaps their relationship hadn't worked because they were too much alike.

They were interrupted by Thomas running in to say "good night." (There's a new little boy playing Thomas, but we were not treated to the mystery voice saying "The role of Thomas Forrester is now being played by….") Ridge received a phone call from Eric and asked Morgan to watch Thomas while he went somewhere off camera. Morgan protested, to no avail, that she wasn't good with children. Alone with Ridge's son, Morgan grew weepy and said "You know, I've often wondered…." (Wondered what Morgan? What have you wondered?) Morgan commented that Taylor was lucky to have such a beautiful son. Morgan held Thomas and started to cry and shake (she was freakin') when Ridge returned and took Thomas upstairs to bed.

Alone by the fire, Morgan spoke to herself. "A perfect life with a perfect family. How could I have been such a fool? Damn you, Stephanie."

Stephanie? What does Stephanie have to do with any of this? Did she run Morgan out of town all those years ago? If so, I pray that we don't see any flashbacks to 1984 featuring Susan Flannery (Stephanie). Ms. Flannery is a fantastic actress and a consummate professional, but I don't want to see her wearing an Olivia Newton-John head band and leg warmers ala "Physical."

And what does Morgan often wonder? I'm going out on a limb here, but perhaps she was pregnant with Ridge's child. Maybe Stephanie convinced her to have an abortion, or leave town and give the baby up for adoption. Maybe Morgan did leave town but kept the baby. Maybe Ridge's son is 16 years old now. The possibilities are endless. I'm all giddy.

Episode Date: Monday, March 13, 2000

It's a new day in Los Angeles. And what a fantastic day it turned out to be.

Clarke arrived at the Forrester photography studio to find a shirtless Giovanni getting ready for a shave. (He was standing at a cheap, white, pedestal sink from Home Depot obviously placed for this scene only since we had never seen it before.) Giovanni explained he was preparing for a lunch date. Clarke assumed he was escorting Morgan and asked Gio to step aside. Clarke thought he and Morgan could develop something special. Giovanni laughed and said he was having lunch with Brooke instead. Clarke suggested Brooke asked the photographer to lunch in order to fire him. Gio figured Brooke was a lonely, passionate woman in need of some good lovin'. He dressed and left to meet Brooke.

I just want to mention that showing Giovanni shaving and shirtless was shameless. There was no reason to show his muscled pectorals other than pure titillation. It was gratuitous, unnecessary and I loved every frame of it. Keep up the good work, B&B.

Morgan sketched in her office and dreamily remembered spending time with Thomas. Ridge arrived to ask why she had left his house so abruptly the previous evening. Morgan changed the subject by offering to let Ridge fondle the new shipment of organza. (Organza? Couldn't it have been taffeta or nylon or wool crepe? No, it had to be organza. More gratuitous, suggestive, sex talk. I absolutely loved it!) Ridge joked that Morgan had deserted him once again. Morgan told him to stop teasing her about that subject. Ridge agreed they had been young (Morgan was 17 and Ridge was "in his twenties") and it might be best to leave well enough alone. He excused himself to check on his son.

Ridge returned to his office where Stephanie was coloring with Thomas. Some sort of care-giver took Thomas away and Ridge told his mother Brooke had hired Morgan DeWitt as a new designer. Stephanie was curious what would cause Brooke to do such a thing. Ridge passed it off by saying Brooke was trying to infuriate Eric and him. Stephanie asked how it was for Ridge to see Morgan again. He explained it was strange because she had been the first girl he had ever cared about and she had left with no explanation. He wanted her to explain the reason. Stephanie grew agitated and told Ridge she had never approved of his relationship with Morgan because she had been a minor at the time. (That's funny, I didn't know she worked underground harvesting ore. I thought she had been a fashion model back then.) Stephanie encouraged Ridge to leave the past alone as she mysteriously disappeared from the room. (Stephanie was sporting a very glamorous new 'do.)

When Ridge exited his office, he found Clarke wandering the halls. Clark explained he had come to visit Giovanni and Morgan. Ridge told Clarke to stop pestering the new designer and to get out of the building and stay out. Clarke left. (Good idea, Clarke.)

Brooke went to Morgan's office to push her designs forward. Morgan suggested they take it easy so Eric and Ridge would not become more upset than they already were. Brooke said Ridge and Eric meant nothing to her. Morgan told Miss Logan her anger was getting out of control and was affecting her abilities to be the leader of Forrester Creations. Morgan suggested Brooke have some fun. Brooke remembered she had a lunch date with Giovanni, but thought she should cancel it. Morgan convinced Brooke to keep the date. Gio tracked Brooke down and escorted her to lunch.

Morgan continued to work when Stephanie popped her newly coifed head in the door. Stephanie said she was surprised Morgan would come back to work at Forrester after so many years. Morgan explained Brooke had made her an incredible offer. Stephanie suspected Morgan had additional reasons for coming back. Stephanie offered to call a famous fashion designer friend in Italy and get Morgan a job. Stephanie said Morgan would be a fool to turn down such an offer from a friend. Morgan railed that Stephanie had some nerve calling herself a friend after what she had done to Morgan!

How long will we have to wait to find out the whole story on this one? Not long, I'm sure.

Episode Date: Tuesday, March 14, 2000

Macy and Thorne met for lunch at the Café Ruse. Macy wanted to celebrate the arrival of their marriage certificate from Amsterdam in the mail that day. She re-hashed the entire European adventure when Thorne had promised never to hurt her again and convinced her to marry him. She was so glad they were together again. Macy had thought Brooke had destroyed their relationship, but Thorne had convinced her otherwise. Macy didn't notice that Brooke had entered the restaurant with Giovanni. Thorne certainly noticed and kept looking over to their table. (I've not been to Los Angeles in several years, but I'm almost certain there is another nice restaurant in that city other than Café Ruse. Why does everyone show up there time after time?)

Brooke noticed Thorne across the room and turned sullen. Giovanni guessed that Thorne had broken Brooke's heart when he married Macy. Brooke told the photographer she did not want to discuss her personal life. Giovanni suggested Brooke stop sulking and start having fun. That would be the best way to prove to Thorne and to herself that Thorne had no power over her. Giovanni made Brooke laugh by telling her about Clark ruining his date with Morgan. Gio made it clear that although Morgan was fascinating, he was much more interested in Brooke. She thanked Giovanni for helping her out of the doldrums. Brooke and Thorn kept stealing glances at each other across the room.

Back at Macy and Thorne's table, Macy asked it Brooke made it difficult for him at work. Thorne said there was no problem with Brooke. Macy assumed that meant Brooke had accepted Thorne's decision to marry Macy. Macy was also excited because Roberta, the woman she was sponsoring at Alcoholic's Anonymous, had not a had drink in weeks. Thorne told Macy he was so proud of her. Not so fast, buddy. Since there is no other place to purchase alcohol in the state of California, Roberta walked to the portable bar (ever notice how it moves around the room for different scenes?) and asked the bartender for her usual! Ominous music set the scene. Excuse me, who cares? I've seen Roberta once before. I have no emotional investment in her. Let her have a drink if she wants one.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge asked Becky to deliver a file folder to Brooke and Thorne. Becky said everyone had left for lunch. Ridge complimented Becky on doing a good job. (Good job at what? Keeping tabs on people's lunch dates?) Becky left and Taylor entered. She stopped by to make out with Ridge before meeting Morgan again for lunch. Ridge was surprised they were dining together again. He couldn't imagine they had much in common. Taylor said she admired Morgan's uninhibited nature. She said whatever she felt. Ridge asked if they had discussed him. Taylor said they had talked about men and Ridge's name had come up, but he was not the only man on the earth.

Over in Morgan's office, Stephanie was surprised at Morgan's anger. Morgan explained she had been tortured since she left Forrester and it was Stephanie's fault. Morgan said she had left LA as a traumatized teen-aged girl that had been through hell. Stephanie said she had tried to help Morgan back then. She had put her on a plane and had tried to be sensitive. Morgan attacked Stephanie and said La Forrester had not been concerned about her, but only about the Forrester name and reputation. Morgan accused Stephanie of forcing her will on her (Morgan) and making her do something she hadn't wanted to do. Morgan regretted ever trusting Stephanie.

Stephanie argued that Ridge had not been ready to settle down. Morgan said Stephanie didn't ask Ridge if he wanted to settle down. Stephanie reminded the designer that she (Morgan) had asked Ridge and he declined. Morgan said she had not told Ridge the entire truth because she had been confused. Stephanie told Morgan to let the matter go. It had been a lifetime ago. Morgan said she could not forget even with all the therapy she had endured. Stephanie said the past had obviously made Morgan stronger. She had accomplished so much in her life. Morgan wept that all her achievements had been done to try and make her mind forget the horror that was her past. But it didn't work .

"At night it's the worst. I hear the sounds…the sounds of the baby….Ridge's baby crying in my dreams at night….the baby you made me destroy!" Morgan screamed.

Omigawd! Was I on the money or was I on the money?

Brooke continued to sneak glances at Thorne as she lunched with Giovanni at the Café Ruse. Brooke took Gio's hand to prove she could have fun and show Thorne she was over him. Giovanni deduced from Brook's actions that she had deep feelings for Thorne. Brooke insisted she did not want to think about Thorne and Macy. She ordered champagne to make the afternoon more festive.

At another table, Macy told Thorne her Alcoholics Anonymous buddy, Roberta, still had a long road ahead to recovery. Thorne commented how busy Macy was an how proud he was of her. At that moment, Macy saw Roberta at the bar ordering a gin and tonic. Macy intercepted the cocktail just before Roberta took a big gulp. Roberta said Macy did not understand what it was like to have a difficult life. Macy told the lush that her life was not perfect either. Macy pointed to Brooke and explained she had been in love with Thorne and was probably not over him. Macy convinced Roberta to forego the drink and take a walk with her instead. Thorne stayed behind to pay the bill.

As Macy escorted Roberta from the restaurant, Giovanni and Brook wondered what was going on. Brooke then asked Giovanni to dance. (Question #1: Who really dances in the middle of the day in a fancy restaurant? I just don't think it would happen.) Giovanni held Brooke close as they rocked back and forth on the dance floor. Thorne stood by the bar as his credit card was being processed and watched the twosome. Brooke looked over Giovanni's shoulder at Thorne. It's not clear if it was real or imagined, but Brooke and Thorne both heard that opera song that was playing in the streets of Venice when he proposed to her. (Question #2: If the aria was really playing in the restaurant, would people really dance to it? "It's got a great beat. You can dance to it. I give it a 95.") We had to endure the location shots of the proposal again. Thorne's lip quivered and Brooke got Giovanni's shoulder wet with tears. Finally, Brooke could no loner take it and ran out of the room. (Questions #3: Would a woman as upset as Brooke appeared to be really stop to pick up her purse at the table as she left?)

At Ridge's office at Forrester Creations, he continued to express his surprise that Taylor had befriended Morgan. Taylor said Morgan helped her let loose. Taylor felt less inhibited after being with Morgan. Taylor picked up a lingerie catalogue from Ridge's desk and imitated poses like the models in the book. (I have no idea what that was supposed to prove. It was embarrassing and demeaning to poor Hunter Tylo (Taylor). I loved every minute of it.) Ridge told his wife she didn't need to be a "sex bunny/kitten" for him. In fact, he thought Morgan might be a bad influence on Taylor. Taylor said she had to run to pick up Morgan for lunch.

Over in Morgan's office, Stephanie couldn't believe Morgan was blaming her for what had happened. Morgan spelled it out for us that she had gotten pregnant with Ridge's child and Stephanie had convinced her to have an abortion. Stephanie explained she had done what she thought was best for everyone at the time. Perhaps today she might react differently, but she truly did care about Morgan those many years ago. Morgan spit that she now knew Stephanie had no heart and that she had never cared what happened to Morgan. She accused Stephanie of pretending to be concerned about her. Morgan expressed her hatred for La Forrester. Morgan said her anger, guilt and shame over the abortion had not allowed her to ever get close to a man again.

Stephanie decided there was no need to continue to disagree and asked Morgan why she had returned to Forrester Creations. Morgan said she wasn't sure but it might have something to do with closure. Just then, Taylor popped her head in the door to take Morgan to lunch. Stephanie was perplexed and somewhat annoyed that Morgan and Taylor seemed so chummy. Alone in office, Stephanie wondered aloud (is there any other way?) what Morgan might be scheming.

The Bold and the Beautiful was not broadcast today due to CBS coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. I'm afraid our favorite continuing serial will not be broadcast tomorrow either. Oh, the horror!

Episode Date: Friday, March 17, 2000

Happy St. Patrick's Day indeed! The Bold and the Beautiful was not broadcast AGAIN today due to CBS coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. How do they expect us to survive two days (make that four counting the weekend) without the Forrrester family? It's inhumane, I tell you.

Episode Date: Monday, March 20, 2000

Thorne sat in his office, twirled the engagement ring Brooke had returned and remembered the time they had spent together in Venice. As that darn Italian aria played in the background, Thorne wondered how he would ever forget Brooke. And what do you know, Brooke was listening to the same CD track in her head while sitting at her desk. She thought aloud that Thorne might truly love Macy but he would never be able to forget Brooke.

Stephanie entered Brooke's office said she was upset Brooke had hired Morgan. (They both said the word "liaison" and pronounced it the same way.) Stephanie suspected Brooke brought Morgan back to Forrester to cause trouble. Brooke seemed puzzled and then figured out that Stephanie was hiding something. No dummy, Brooke deduced that Morgan and Ridge had been involved many years ago and Stephanie thought Brooke had hired Morgan out of spite. Although La Forrester denied she was concerned about Morgan, Brooke knew better. When Brooke went to answer her phone, Stephanie escaped from the office. Brooke knew something was up and wondered why Morgan hadn't mentioned she had been involved with Ridge. Brooke's reverie was interrupted by some unknown secretary (where's Megan?) telling her there was an emergency telephone call from Paris.

Stephanie went home and found Eric by the pool after a swim. Eric said he didn't like Stephanie going to the office. He was afraid she would get upset. Stephanie said she was upset Brooke had hired Morgan and suggested Eric call some lawyers to get rid of her. Eric was surprised by Stephanie's hatred of Morgan. Stephanie said Morgan and Brooke were two of a kind. They were both opportunists and Morgan was wild and unpredictable. Stephanie said Morgan had proved her true colors by using Ridge in the past. Eric recalled that it was Ridge who had used Morgan. Eric asked if Stephanie knew something about Morgan she wasn't sharing. Stephanie said she knew nothing. Eric insisted Morgan was not a threat.

Thorne took some fabric invoices to Ridge's office. (Why would a designer be concerned with invoices? Wouldn't you want to take those to the accounting department?) Ridge insisted they talk about the tension between them. Thorne blamed Ridge and Eric for that tension. Ridge said he was sorry that Thorne had gotten hurt, but what Ridge and Eric had done they did for the good of the entire family. Ridge asked it Thorne could ever get past it. Thorne told his brother they would never get back to where they had been before. Thorne did not trust Ridge anymore. Their conversation was interrupted by Brooke calling and summoning them to her office.

Morgan and Taylor went to the Insomnia for lunch. (Again? Can't these people branch out and find some new places to eat?) Taylor commented that Morgan seemed quiet and asked if she had interrupted a heated conversation with Stephanie earlier. Morgan told Taylor she didn't really want to talk about it. Taylor said she had heard Morgan was looking for a place to live. Taylor offered to rent her beach house to Morgan. Morgan seemed interested until Taylor raved about all the good times she and Ridge had shared at that house. Morgan looked slightly disgusted by the thought. They were interrupted by the waiter telling them there had been an accident at Forrester and they had been called to return.

Thorne, Ridge, Morgan and Taylor arrived at Brooke's office. Brooke was dumbfounded to find out Taylor and Morgan had been lunching as friends. She then explained there had been a fire in the design storage area at Forrester International in Paris. No one had been hurt, but the collection was in shambles. The designer in Paris could not re-create the dresses by himself so Brooke ordered Ridge and Morgan to fly to Paris immediately to help out!

As Ridge packed in his office, he asked Taylor if she was upset he was traveling to Europe with an ex-girlfriend. Taylor reminded her husband that Morgan had dumped him. Taylor was certain Morgan had gotten over Ridge a long time ago.

But back in Brooke's office, Morgan told her boss there was no way she could go to Paris with Ridge. Brooke squinted at Morgan and wondered what the dang deal was.

Episode Date: Tuesday, March 21, 2000

CJ visited Amber and Becky at their seedy apartment. Amber asked how Rick was doing. She specifically wanted to know if he was dating Kimberly. Although Becky said she shouldn't dwell on Rick, Amber insisted and CJ said Rick was indeed moving on with his life. Amber bemoaned the fact that she couldn't find a singing job in Los Angeles. As CJ and Becky tried to encourage Amber, Mr. Buchanan called from the Café Ruse. He asked Amber if she was still looking for a job. He told her she could begin at the Café Ruse that very night. Amber was ecstatic she was going to sing at the fancy restaurant. (Uh, Amber, honey, Mr. Buchanan didn't specify what he was hiring you to do. I'll bet you dollars to donuts you're going to be the coat check girl.) Anyway, Becky called Amber "girlie girl" (what kind of stupid thing is that to say?) and told her to hurry and get ready.

After Amber left, CJ and Becky discussed what a great break it was for Amber to get the job. Becky said she had felt guilty while trying to cheer Amber up because she was so happy with CJ. Becky and CJ started making out on the couch.

Amber arrived and Café Ruse and was awestruck. She couldn't believe her good fortune. She grabbed the microphone from the piano and pretended to sing for an adoring crowd. Mr. Buchanan arrived and thanked Amber for starting on such short notice. When Amber mentioned all the types of music she could sing, the boss man looked confused. "Sing?" he asked. (What did I tell you, Amber?)

In Brooke's office at Forrester Creations, Morgan continued to insist she couldn't go to Paris with Ridge. Brooke told Morgan she had discovered Ridge and Morgan had been romantically involved from Stephanie. Brooke was peeved that Morgan hadn't told her the truth in the beginning. Brooke said the relationship must have been pretty intense if Morgan couldn't be alone with Ridge. Morgan denied she was still hung up on Ridge. Brooke threatened to fire Morgan if she didn't follow orders and go to Paris. Morgan agreed and left to catch the plane. Alone in her office, Brooke squinted and looked puzzled.

In his office, Ridge apologized to Taylor for having to leave her with the kids. They agreed they would miss each other. They kissed good bye. And kissed…..and kissed….and kissed. Ridge suggested Taylor accompany him on the trip. Taylor said she couldn't get the children ready so quickly. They kissed some more. And kissed…and kissed…and kissed. Morgan approached Ridge's office and spied the lovers making out. Ridge suggested the limousine could wait as he and Taylor did the big nasty on his desk. "Oh behave" said Taylor. (I suppose she must have been watching an Austin Powers movie with Thomas earlier in the day.) Just as Ridge was going in for the kill, Taylor noticed Morgan. Morgan announced the car was waiting for them. Ridge reluctantly agreed to leave. As they left, Taylor asked Morgan to take care of Ridge. Morgan looked slightly nauseous.

Alone in Ridge's office, Taylor re-applied her lip stick (since her last coat was now all over Ridge's face). Stephanie entered because she had heard about the fire in Paris. Taylor told her mother-in-law that Ridge and Morgan had left for Europe to help save the collection. Stephanie went through the roof! Taylor assured La Forrester that everything was fine. Morgan was a friend and although she knew Morgan and Ridge shared a past, she trusted her husband. Stephanie said that was fine, but she didn't trust Morgan. To herself, Stephanie worried that something bad would happen.

Morgan and Ridge boarded the private Forrester jet. As they taxied down the runway, Morgan convinced herself she could handle being alone with Ridge by merely acting professional. Even though Morgan told Ridge buckle up for take off, he insisted on mixing martinis. Ridge carried the drinks toward Morgan. Suddenly the jet took off and Ridge was thrown forward. He tossed the martinis on Morgan's chest (all that good gin and/or vodka -wasted!) and ended up kneeling in front of her. They exchanged sultry looks. I hope he managed to save the olives.

Episode Date: Wednesday, March 22, 2000

At the Café Ruse, Mr. Buchanan informed Amber that he wanted her to work bussing tables. Amber was devastated and called Becky to come to the restaurant for moral support. CJ and Becky arrived thinking Amber was nervous about singing but found her clearing tables. (OK, I just have to go off on this one! Amber was toting a huge, gray tub around the Café Ruse! It was the kind of thing you'd see in a cheesy diner! There is no way a supposedly classy, four star restaurant would use such an industrial piece of rubber in the dining area. It's ludicrous!) But I digress. CJ told Amber not to accept the job. This was beneath her. Amber begged to differ. Her dream of being a singer was over, just like her dream of being part of a good family like the Forresters. Amber felt cleaning tables was all she deserved. Amber choked up when she had to bus the table where she and Rick had their first date. She insisted CJ and Becky leave because she had a lot of work to do. CJ and Becky were worried.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke flagged Taylor into her office. Brooke informed Taylor that Morgan and Ridge shared a past. Taylor was unfazed and told Brooke she was aware of the old relationship. Taylor suspected Brooke knew of their romance all along and hired Morgan to stir up trouble. Brooke said she had learned the truth from Stephanie and wondered why the matriarch was worried about Morgan returning. Taylor said she trusted Morgan. Brooke sniped that she had trusted Taylor and look what had happened to that friendship. Taylor said there was nothing to worry about since Morgan had dumped Ridge in the first place. Morgan had gotten over Ridge a long time ago. Taylor said the only person she was suspicious of was Brooke. After Taylor stormed out of the office, Brooke figured there had to be something more to Morgan than met the eye.

On the Forrester jet, Ridge apologized for spilling the martinis on Morgan's chest and lap. Morgan reminded Ridge he had always been a klutz. Ridge joked that Morgan must have left him because he was clumsy. Over new martinis, Ridge pestered Morgan to tell him why she had left him those many years ago. Morgan lied and said it was so long ago she didn't even remember why she had left. Morgan pleaded with Ridge to forget about the past. She was afraid everyone at Forrester would think she had returned to Los Angeles to re-live the past. Morgan only wanted to concentrate on her design work. Ridge said he would find out the truth eventually.

As Ridge dozed on the plane, Morgan remembered a fateful day back in the 80's when Stephanie took her to an abortion clinic and insisted Morgan terminate her pregnancy. Morgan cried that she did not want to go through with the procedure, but Stephanie insisted it would be best for everyone. (This time, the fake flashback was filmed in black and white to hide the fact the actors didn't look any younger than they are today. In another attempt to fool us, Susan Flannery (Stephanie) was dressed in a huge blond wig and shot only from behind. Gee, that really fooled me. Puh-leeze. Skip the idiotic flashbacks. It didn't happen on the show. Let's not pretend it did. Just let characters talk about it.) Back in 2000, Morgan walked over to the sleeping Ridge and whispered she had left him because she had been ashamed of what she had done. She wondered how different life would have been if she hadn't listened to Stephanie.

Episode Date: Thursday, March 23, 2000

At their beach bungalow, Macy and Thorne kissed as Thorne prepared to leave for work. (I couldn't believe the length of Macy's hair! First, Taylor showed up at the Forrester mansion with hair extensions and now sweet, stupid Macy has followed suit. Her locks were so long and luxurious! This must be the new trend in Los Angeles. - I guess those fashion people are always on top of the latest "in" thing. At least her hair is back to a normal color and not that fire engine red she was sporting for a couple of weeks.) As Thorne departed, Kimberly arrived. Alone with her half-sister, Kimberly explained how Rick was expecting to have sex and Kimberly wasn't sure she was ready. Kimberly said she had spoken with friends at school and felt she was out of touch with the reality of life today. Kimberly was confident Rick would respect her wishes and not put any pressure on her. Macy told her to be true to herself and she would know when the time was right. Kimberly (looking particularly buxom today - was that some kind of industrial strength push up bra like Julia Roberts wears in Erin Brokovich?) thanked her sis for the advice and left to meet Rick.

At Insomnia, CJ joined Rick for a cup of coffee and asked Rick about his date with Kimberly. "How'd it go? You guys knock it out or what?" CJ asked. Rick was offended by CJ's crudeness which led CJ to correctly deduce that Kimberly had not put out for Rick. Rick explained that Kimberly wanted to wait and not have sex until they were married. CJ found it humorous, but counseled his friend to be his regular charming self and treat Kimberly like a queen. CJ was certain Kimberly would come around. CJ told Rick he was interested in dating Becky. Rick was taken aback that CJ would want to get involved with a woman who had a child. CJ admitted that he really liked Becky.

Brooke was in Thorne's office at Forrester Creations poking her nose in a variety of boxes that were being delivered. Giovanni arrived with some photo proofs for Thorne to approve. Brooke quizzed Giovanni about Morgan. She wanted too know if he knew anything about Morgan's past with Ridge. Giovanni told Brooke he knew nothing but Clarke had gotten friendly with Morgan and might have some information. Giovanni brought up the fact that Brooke had run from the Café Ruse the other day. Brooke said she had already explained (in a scene we mercifully didn't have to see) that the song that had been playing was to intense for both her and Thorne. (So the lunch time patrons at a four-star restaurant really were "dancing" to an Italian aria. That's just stupid.) Giovanni thought Brooke's view of love might be too scientific. Brooke basically told Gio to mind his own business and dissed him.

Thorne arrived to "help" Brooke. (What exactly are they doing, anyway?) Thorne caught Brooke giving him the eye. He told the CEO he could find someone else to do this job. (And what job is that, Thorne?) Brooke said it would take her as long to train someone as it would to do the job as do it herself. (Ah, so Brooke needs to learn to delegate, eh?) Thorne left to check on a missing order when yet another box was delivered. Brooke noticed the shipment had come from Venice. She examined the invoice and noticed it was addressed to Thorne's personal attention and had been ordered the same day he had proposed to her. What could it be, she wondered. (I also jotted down the shipping address of Forrester Creations - 100 S. Haragate Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90071, USA.)

At the seedy apartment, Amber donned her dowdy bus girl uniform and complained about her dull life. Becky made her realize she should be happy to have a steady job at a good restaurant. Amber teased Becky about the amount of time she was spending with CJ. Becky said perhaps her involvement with CJ would help soften Rick's view of Amber. Amber admitted she was still in love with Rick but had promised to stay away from him. She intended to keep that promise as she left for work - AT THE CAFÉ RUSE.

Rick arrived at Kimberly's dorm room (did we know she lived in the dorm?) with a Forrester gown for her. He explained he wanted her to wear it that evening. They were going to the place where it all began - AT THE CAFÉ RUSE!

Oh-oh.

Episode Date: Friday, March 24, 2000

Becky and CJ hung out at Amber's seedy apartment. CJ even got into feeding Little Eric. Becky asked CJ if he thought there was chance Rick would ever get back with Amber. CJ said Rick was no where near ready to even think about Amber. CJ said Kimberly and Rick were a couple although he admitted they had a little problem earlier in the week. Becky was concerned that the two people her son loved most (Amber and Rick) couldn't stand to be in the same room. CJ said he knew they had once been in love and it might be possible, with time, for Rick and Amber to reunite. CJ agreed to help Becky get the couple back together if she agreed to take it very slowly.

In her dorm room, Kimberly donned the Forrester original Rick had brought for her. She was a vision of loveliness. As they left for the Café Ruse, Amber arrived at the restaurant to start her table bussing duties. Amber wasn't doing too well at her new position. She had a habit of saying "You bet" instead of "Yes Ma'am" and forgetting which table was which. In the prep area, Amber eyed the dessert cart and fondly recalled a memory of an evening at the Café Ruse with Rick that never happened. In yet another faux flashback, Amber remembered Rick requesting a banana split for Amber instead of the fancy desserts on the cart. (We, of course, know it was a fake memory because it involved the new Rick and not the old Rick that would have been present at the time.) Amber was startled from her reverie by a waiter asking her to take bread and butter to table six. Amber was horrified as she approached table six and saw Rick and Kimberly sitting there! (You better get there quickly, baby. Rick hasn't eaten since lunch and wants to knosh on some of that tasty Café Ruse bread.)

In Thorne's office, Brooke was about to open the mystery box when Thorne returned. It appeared they were opening fabric shipments and deciding where each bolt of fabric was to go. Thorne opened a box of fake fur and Brooke recalled their times in Venice when she wore a coat with fur trim. Brooke opened a box of pink fabric and Thorne recalled a pink dress Brooke had worn in Venice. (Wasn't that a nifty writing technique?) They discussed Bridgette (who?) and Brooke asked if Macy would have a problem with Thorne seeing his half-sister. Thorne said it would be fine. Brooke assumed it would be if Macy did not mind him working all day with Brooke. Brooke cut her finger while opening a box. Thorne took her hand to examine the wound. They looked into each other's eyes but were interrupted by Giovanni requesting Thorne's presence in the showing room. After Thorne left, Brooke opened the box from Venice and cried when she saw a beautiful, white, lacey dress.

Upstairs, Megan stopped Giovanni from entering the showing room. She explained Brooke had requested the room be kept empty because she wanted to speak to Thorne alone. Gio said Thorne was married. Megan said he should not be married to Macy and perhaps after this conversation, he would not be.

In the showing room, Thorne was startled to see Brooke wearing the white gown. Brooke explained she could not help herself from trying it on. Thorne begged her to take it off. They touched foreheads. (Now that's hot!) Thorne told Brooke wearing the dress he had bought her for their wedding would not help either of them move on.

"I'll never have the wedding, so can I at least have the dance?" Brooke asked. Thorne took her in his arms and they danced to that damn Italian aria again. Where on earth does that insipid song keep coming from?

Episode Date: Monday, March 27, 2000

Brooke and Thorne continued their slow dance to that darn Italian opera song in the showing room. They grew closer and closer but were interrupted just as they were about to kiss by Thorne's pager beeping. (Damn technology!) Thorne fled the room immediately.

In Thorne's office, Megan told Giovanni that she hoped Thorne and Brooke would get together. Thorne stormed into the office and was rude to both Megan and Giovanni. They left. (And rightfully so, they are second string characters, you know.) Thorne returned the page from his beeper and yelled about some fabric shipment as Brooke entered his office with the wedding dress stuffed back in the box. Ending his phone call, Thorne told Brooke what had just happened could never happen again. Brooke asked if he thought it would be easy to get over each other. Thorne suggested he stop working at Forrester to keep his distance from Brooke. She told him he couldn't quit his family's business and told him she would steer clear of him as she left the office. Alone, Thorne slammed the wedding dress in the box in despair and hung his head like a sick dog. (I am from the Midwest, you know.)

In a truly painful scene that made my teeth ache, CJ looked at Becky's photos from Paris. There were many shots of a cemetery. Becky explained that she often went to the graveyard during her lunch break to read. She felt a closeness to the dead spirits because they had already lived their lives and could perhaps guide her today. (Yeah. OK. Whatever.) She then showed him a hotel where a famous French poet had lived with his black mistress and caused a scandal. (I'm sorry I don't know much a about French poetry and I didn't catch the poet's name. How many can there be, anyway?) Becky pulled out a book of poems and they read some of the verse to each other. (Gag!) Becky got all hot and bothered and started smooching on CJ. She thought the poet defying all odds to be with his beloved was so romantic. CJ blurted out that standing up to his mother to be with Becky showed true love. They were both startled by his comment. (Ick!)

At the Café Ruse, Amber panicked as she delivered bread to Rick and Kimberly's table. The love birds were none to happy to see Miss Moore, either. Kimberly jumped up and wanted to leave. She was sure Amber had paid someone to hire her just to bug the Forresters when they dined at the fine restaurant. Rick convinced Kimberly to stay. He didn't want to give Amber the satisfaction of ruining their date. Amber tried to unload the table on another server, but it didn't work. Kimberly decided to flaunt her relationship with Rick the same way Amber had when she was married to him. Amber returned to the table with water and tried to explain to Rick that she had meant her promise to stay away from Rick. Kimberly didn't believe her and kept asking for more water and butter. Kimberly was mean to Amber and Rick said he'd rather not have Amber hanging around their table so much.

Kimberly didn't pay any attention. As Amber served them, Kimberly was extremely lovey-dovey and made sure to talk about going to the cabin in Big Bear and spending the night. Kimberly went so far as to intentionally knock the bread basket from their table. As Amber picked up the mess, she witnessed Kimberly playing footsie with Rick! Amber imagined beaning Kimberly square on the forehead with a dinner roll, but it was just a fantasy. Amber ran to the prep room and despaired about her rotten luck.

Dat Kimberly. She so mean! I think Rick should dump her sorry, model butt!

Episode Date: Tuesday, March 28, 2000

At the Café Ruse, Amber stared at Rick and Kimberly and sadly recalled when she had been that happy with Rick. A waiter didn't help matters by telling her she needn't bother gazing because Rick Forrester was out of her league.

Kimberly noticed Amber's stare and told Rick she was certain Amber had rigged the entire evening to ruin their date. Rick pointed out that only they could allow Amber ruin anything. When Amber returned to clear the table, Kimberly pointed out that anyone with any breeding could tell she hadn't finished her dinner by the position of her silverware. Amber argued with the head waiter that she could not longer service Rick and Kimberly's table but he insisted. Upon Amber's return, Kimberly raised a fuss and told the waiter Amber had been stalking them. As Rick was paying the check, he overheard Mr. Buchanan firing Amber for her behavior. As she pleaded with him to give her another chance, Rick intervened and told the manager there had been a misunderstanding and he did not want to see Amber loose her job. Mr. Buchanan agreed to Rick's request. Amber was befuddled.

Morgan and Rick arrived at their Paris hotel and found the only space available was a suite with two bedrooms sharing a common sitting area. (My, isn't that a novel plot device?) Morgan freaked and said she had no intention of sharing a room with Ridge. He convinced her they could use the common room as a work area and save time going to and from their rooms. Ridge was a gentleman and even let Morgan had the larger bedroom.

At Forrester Creations in Los Angeles, Taylor scoured Ridge's desk for the number of his hotel. Brooke arrived and tried to make Taylor think Ridge and Morgan would be doing more than just working in Paris. Taylor told Brooke to stop playing games. She was not concerned in the least about Morgan spending time with Ridge. Brooke mentioned that she had to force Morgan to travel to Paris at all. Brooke gave Taylor the hotel telephone number and told her not to be surprised if Morgan answered the phone.

With Brooke hanging over her shoulder, Taylor reached Ridge. He told her they would be working hard and Morgan was crabby. Taylor told her husband she was taking the children to the mountains to visit her father. She agreed to call Ridge later. After hanging up, Taylor disappointed Brooke by letting her know Ridge had answered his own telephone. When Brooke left, Taylor decided to call Ridge back for a "private" conversation. This time, though, Morgan answered the phone. Taylor was shocked to learn from Morgan that she and Ridge were actually sharing a suite. She offered to get Ridge on the telephone. She knocked on Ridge's bedroom door and looked inside. Morgan told Taylor it appeared Ridge was taking a shower. (Well of course he was.) Morgan offered to yell at him, but Taylor, somewhat shaken by the hotel room arrangement, told Morgan to have Ridge call her.

After hanging up the telephone, Morgan ventured further into Ridge's room and eventually to the bathroom door. Morgan peered through the steamy mist and spotted Ridge's naked form through the shower curtain. The girl could barely contain herself. She bit her lip and stroked her neck as she watched the Forrester stud bathe himself. She was hot - and I don't think it was the steam causing her temperature to rise. She got lost in a fantasy and was taken by surprise as Ridge turned the water off and threw open the shower curtain! He was surprised to see Morgan gawking at his manhood. Morgan seemed embarrassed but as the same time she appeared to enjoy the view.

Shameless! Gratuitous! Filth! Now that's what I call entertainment!

After putting Little Eric to bed, Becky returned to the seedy apartment couch and asked CJ about his comment referring to love. CJ said he felt very close to Becky and asked if things were moving too fast. Becky said it didn't matter how long they had known each other. It only mattered how well they knew each other. They agreed they had never felt this way before and started to kiss noisily. Becky feared it would be complicated since CJ's mother hated her. CJ insisted that Sally didn't hate Becky, she simply didn't know her. As CJ began to profess his love, Amber returned from work, obviously upset. Amber apologized for interrupting and headed to her bedroom. CJ thought it best for him to leave so Becky could help Amber.

Over at Spectra Fashions, Sally told Clarke she was concerned about CJ spending time with Becky. CJ arrived at the office. His parents quizzed him of his whereabouts. Sally suspected he had been with "that Moore girl." CJ blew up that her name was Becky. Sally said she didn't think Becky was right for CJ. She wanted to protect her son. Clarke said he didn't want the two teens to get too serious. CJ told them he really liked Becky and he wanted his parents to get to know her better. He wanted to invited Becky to dinner the following night. Sally forbade it. Sally said she knew enough about Becky to dis-trust her. CJ railed at his mother for judging Becky just as the Spectra family had been judged for so many years. (Got ya there, Big Red!)

Back at the seedy apartment, Amber related the horrible story of her evening to Becky. Amber couldn't believe that even though Rick had saved her job, he had been completely cold to her. They were interrupted by CJ calling to ask Becky to dinner with his family. Becky agreed when CJ told her Sally was looking forward to getting to know Becky. Listening to CJ speak on the phone, Sally cringed at the thought.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke entered Stephanie's office and accused La Forrester of keeping the truth about Morgan and Ridge's relationship from her. Brooke explained that Morgan had answered the phone in Ridge's Paris hotel room when Taylor called. Brooke was concerned that Ridge and Morgan would be too busy getting it on to work on the fashion collection. Even though Stephanie adamantly denied it, Brooke guessed their romance had to have been more than a fling. Brooke supposed Stephanie must hate Morgan. Stephanie pretended to know nothing of Morgan's motives for returning and insisted whatever the two had shared had long been over. Brooke left the office but was not convinced of Stephanie's story. (Stephanie sure has a lot of hair these days. Maybe she's jumped on the extension bandwagon like Taylor and Macy.)

Morgan gawked at Ridge's naked manhood in the shower. Ridge lightheartedly asked if Morgan would like to join him. He said he was only kidding and asked Morgan for a towel. She obliged and apologized for intruding and stumbled for words to explain. Ridge said it was no big deal. He'd just take a peek at her later. As Morgan's eyes exploded in her head, Ridge said he was only joking.

They arrived at Forrester International where Dottie Thornton, I mean Suzanne, showed them around and got them settled in an office. (The office had the same windows that had been in Connor's office and later were recycled for Pierce's office. I'm glad to see B&B keeps using that scenery again and again.) Ridge kept teasing Morgan about seeing him naked as a jaybird. Morgan apologized to Suzanne who said she thought they were bickering like an old married couple. Ridge then started to dig about how Morgan had left him for another man. Morgan asked him to stop bringing up the past but he kept on teasing her. Finally, Morgan exploded and told Ridge that their romance had not been a game. Leaving had been a difficult and trying time for her. She begged him to stop treating it all so lightly.

Ridge was stunned by Morgan's admission and tried to apologize for his actions.

Becky returned to the seedy apartmcr thought it would be a good idea to find out what might be the cause of her recent stomach aches. Amber asked if the doctor knew why Becky had been so tired lately. Becky said he thought it must be the baby keeping her up at night.

The cousins then discussed Amber's run in with Rick and Kimberly at the Café Ruse. Becky thought the lovebirds owed Amber an apology. Amber was grateful Rick had saved her job but was sure he had done it out of pity. Becky thought…… HEY! Wait just a cotton pickin' minute! Did they say Becky had been having stomach aches? Did they discuss she has been tired lately? Oh, that's not good. That's not good at all. I hate to break it to you, dear readers, but Becky is… how to put it delicately….DEAD MEAT! Mysterious symptoms and a sudden romance add up to one thing in Soap Opera Land - and that's DEATH! There is no chance of recovery from whatever disease this might be. Becky is a second string character all the way. She's no Dr. Taylor Hamilton Hayes Forrester that will be snatched from the jaws of death after visiting a Batman villain while hovering near the ceiling. I can picture the touching, teary good-bye death scene even as I type. That would certainly leave Little Eric free to become a Forrester again wouldn't it? Becky might as well get the phrase "Good As Dead" tattooed on her forehead right now. But I digress…..

Becky said she really liked CJ and thought this might be real love. She hoped Amber and Rick could feel that way again. Amber said Rick did feel that way. He just didn't feel that way about her.

At Insomnia, Rick and CJ talked about their girlfriends. Rick said Amber had made Kimberly uncomfortable at the Café Ruse and they couldn't enjoy their dinner. They went to her dorm room after the date but nothing happened. Kimberly wanted to take it slow and he respected her wishes. CJ said he was really digging Becky. He explained it was more than physical with Becky. CJ said Becky was the most amazing girl he'd ever met. (Too bad she'll be dead by summer.) CJ received a call from his all-but-comatose girlfriend while Rick went to scrounge up a muffin. She asked him to tell Rick to visit little Eric that evening. Amber would be babysitting and maybe they could talk. Although CJ didn't like the idea, he agreed. I mean, how can anyone refuse a dying girl's last request?

CJ went home and found Sally and Clarke none to eager to dine with Becky. CJ ranted and raved that he had never asked for much from his parents. He only wanted them to be civil to Becky and try to give her a chance. Sally reminded her son of Becky's part in deceiving the Forrester family. CJ explained Becky had done what she thought was best for her son. Sally said she was doing the same thing. Too late, Becky arrived at the door. Dead girl walking.

Rick arrived at the seedy apartment as Amber was painting her toenails in a slinky tank top that had "boy toy" emblazoned across the chest. Rick said Becky had invited him to visit Little Eric that evening. Amber explained Becky had gone to CJ's for dinner and realized she and Rick had been set up.

Over in Paris, Morgan and Ridge were working late at Forrester International. Ridge apologized for upsetting Morgan. She said they should just stop talking about the matter. When Morgan grew frustrated over a design, Ridge massaged her shoulders. Morgan recoiled to his touch at first but then really started to groove on it. She was getting all steamed up but suddenly snapped back to reality and bolted from the office saying she couldn't "do this."

Morgan went to the hotel suite and called for an immediate flight back to Los Angeles. Ridge stormed into the room as Morgan was packing and demanded to know what was going on. Morgan babbled that she couldn't handle it. She thought she could return to Forrester and face Ridge, his family and the past, but she couldn't. Morgan said she was leaving and advised Ridge to forget all about her. Ridge grabbed Morgan and asked her to explain her actions. As she struggled to get free, they both fell to the floor. Ridge straddled Morgan and said she wasn't going anywhere until she told him the truth.

Am I watching the World Wrestling Federation? Is this a tag team match? If so, I'd like to see Sally and Stephanie team up and take on Megan and Kimberly. You just know Sally could blow those lightweights out of the ring with a single puff.

Morgan struggled to free herself from Ridge's hammer lock. She screamed that she just wanted to go home. Ridge yelled that she had to explain what was going on. Morgan said she didn't know where to begin. Ridge began for her. They had been dating for a year and she suddenly left. All he wanted was an explanation. Morgan said she didn't leave him for another man. She had truly loved Ridge. Morgan said she had no choice to leave because she was pregnant. Ridge was dumbstruck. He wanted to know why she hadn't told him. What had she done? Had she given up the baby for adoption? Crying, Morgan told Ridge she had an abortion. Ridge was double dumbstruck.

As Amber prepared tea in the kitchen of the seedy apartment, Rick read a bedtime story to Little Eric. Rick believed Amber when she said she didn't know he was coming over that evening. Rick said he still thought of Little Eric as his son. Amber told Rick she was impressed that he still wanted to be a part of the baby's life even after what she had put him through. Rick eyed Amber's nubile, scantily-clad body as she served the tea. She thanked him for saving her job at the Café Ruse. They chatted about her new job, Becky's parenting skills, Becky's romance with CJ and Little Eric's growth spurt. As Rick was leaving, he gawked at Amber's physique again and asked her if she often walked around the house in her underwear. She replied that he had seen her in less than what she was currently wearing. Rick shrugged and said she could do as she pleased. She promised to wear pants the next time he visited. Rick left and stood in the hall, pondering what had just transpired. Amber sighed with remorse inside the apartment.

Over at Sally's apartment, Becky could tell La Spectra wasn't too eager to have dinner with her. Becky assured CJ everything would be fine and began complimenting Sally and Clarke on the lovely apartment. Sally wasn't in the mood for idle chit-chat and got to the point. Sally told Becky that CJ was a busy college freshman and didn't have time for a serious girlfriend (who had a baby) if he intended to graduate. CJ told his mother she was being rude, but Becky interrupted him and said Sally, Clarke and she all wanted the same thing. They wanted CJ to be a big success. Becky said she agreed with Sally that nothing, not even she, could be more important than his school work. Sally was startled that Becky would agree with her. Darla arrived and thought Becky and CJ made a cute couple. Sally was still cold as they started to dinner. Becky announced that she really liked CJ, but she understood Sally's feelings. Becky did not want to cause any strain on CJ's family life. If Sally wanted her to leave, she would. Sally softened and told Becky she admired the way she had stood up to her. Sally was impressed with Becky's guts and brains. She very much wanted Becky to stay for dinner and apologized for her rude behavior.

Alone, Becky asked CJ if things were going well. CJ said his family would love her almost as much as he did. Becky giggled at the mention of love.

Back at the seedy apartment, Amber answered a phone call for "Miss Moore." It was Dr. Fetter, the physician Becky had seen earlier in the day. He mistakenly assumed Amber was Becky. He told Amber some of the tests they had run concerned him and he had shown the results to Dr. Russell, an oncologist (a cancer specialist). Dr. Russell wanted Becky to come in that night (oh yeah, the 24 hour HIV testing, sonogram and cancer clinic - now I remember) for some further tests. Amber asked if they thought she (Becky) had a serious cancer. Dr. Fetter said yes, it could be fatal. Amber said she (Becky) would come in that night. Amber cried and prayed "Not Becky."

Didn't I tell you? Didn't I tell you? Mr. Smartypants is never wrong. And when he is he doesn't want to talk about it.
