Episode Date: Thursday, June 1, 2000

At Ridge and Taylor's mansion, Morgan pleaded with the couple to reconsider allowing Ridge to father her child. Morgan walked out on the balcony to give Ridge and Taylor time alone. Taylor told Ridge she understood Morgan's pain. Taylor and Ridge had been blessed with so much and Morgan had nothing. They had the power to help her out. Ridge was sympathetic, but said the entire family would be involved if the deal ever went bad. Taylor agreed and said they would have to find another way to help Morgan.

Morgan returned and could tell Ridge and Taylor were going to turn her down. Morgan said there was nothing left to talk about, she had asked them for a favor and their reasoning really didn't matter to her. Their conversation was interrupted by a telephone call from Taylor's father, Jack. He was in the hospital. He had suffered another heart attack. (He had his first heart attack several years ago while visiting Taylor's grave. You see, we all thought Taylor had perished in a plane crash on the way to a shrink convention in Egypt, but Taylor had actually been assaulted in an airport bathroom in Morocco and left for dead before the plane crashed. She was nursed back to health by a prince who convinced her Ridge had moved on with his life. She stayed in Morocco and became Princess Something-or-other but returned home when she heard her father had taken ill. Ya got that?) Taylor was upset to hear the bad news about her father's heart and wanted to be with him. Morgan expressed her condolences and looked on as Ridge comforted his wife and help her prepare for her trip. (I'm certain that no good can come of this.)

At Thorne and Macy's beach bungalow, Sally told Thorne that Brooke was a threat to his marriage. When Thorne expressed that Brooke was not the problem, Sally reminded him of all the trouble she had caused for the Forrester family. Sally said she would deal with it in her own way. She instructed Thorne to take care of his wife.

Thorne joined Macy and her counselor, John, on the deck. (They were sitting at the patio table with some odd glass contraption in the middle. It was so distracting I could barely pay attention to the boring conversation.) Macy admitted she had been tempted to drink and couldn't fight it because she and Thorne were having trouble. She explained Brooke was in love with him. Thorne again said that Brooke wasn't the problem. Macy had to learn to deal with her addiction on her own. Macy said their relationship meant everything to her. She would not neglect her marriage to deal with her drinking. She had to ask for help when she needed it. Thorne insisted Macy could not depend on him for her sobriety. Macy got angry and yelled "Why do you keep saying that? You're my husband. If I can't depend on you, who can I depend on?" (That's a fine point, girlie.) John told the couple to cool off and digest what the other had said.

In her office at Forrester Creations, Brooke told Rick she was concerned her relationship with Thorne might cause problems for him and Kimberly. Rick was certain they could handle the strain. They were interrupted by a security guard trying to restrain Sally as she burst through Brooke's door. Brooke told the guard she could deal with Sally. La Spectra apologized to Rick for her rude behavior and asked him to give his mother and her some time alone. After Rick left, Sally told Brooke to stay away from Thorne. She insisted Thorne would never leave Macy. Sally told Brooke it was her fault that Macy had taken a drink. In what may be the best line uttered so far this millennium, Sally went off.

"I suggest you drop the whole home-wrecking routine right now. Just back off or this cat is going to have her claws in your face ready to scratch your eyes out until the cows come home. OK? Do you hear me?" (Cats and cows in one metaphor. Brilliant! Simply brilliant!) Sally told Brooke she understood what Stephanie had been going through for so many years. Sally said it would take more than sex appeal to attract a man like Thorne.

In the middle of Sally's punishing tirade, Thorne called Brooke and warned her that Sally might pay her a visit. (Too late, baby.) Thorne understood that Sally was in the office at that very minute. He told Brooke that he loved her and they would be together soon. After hanging up, Brooke offered to buzz the guard. "No thanks, I can throw myself out" was Sally's reply. As she left, Sally told Brooke she would destroy her if she went after Thorne.

Alone in her office, Brooke smiled and told herself she and Thorne would be together very soon.

Yet another new day has arrived in sunny Los Angeles. At this rate, Morgan will have ovulated 17 times by the end of the summer.

Speaking of whom, the lovely Miss DeWitt walked into Ridge's office and found him busily tapping away on his laptop computer. Although it was no more provocative than what she usually wears, Ridge commented on Morgan's scanty outfit. Morgan said she was embarrassed for asking Ridge to father her child and apologized for her behavior. Morgan explained she had called to talk to Taylor but she (Taylor) had already left to visit her ailing father. Ridge said he and Taylor both understood Morgan's situation and did not want her to feel bad about what had happened. As Ridge hugged her, Morgan said she might have to accept the fact that her dream of having a baby might not happen. They were interrupted by Ridge's computer beeping. He said he was expecting an important e-mail from Europe. He was dumbfounded when he read the e-mail. It was from Taylor. Ridge read bits and pieces of it out loud. He said Taylor wrote they had an opportunity to bring someone happiness and Ridge should do what Taylor was asking with out questioning her. Ridge was blown away as he silently read more of the message. He said he could not do what she was requesting. (I hope she told him to get a haircut.) Morgan had started to leave the office but was intrigued by Ridge's reaction.

Tawny (Thank God she has returned. I love her!) showed up at the seedy apartment and demanded to speak to Becky. Amber said Becky was out. Tawny had spoken with Joe and Tillie and had come to Los Angeles to tell Becky the truth about her disease. Amber screamed that she had meant it when she had told her mother she never wanted to see her again and she was not going to let Tawny screw up Becky's wedding. Tawny said she was going to stop the wedding completely because it was all a lie. Becky needed comfort and sympathy. Tawny felt that Becky would resent Amber for keeping the truth from her once she learned she was dying. Amber told her mother how Becky now had it all. She had the love of a wonderful man, she had her son, she had the respect of the Forrester family. All Amber wanted now was to give her cousin one perfect day to make it all complete. Tawny was moved by her daughter's concern for Becky. Tawny and Amber hugged and Tawny offered to help with last the last minute wedding preparations.

CJ met Eric at the wedding chapel. Eric had requested to meet CJ and Becky. He had a surprise for them. Becky showed up looking like death warmed over. (Well, I suppose that is appropriate.) She could barely walk because she was so weak. Eric opened the doors of the chapel and showed them he had paid to have the sanctuary decorated. CJ and Becky were impressed with how beautiful it was. Becky commented that it looked like a movie star would get married in such a place. (Well, honey, maybe a second rate, made-for-television, B-movie actress like Valarie Bertinelli or Melissa Gilbert. It really wasn't much more than some netting, white bows and candles stuck on the pews. I could have done just as good a job with a roll of crepe paper and some scotch tape.)

The priest arrived and spoke briefly with the young couple. He later expressed concern to Eric that Becky didn't look well. Eric said he would explain the entire story later, but emphasized nothing was going to ruin the wedding.

As Becky and CJ admired the cheesy decorations, Becky was overcome with pain and nearly collapsed. As CJ comforted her, Becky said she was now having trouble breathing and feared something was wrong with her. She was, however, determined to get married the following day. Becky hobbled out of the chapel to splash some cold water on her neck. Alone in the chapel, CJ prayed for a miracle to make Becky well.

Do miracles make phone calls? At that very moment, the phone rang in Becky and Amber's seedy apartment. No one was there to answer the call, but the answering machine picked it up. It was Dr. Russell. He was calling to speak to Becky. He said he had "extremely important" news too tell her. (Perhaps she really does just have the flu?)

(For the second time in a week, I cried at Mick Cain's (CJ) performance. He is a fantastic actor. His performance was well measured and never over done. He even got that perfect tear to roll down his cheek. I know Brooke, Macy and Taylor can cry a river on cue, but how often do you see a male actor do it? Mr. Cain is wonderful. Why has it taken so long to get this guy a storyline?)

Episode Date: Monday, June 5, 2000

I can't believe it. I have watched sop opera for nearly 25 years and never have I witnessed such an event as what just happened on The Bold and the Beautiful. Friday was the beginning of a new day. Today, Monday is another new day. That means that one soap opera day equaled one day in real life! I cannot remember such a thing ever happening before. Many years ago when The Edge of Night was still on (gosh, how I adored that show) I kept track that one soap opera day took 34 actual episodes to complete. My favorite trick, however, occurred on All My Children back in the late 70's or early 80's. I don't know what they were thinking, but Christmas Eve turned into New Year's Eve one year. It was amazing! So, enough commentary. On with the update.

Morgan stomped into Ridge offices and told him she had to know what Taylor's e-mail had said. She hadn't slept thinking about it. Ridge eagerly read the missive to her. (I'll paraphrase, but put it in quotes.)

"My Dad told me that a life without children is half a life. We have the opportunity to give someone the gift of joy. We have the power to right a wrong. I want you to get Morgan pregnant, not in a clinical way, but through sexual intercourse. I know you will do it with respect to your wife. I can't be reached. Do it before I get home. Trust me and don't ask any questions." (Uh, I'm not buying this. How much you wanna bet Morgan is behind this mysterious e-mail? Sounds pretty fishy to me.)

Morgan was ecstatic to hear the letter, but Ridge was convinced Taylor wasn't thinking straight. Ridge called home to see if Taylor had left a message there, but she had not. Ridge definitely wanted to talk to Taylor before proceeding with "sexual intercourse" with Morgan. Morgan said she was ovulating even as they spoke and there was no time to waste. Morgan commented that Taylor was truly enlightened and trusted Ridge completely. Ridge still couldn't believe Taylor would come up with such a scheme and wondered if Morgan could handle being intimate with him. Morgan assured him she would view it as a biological process. (Yeah, I'll bet, you tramp!) As Ridge wavered, Morgan begged Ridge to agree and told him he owed her this favor.

At the seedy apartment, Amber watched Becky as she slept on the couch. CJ called to see how Becky was doing. The agreed Becky would learn the truth immediately after the wedding, but this would definitely be a great day. CJ thanked Amber for all her help. After Amber hung up the phone, she noticed the message light was blinking on the answering machine. She listened to the message from Dr. Russell and called because she thought he may have found a cure for Becky's cancer. Unfortunately, Amber (posing as Becky) learned the good doctor only had a new pain medication for her to try. (I guess miracles don't make phone calls after all.) As Becky awoke, Amber quickly hung up the phone.

Becky was happy it was her wedding day. She felt like a new life was beginning for her. Becky thought it was a miracle how everyone had come together to support her marriage to CJ. Amber said she used to believe in miracles but not anymore. Becky said miracles happened all the time. She was visibly upset to see her image in the mirror. (She still looked like death warmed over.) Amber agreed to help Becky look like a princess.

At the Spectra residence, Sally pressed CJ's tux and fixed him a big breakfast as she told him how proud she was of him. Sally was upset that things were so tragic on his wedding day, but CJ made her agree to keep it together for Becky's sake. CJ then called Becky and they each expressed how excited they were to be getting married. CJ told his bride how much he loved her and that his only wish was that this would be the best day of her life. Becky was certain it would be a perfect day. She went to say that all their days together would be fantastic and she promised never to leave him. Becky's final words caused CJ to break down and cry.

(He did it again! Mick Cain's (CJ) incredible performance made me cry. He's always simple and unpretentious while making sure to show every emotion on his face. And there must be something about seeing a young man in such pain that he cries that pushes me over the edge. I'm thinking I may start a Mr. Smartypants Gifted Acting and Stupid Plot Line Award. I'll give the first acting award to Mr. Cain.)

At the seedy apartment, Becky was in such pain she refused to drink the medicated smoothie Amber had prepared. Thinking quickly, Amber said she had some pills for stomach cramps and had Becky take the pain medication with a glass of water. Becky then asked Amber to be her maid of honor. (Hadn't she thought of this detail before?) Amber happily accepted. Becky said her wedding wish was that Rick and Amber would eventually get back together. Amber said such a thing would never happen. Amber hoped Becky knew how much she loved her cousin. Becky understood and said Amber would always be a part of her heart and her soul. Amber got their dresses and left the apartment to bring the car around to the front of the building. Becky picked up Little Eric. As Becky was leaving the apartment, the telephone rang. She turned and looked at it.

Over at Sally's apartment, Rick just learned that CJ was getting married. (Haven't they talked at all in the past month?) Rick tried to talk CJ out of such an impulsive act until (during a commercial break so we didn't have to hear the story yet again) CJ explained that Becky was dying of cancer. Rick was stunned and agreed to be CJ's best man. (Hadn't he thought of that detail before? I guess that's the way it's done in Los Angeles.) Rick told CJ he would be there to help him make it a special day for Becky.

In Sally's office at Spectra Fashions, Thorne and Macy learned the truth of Becky's condition from Sally, Clarke and Darla. (Again, it all happened off screen to spare us the tedium of hearing it all once again. Thank you, Mr. Bell.) Macy didn't think she would be able to attend the wedding knowing the tragic truth. Sally convinced her to pull through for CJ's sake. (Thorne and Macy were all dressed up, as if they knew they were going to a wedding. If they knew where they were going, didn't they wonder why CJ was getting married so suddenly?)

Over at the Forrester mansion, Stephanie and Eric welcomed Tillie, Joe and Tawny for a pre-wedding get-together. (Tawny was wearing a truly heinous, baby-blue, off one shoulder prom dress.) Tillie explained they didn't bring Bill to the wedding so he wouldn't have to see his older sister so sick. (Oh, that's right. The first time we met Amber's cousins in Furnace Creek, there was a son, too. Good job of continuity, guys.) Stephanie expressed her sympathies to Joe and Tillie. They all agreed what a fabulous young woman Becky was. Tillie cried and wondered why Becky had been stricken with cancer. Stephanie pondered that every child has a destiny and Becky had fulfilled her destiny beautifully. She also mentioned that Joe and Tillie were lucky to have a little more time to spend with Becky before she died.

All the guests milled about the gorgeously (?) decorated chapel. Rick and CJ arrived and CJ addressed the crowd. (Hardly a crowd. It's just Stephanie, Eric, Little Eric, Sally, Clarke, Macy, Thorne, Darla, Tillie, Joe and Tawny. Heck, there were more people ahead of me at Starbuck's this morning waiting to get an iced mochachino.) CJ thanked everyone for helping to make the wedding possible. He warned them that Becky was weak and didn't look so hot. CJ wanted to make sure they were prepared to make the day special for Becky. He insisted they not mourn Becky today, but rather celebrate her life. He announced he would tell Becky the truth tomorrow. Everyone hugged CJ to show their support.

Amber arrived in the bride's room of the church (which is larger than the actual chapel.) Stephanie showed up and Amber told her Becky was getting nervous because she had not said a word on the ride to the church. Becky arrived (Hey! Did she answer that phone call earlier or not?) and said she wasn't nervous at all. She was happy that everyone was there for her wedding. It meant so much to her. Stephanie offered to stay and help Becky get dressed. Amber thought it was a good idea, but Becky said she wanted some time alone with Amber. After Stephanie left, Amber prattled on and on about Becky's make-up but was startled to see Becky staring at her in the mirror. Amber asked what was up.

"In know the truth" Becky monotoned. "I know that I'm dying." Amber was shocked. (I guess Becky did answer that phone call after all.)

Episode Date:Wednesday, June 7, 2000

Ridge visited Brooke in her office. When he inquired where his father and brother were, Brooke explained that CJ was going to marry Becky and they were attending the wedding. Ridge was surprised to learn from Brooke that Sally and Clarke had apparently given their blessing and Stephanie was in attendance as well. The subject changed to Morgan. Brooke said the female designer's concentration had been nonexistent that morning. Ridge said Morgan had a lot on her mind. When Brooke asked if she needed to be told about the problem, Ridge assured her she didn't want to know a thing about it. (Hell, even I don't really want to hear anymore about it.)

Ridge entered Morgan's office. He told Miss DeWitt he would not proceed with impregnating her until he had talked with Taylor. Morgan said that she had spoken with Taylor earlier in the day. Taylor had repeated exactly what she had written in the e-mail. (Yeah, right, whatever.) Ridge couldn't believe that Taylor would call Morgan without talking to him. He decided to check his voice mail again. He announced there was indeed a message from Taylor. As he listened, Morgan became quite excited and wanted to know what Taylor was saying. (Yeah, sure, just keep us hanging.)

Now, on to the good stuff. At the church, Rick and CJ prepared for the big day. Rick told CJ how proud he was of his good friend. Sally and Clarke entered as CJ said he loved Becky so much he would have married her no matter what the future held. Sally and Clarke expressed their deep pride in CJ.

In the chapel, Tillie told Joe and Tawny that she wanted to remember her daughter just as she was that day.

Back in the bride's room, Amber pretended she didn't know what Becky was talking about until Becky said she had spoken directly to Dr. Russell. Becky said he had called just as she was leaving the apartment and he told her everything - that she was dying of cancer. Amber begged forgiveness for not telling Becky. She tried to explain that she didn't want to ruin the happiness that Becky had been experiencing over the past few months. Becky said she was not angry at all. Amber had indeed made the last months extremely happy and had given Becky hope when there was none.

Becky asked who else knew the truth. Amber said CJ knew….and her parents….and the Forresters. (Gee, the entire cast knows except you, Becky.) Becky wanted to call off the wedding. She couldn't make CJ marry a dying woman. Amber pleaded with Becky not to stop the ceremony. Amber told how everyone had tried to convince CJ not to marry Becky, but CJ was so in love he wanted to marry her no matter what. CJ thought by getting married, their love would be eternal. Becky realized all the things everyone had done to provide her with a beautiful wedding. She felt more love than she ever could have hoped for. She decided to get married after all.

As Becky and Amber finished dressing, (what are those banana curls, Amber?) Tillie and Joe asked to spend some time alone with their daughter. Amber left the room as Becky said she believed each soul being born actually chose their parents. She said she was glad she had chosen them. Becky said she knew how much they loved her and told her parents she loved them just as much.

CJ saw Amber in the hall and asked if everything was all right with Becky. Amber explained that Joe and Tillie wanted some time alone with their daughter. It appeared that Amber was going to tell CJ that Becky knew of her cancer, but they were interrupted by Becky. (Isn't it bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony? Oh well, how much more bad luck can this chick have?) CJ told Becky she looked beautiful. Becky told CJ she had never loved him more than she did at that moment.

The wedding began. Rick seated Tillie. CJ seated Sally. Amber walked down the aisle. Joe escorted his daughter to the altar. As she passed each seated guest, Becky remembered a kind word that person had said to her. Just before she reached the front of the church, she silently thanked them all for giving her the greatest gift of all - a wedding day. (But a new blender to replace the one burned out from making all those smoothies would be nice, too.)

Episode Date: Thursday, June 8, 2000

In Morgan's office, Ridge put Taylor's voice mail message on the speaker phone. Taylor's voice said she had spoken with Morgan and understood Ridge had reservations. Taylor said it was the best way to help Morgan and not to worry about her (Taylor). (Now it must be noted that at no time during the message did Taylor mention anything about Ridge schtupping Morgan to knock her up. There is definitely something rotten in the state of California.) Ridge thought this was a big deal. He protested that it wasn't like they were loaning her a car. (Now that was funny!) Ridge tried to call Taylor. He insisted he had to talk to his wife before he proceeded with getting it on with Morgan. He knew the time was ripe, but they could wait another month. Morgan taunted Ridge and said he obviously didn't want to help her. Ridge admitted he did not know if he could actually do the deed. He wondered how he would explain it to his other children. Morgan pointed out that Taylor was a psychiatrist - surely she could think of something. (Now that was even funnier!) Morgan asked if Ridge was afraid having sex with her would re-kindle his old feelings for her. Ridge said that was not the issue. Morgan insisted Taylor, Ridge and she were all adults and could handle the situation. Morgan left for home and invited Ridge to stop by and "talk" later. Ridge did not commit.

Later, at her beach house, Morgan lit a fire, poured wine and turned on some music to set the mood for some sweet lovin'. She was confident Ridge would be there soon. There was a knock on the door. Ridge had indeed arrived.

At the church, Becky and CJ's wedding continued. The minister said there was obviously no need to tell the assembled guests to nurture the young couple. He could tell how much love there was in the room. Stephanie lead everyone in a prayer asking for guidance for everyone, especially Little Eric. Becky had a pain during the prayer but recovered. In a voice cracking with tears (at least I hope that was why it was cracking), Amber sang "The Music of My Heart" as CJ and Becky lit their unity candle. As the song continued, Becky and CJ remembered the good times they had shared with the help of flashbacks. (However, it appeared there were only three good times they could recall. 1. Their first date. 2. Reading poetry on the couch in the seedy apartment. 3. Their trip to Santa Barbara. Not really much of a romance, do ya think?)

The ceremony continued with CJ's earnest vow. "Becky, I cannot tell you how blessed and how grateful I feel to be standing here with you today. I feel that way because a year ago I didn't know what real love was. But I do now. I learned from you - from you and everyone else in this room - our parents for supporting us, the Forresters for everything they have done and Amber. Amber, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. Becky, take a good look around this room. These are the people who love your with all of their heart. Remember this moment because you did this. You brought all of these people together - the Forresters and my family, Amber and her mother - and the only thing that matters to any of them right now is being here for you, for us. Becky, you have worked miracles in our lives. Yes you have. Becky what you have taught me I will never forget and I will remember as long as I live. (CJ pulled a piece of paper from his pocket.) 'Love bears all things, believes all things, hope all things, endures all things. Love never ends.' Becky, what we have, it will never end. So when I say my vows to you today, I am not going to say 'until death do us part' because it won't. Nothing, I mean nothing will ever part us from this moment on. From this moment on we will be forever."

Becky responded. "CJ, I will be with you always - always. But….I'm sorry. I can't….I can't do this. I can't marry you. I'm sorry everybody. I'm sorry."

Gasp!

Episode Date: Friday, June 9, 2000

As Ridge entered Morgan's house, he told her not to read too much into his visit. He said he had been thinking about fathering a child with her and knew that he would want some sort of relationship with the kid. Morgan agreed and said he would have no financial obligations as she made more than enough money to support her child. Morgan poured him a glass of wine when he expressed that he was nervous. Ridge asked her to be serious when she asked him if he would faint if she touched him. Morgan asked what was holding him back. His wife had consented to allow him to impregnate her (Morgan). Morgan decided there should be some rules if they were going to proceed. "This I procreation, not recreation" she giggled. She decided there would be no kissing and the lights would remain on. She wanted it to be completely functional. (Ooh, I bet that got Ridge all hot and bothered.) Ridge suggested the they just sit and relax. As they rested on the couch, Morgan touched Ridge's leg. As she unbuttoned his shirt, Ridge gave her one of those "Ridge" looks. (You know the one, where he purses his lips, sucks in his cheeks and kind of rolls his eyes into the back of his head. It usually means he's upset or distressed but I also think it can mean he forgot his next line.) As Morgan caressed his face, Ridge asked if she was sure she wanted to go through with the plan of action. "Yes" was her breathy reply. (And Taylor agreed to this. Yeah, right.)

Over at the church, Amber grabbed Becky and pulled her aside after she said she couldn't marry CJ. Amber told her cousin she had to go through with the wedding. Becky said she couldn't put CJ through the pain of losing her after they got married. She didn't want everyone to continue pretending.

Becky broke away and stood in front of the assembled guests. She thanked everyone for coming, for their love and for making such a special day for her. She said she had spoken with Dr. Russell that morning. He wanted to know why she had missed so many appointments. When she said she didn't even know who he was, he explained her grim prognosis - that she was dying of cancer. Tillie screamed and rushed to hug her daughter. Joe said he was sorry they hadn't let her know sooner that they knew the truth. Becky thanked Stephanie for her beautiful prayer. Stephanie assured Becky that Little Eric would always be looked after. Becky turned to Amber and told her everything would be better this way.

Becky told CJ that because of him she now knew how much she meant to her family and friends. She said he was really the miracle worker. They embraced. CJ cried that he was sorry she found out the truth that way. He wanted to be the one to tell her about her condition. When Becky said it must have been difficult to keep such a secret, CJ said it was hard, but she was worth it. Becky said that many people live to be one hundred years old without feeling the way she felt that very day, but she couldn't marry CJ because she wouldn't be around long. CJ said she would always be in his heart and begged her to marry him. Becky relented and agreed.

They invited the guests to join them at the front of the church. Tawny, Joe, Tillie, Eric, Stephanie, Macy, Thorne, Sally, Clarke and Darla all joined hands around the altar. (They looked just like the Whos in Whoville at the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.) CJ and Becky said their vows and exchanged rings. They shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Applause erupted and everyone shared hearty congratulations. However, Becky stumbled over to the side of the church, grabbing her stomach. Stephanie noticed the bride and rushed to help her. Amber screamed and CJ rushed to Becky's side as she fell to the floor. CJ cradled an unconscious Becky in his arms and begged her not to leave him.

Pandemonium ensued.

Trivia note: Thorne called for an ambulance on his cell phone and gave the address as the Hillview Chapel on Waverly. (Remember that. There will be a test.)

Episode Date: Monday, June 12, 2000

Oh yeah! This was the kind of day I live for. Lots happened and there were lot of shocking scenes you don't get to see every day. (I will rate those shocks with my patented Mr. Smartypants Shock-o-Meter which registers the impact of a shock on a scale of one to five screams!)

Although it was difficult to tell at first, it was a new day in the sleepy hamlet of Los Angeles. Becky awoke from her coma (or whatever) and saw CJ and Dr. Russell standing over her bed. Becky seemed slightly disoriented so CJ reminded her she had collapsed after their wedding ceremony. Dr. Russell, who said he was happy to finally meet Becky, explained her pain had been too intense to tolerate and she passed out. He had increased her medication. (He didn't say it, but you just know she's on a morphine drip.) CJ told his wife there were people who wanted to visit her if she was up to it. Amber, Tillie, Joe, Sally and Macy entered the room. Sally thought the excitement of the ceremony had been too much for Becky, but Becky insisted she was glad they didn't wait to get married. Becky told Macy she always wanted a sister and Macy invited the newlyweds out to the beach bungalow. Sally and Macy left and let Joe and Tillie spend time with their daughter. They told Becky they would do anything to make sure she was happy. They exchanged kisses and went back to their hotel across the street. Amber took her leave as well so they young couple could have some time alone.

Alone at last, CJ took Becky's hand and told her he had big plans for them. Becky informed her husband that most guys would have run away after learning the woman they loved had cancer. CJ said those men didn't know what they were missing. CJ climbed into the hospital bed with Becky (sweet, but still a Shock-o-Meter rating of 1 scream). Becky said she knew CJ wanted to give her the world, but being held by him was all she needed. (Aw!)

In Brooke's office at Forrester Creations, three losers from the advertising department pitched a new campaign to Brooke and Thorne. Brooke spoke of the campaign's teasing and erotic quality as she kicked off her shoe and teased Thorne's crotch with her bare foot! (Shock-o-Meter rating of 3 ½ screams!) After the suits left, Brooke and Thorne giggled about how naughty they had been and kissed noisily. Thorne said it wouldn't be long until they could be together permanently. Even though Macy promised she wouldn't drink again, Thorne felt he had to be sure and get through to Macy before he could be with Brooke. Miss Logan suggested Thorne confide the truth to John, Macy's Alcoholic's Anonymous counselor, and have him help Thorne be honest with Macy. Thorne worried that Macy's recent habit of being secretive meant she was drinking. Brooke tired to convince him it wasn't his fault. He couldn't force himself to love Macy if he really loved Brooke.

Their lover's conversation was interrupted by Macy calling Thorne's cell phone. She was at the hospital and told Thorne that Becky was conscious. Macy said it broke her heart to see CJ so in love with his wife and know that she was going to die. Macy pleaded with Thorne to meet her at home because she needed him. Thorne hemmed and hawed and said he had to "meet someone" and hung up the phone. Macy looked perplexed. She scouted the hospital hallway to make sure she was alone. She slowly opened her purse! Can it be? Oh yes indeedy! Macy pulled a bottle of vodka from her smart handbag and took a couple of big swigs! (Shock-o-Meter rating of 4 screams! I was disappointed, however, that Macy no longer had that cute little flask she used when she was drinking six years ago. I'm guessing it just didn't hold enough liquor.)

Ridge stopped by Morgan's beach house and found a glowing Miss DeWitt on the deck. He was worried that she was upset about what had happened the night before. Morgan explained that she wanted to thank him for helping her out. Ridge asked "Mission accomplished?" (Omigawd! They did the big nasty! Shock-o-meter rating of 3 screams!) Morgan said Ridge made their time special when it could have been awkward and she didn't know if she was pregnant yet or not. The tramp, I mean Morgan, suggested they try again to make sure. Ridge begged off and said he had to hurry home to greet Taylor who was returning that day. Morgan assured Ridge she didn't want to do anything to jeopardize his marriage. Ridge thought there was nothing to worry about since it was Taylor's idea for him to pork Morgan. He said they would both support Morgan in her pregnancy. Morgan smiled a pained smile as Ridge left for home.

Later, Ridge arrived home to find Taylor already there with Little Stephanie and Phoebe. They kissed and she asked if Ridge had "helped" Morgan. Ridge said he had. Taylor asked where they had "done it." Ridge said "the beach house." Taylor thought that was a good idea since Morgan would be more comfortable there. Taylor regretted that she could not have been there as well. Ridge was stunned by that idea. Taylor said another woman would have made the artificial insemination process easier. (What you talkin' 'bout, Taylor?) Taylor said she hoped Morgan had selected a new donor because her first choice had been too much like Ridge and that really "creeped out" Taylor. Ridge stumbled around the room in disbelief! (OK, I know we all saw it coming, but it still receives a Shock-o-Meter rating of 5 screams!)

Episode Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2000

Thorne met with Macy's counselor, John, at the Alcoholic's Anonymous meeting room. Thorne informed John that he was leaving Macy. Thorne admitted he was involved with the other woman Macy had spoken of and they wanted to start a new life as soon as possible. John warned that there was no quick solution to Macy's drinking problem. Thorne explained that he didn't want to break the news to Macy until she was better. John said Macy would always be an alcoholic and that she would never be "better." He advised that the other woman should stay away from Macy as much as possible. Thorne lamented that he had driven Macy to drink. She had her life together until he convinced her to marry him in Amsterdam. John begged Thorne not to blame himself. Macy had the disease for years. John said he knew a way Thorne could help Macy, but it would be difficult. (What a dull scene. After yesterday's scream-fest, today is a total let down.)

Brooke and Rick had lunch at Mannequins. Brooke thanked her son for his help in getting Thorne to see the light. They agreed that Macy had done nothing wrong and it was too bad she would get hurt when Thorne left her. Rick started to leave for class when Brooke saw Macy walk up to the bar, order a vodka on the rocks and chug it down. Rick advised his mother to steer clear Macy (Technically, his half-sister-in-law. Ick!) as he left for school. Brooke thought she should let Thorne know of Macy's activities and called him on his cell phone. As it was ringing, Macy approached Brooke and grabbed the phone from her. Macy listened and heard Thorne pick up on the other end. Macy clicked the phone off.

Brooke explained that she thought Thorne could help Macy. Brooke tried to excuse herself, but Macy accused her of trying to undermine her marriage by telling Thorne that Macy was drinking again. Macy informed Brooke that she had her insecurities under control. (Obviously, dear.) In fact, Macy stated that vodka was her last drink as she polished off the remainder of the glass. Macy told Brooke to wipe the condescending look off her face because Thorne would never leave her. Brooke questioned if Macy really believed that or only thought that while she was drinking. Macy informed Brooke that she and Thorne had a commitment that nothing could tear apart. (And how about another round, bartender? Miss Logan is leaving but my good friend Mr. Smartypants won't let me drink alone.)

Morgan and Clarke shared a latte at Insomnia. Clarke guessed that Taylor had nixed Ridge providing sperm for Morgan's pregnancy quest. Clarke again volunteered his own services, but Morgan said she didn't need them. Morgan hinted that her search for sperm had ended, but gave no details. She had to return to work.

At Ridge and Taylor's house, Taylor expressed her amazement to Ridge that they had even considered providing Ridge's sperm to impregnate Morgan. Ridge wondered to himself what was going on. He wondered if the entire situation had been a set up. (That Ridge, you have to get up pretty early in the morning to put one over on him, eh?) Taylor prophetically said "Maybe Morgan finally got what she's been after all these years." (Yeah, maybe she has.) Taylor apologized for perhaps putting Ridge in a difficult position. (We didn't watch the actual act, so we don't know what position they were in, Taylor.) "Not half as sorry as I am" Ridge replied. Ridge asked Taylor about the e-mail she had sent while visiting his father. Taylor responded she had not sent and e-mail. She had not even taken her lap top computer with her. She had loaned that computer to Morgan several weeks ago. (Doh!) Ridge said he couldn't stay to help feed the twins because he had to meet with someone. Taylor wondered why he left in such a hurry.

Ridge found Morgan in her office at Forrester Creations. Morgan tried to make small talk, but Ridge would have none of it. He explained he had talked with Taylor. He realized the entire situation had been strange. He thought it was odd that Taylor had first not wanted him to donate sperm to impregnate Morgan, then sent an e-mail telling him to stick it to her personally. Ridge screamed and accused Morgan of setting him up. Morgan requested that Ridge calm down so she could explain. Ridge yelled at Morgan and said she had been behind the whole scheme. He couldn't believe what she had done to his marriage to Taylor.

(And I have a feeling this is just the beginning.)

Episode Date:Wednesday, June 14, 2000

Taylor visited Stephanie's at the Forrester mansion to report on her father's condition but the conversation quickly turned to Morgan. Taylor confessed that Morgan had asked Ridge to be the sperm donor for her baby. Stephanie blew a gasket and did the "I Told You So" song and dance. La Forrester was sure Morgan had returned to steal Ridge away from Taylor. Taylor said she hadn't wanted to confide in Stephanie because she knew how upset it would make her mother-in-law. Besides, she explained, Ridge had declined and Taylor was certain Morgan did not want a relationship with him. Stephanie said Morgan was clever and had probably plotted a scheme to trap Ridge from her arrival in Los Angeles. Taylor assured the matriarch that there was no way Morgan would have Ridge's child.

But over at Forrester Creations, in Morgan's office, Ridge asked why Morgan would have tricked him into having sex with her. Did she hate him that much? Morgan said she loved Ridge. Morgan apologized after Ridge said she had lied to him to get him to cheat on his wife. (In a B&B first, the word "heinous" was uttered. Ridge said Morgan had tricked him into doing something "heinous." I just love that word. It's so descriptive.) Ridge screamed that it had taken years for he and Taylor to achieve the ideal life they now shared and Morgan could have ruined it all. Morgan said didn't mean to hurt anyone. She admitted she had acted selfishly, but she had a right to bear Ridge's child. She pointed out that Ridge could have said no to delivering his sperm in such a personal manner. Ridge yelled that he had said no and Morgan had continued with all her lies. Morgan said she had seen an opportunity and taken it. She felt better after making love to him than she had in years. All her guilt was gone. Ridge countered by asking what would happen to his life when Taylor found out what they had done. Morgan suggested that Taylor never had to know what had happened between them. (Hmmm. You don't think Morgan is suggesting they lie to Taylor, do you? Yeah. That always works out so well in Soap Opera Land.)

John, the Alcoholic's Anonymous counselor, told Thorne that he had to tell Macy the truth - that he should never have proposed to her in the first place and he was leaving her for Brooke. Thorne thought that would be a horrible thing to do. John argued that in order to get sober, Macy had to face reality. Being honest was the right thing to do and Thorne needed to set the record straight as soon as possible. John said Macy would have to rely on her own inner strength to cope with her loss and her alcoholism. Thorne agreed he would tell her immediately.

At Mannequins, Macy continued to drink and told Brooke she wasn't worried about Brooke breaking up her marriage because Thorne would never be happy with her. Brooke said Thorne would not be happy until Macy pulled her act together. Brooke suggested Macy cool it with the straight vodka. Macy said Brooke didn't care about anyone but herself. She continued that Brooke wasn't capable of love. It had been her own fault that Thorne had left her in Venice because Brooke really just jumped from bed to bed. Brooke stopped Macy's tirade and suggested they call a taxi. Macy pulled away from Brooke and said she didn't need anyone's help.

Thorne arrived home looking for Macy. He received a phone call from Brooke telling him Macy had been drinking at Mannequin's bar. Thorne told his beloved he was taking John's advice and planned to tell Macy the truth as soon as he saw her. Thorne hung up the phone when he heard Macy at the door.

Macy stumbled into the living room and told Thorne she had seen Brooke at the restaurant. Macy was proud to tell her husband that she had stood up to Brooke and told the home wrecker she wasn't afraid of her anymore. Macy said she knew Thorne had been worried about her. She suggested they get away to the cabin in Big Bear and spend a week trying to start a family. Thorne said he had something important to tell her. Macy tried to change the subject and suggested they go to bed. Thorne pulled away and told Macy he had something very important to tell her. It was going to be the hardest thing he'd ever have to tell her.

But not so important that it can't wait until tomorrow.

Episode Date: Thursday, June 15, 2000

At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie feared that Taylor was not taking Morgan seriously as a threat to her marriage. Taylor pointed out that she had told Morgan that Ridge could not father her child and that was the end of the subject. Stephanie laughed at the notion a simple "no" would stop Morgan from pursuing Ridge because she was obsessed. Taylor insisted that Morgan was simply depressed about the abortion she had so many years ago and wanted to get over her guilt by having a child. Taylor said she was a doctor and knew about such conditions. (I fear she's obviously not a very good doctor, however.) Stephanie was frustrated that Taylor didn't see how devious Morgan truly was.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge said he felt guilty about having had sex with Morgan and planned to tell Taylor the truth. He kicked himself (not literally, of course) for falling into Morgan's trap. "God, how stupid could I get?" asked Ridge. (We ask ourselves that same questions everyday, Ridge.) Morgan said she respected Ridge and his marriage. She was certain they could handle the situation. Ridge said there was only one solution, Morgan had to pack her bags and leave Los Angeles. He said he no longer trusted her and her friendship with Taylor was definitely over. Morgan said she didn't want to leave LA. She said she didn't seduce Ridge. He had participated willingly in a clinical experience. Morgan felt if Taylor could not handle that fact, then she wasn't as good a wife as Morgan had thought she was. Morgan regretted any problems she might have caused, but it would be worth it if she had gotten pregnant. Ridge insisted he wouldn't keep the truth from Taylor. Morgan said there was nothing to worry about if she wasn't pregnant. Ridge said what had happened still happened and Taylor had to know.

And who do you think showed up at Morgan's office but Taylor. She had come to get her lap top computer from Morgan. Taylor asked if the insemination procedure had gone well. Morgan said everything went well, but Ridge had been nervous. Taylor apologized for making Ridge uncomfortable and hugged Morgan to wish her luck in getting pregnant. After Taylor left, Ridge told Morgan he wanted to be there when Morgan took her pregnancy test. He told her to pray she was not knocked up.

Over in Brooke's office, Miss Logan told Rick that Thorne was going to leave Macy that very afternoon. Thorne talked to Macy's counselor and decided Macy needed to learn the truth in order to get sober again. Rick worried how Macy would react to the news her husband was leaving her for Brooke.

While over at the beach bungalow, Macy figured out that Brooke had told Thorne she had been drinking again. Macy thought she had let Thorne down and that's what he wanted to discuss. Thorne again told Macy that she couldn't stop drinking for him. She had to do it for herself. Thorne wanted to do what he could to help Macy get back on her feet. Macy said they were just going through a rough patch and things would get better. Thorne replied that things would not get better for them. He noted that Macy didn't need him or alcohol to be strong. She had shown him her strength by following him to Venice and caring enough to tell him the truth. He now intended to do the same for her. (Oh, I see, Thorne, you're doing her a favor by dumping her.)

"The truth is….our marriage…..was a terrible….a terrible mistake" stuttered Thorne. Macy didn't want to listen but Thorne continued that their marriage should not have happened at all. Thorne said he was hurt and confused in Venice when Macy showed up and said all the right things. He had taken advantage of her goodness. Macy thought they could work it out. Thorne said things would not get better.

Thorne dropped a bomb and said "I want a divorce." Macy's eyes got as big as saucers - saucers full of vodka spilled from an extra dry martini.

Episode Date: Friday, June 16, 2000

Sally, Kimberly and Clarke sat in Sally's office at Spectra Fashions and discussed how serious of a threat Brooke was to Macy's marriage. Sally commented that Brooke had the moral integrity of an "alley cat." She surmised that Brooke might indeed seduce Thorne to obtain "another notch in her Prada handbag." (That Sally was certainly sassy today.) But Sally doubted Brooke could do much harm to Macy's relationship with Thorne. Clarke thought Sally was correct unless Brooke had fooled herself into thinking she was in love with Thorne. Kimberly decided she had to talk to Brooke about staying away from Thorne.

After Kimberly left, Sally pointed out that Thorne and Macy had weathered difficult times in their marriage before. Clarke agreed but said they had never had to deal with the likes of Brooke Logan. Sally had faith in Thorne's character and believed he would not leave Macy for someone as shallow at Brooke.

In her office at Forrester Creations, Brooke daydreamed about Thorne arriving in her bedroom and announcing Macy had agreed to a divorce. To celebrate, Brooke removed Thorne's shirt. (It was a fantasy, after all. Who can blame her?) The happy couple fell into bed and kissed up a storm. Her fantasy was interrupted by Kimberly arriving at her office. (Kimberly's newly dark hair was scrunched and curled into a rat's nest of a 'do. I didn't think it was too becoming.) Brooke said she understood Kimberly's concern about her sister, Macy. Brooke said she also felt sorry for Macy's troubles. Kimberly asked how Brooke could say such a thing and continue to pursue Thorne. Brooke pointed out that she was not pursuing Thorne. She and Thorne had a relationship before he married Macy and that wedding was a mistake. Kimberly pleaded with Brooke to back off and give Macy and Thorne a chance to work on their marriage. Brooke declined the suggestion, stating that Macy had technically come between Brooke and Thorne. Kimberly responded that she had backed away from Rick when he wanted to make his marriage with Amber work. Brooke agreed, but pointed out Kimberly had tried to take Amber down when she realized how unhappy Rick was. Brooke told Kimberly not to expect her to back away from Thorne.

And over at the beach bungalow Macy was shocked to hear Thorne wanted a divorce. Macy assumed he wanted to leave because of her drinking. She swore she would never drink again. Macy said divorce was not an option. She questioned about all the promises he had made in Amsterdam. She was certain they could work things out. Thorne said the marriage had been a mistake. Macy responded that she hadn't even wanted to get married but Thorne had convinced her that she was the one he loved. Thorne said he didn't love her the way a husband should love his wife. Macy responded to that snarky comment with a slap across Thorne face! (Ouch! Good shot, Macy.) Macy asked if he didn't love her in that way, how had he been able to have such passionate sex with her.

Thorne said he had tried to make it work. He had been tricked by his father and brother in Venice. He thought Brooke had been unfaithful to him and he overreacted. He was sorry that Macy had to suffer for something that was not her fault, but he couldn't pretend any longer. Their marriage was over. Macy couldn't believe Thorne was going to throw away all the time they had put into their relationship. Macy said Thorne was everything to her. She just couldn't "move on." He was obviously blinded by Brooke. He had turned to Macy when he though Brooke had betrayed him. Macy questioned if that meant nothing to him now. She wanted him to remember all they had shared.

Thorne replied that the past was not enough. He asked if Macy thought keeping him in a relationship he didn't want to be in would make their marriage stronger. He knew she didn't believe that. Macy told Thorne that Brooke was just a phase. They had beat the odds before and they could do it again. Macy said Thorne's happiness was her first priority. (If that's true, Macy, then I suppose you'd let him move in with Brooke, now wouldn't you?) Macy begged Thorne to give their marriage another chance.

OK, we get it. Thorne wants to leave. Macy wants him to stay. Enough already. Let's move on.

Episode Date: Monday, June 19, 2000

Macy and Thorne continued their conversation at the beach bungalow. Thorne said he could not stay in their marriage any longer. Macy told him he was only infatuated with Brooke. Thorne assured Macy he was not going to change his mind. He wanted a divorce. Dejected, Macy picked up a bottle of vodka to take a drink. Thorne begged her not to do that to herself. Macy retorted that Brooke had caused her drinking. Thorne replied that nothing justified Macy drinking. Macy looked thoughtful and put the bottle down. Thorne said Macy was not weak or pathetic as she guessed he viewed her. He believed in her. "Then why are you leaving me?" Macy asked. (And rightfully so, I must say.) Thorne said the reason didn't matter. He called a rehabilitation center and arranged for her to check in that evening. Macy agreed to go, but not that night. She felt she needed some time. She told Thorne if his decision was final, he should leave right then. Thorne said he'd call and left. Macy picked up the vodka bottle and took a big gulp! (And just like Yosemite Sam on the Bugs Bunny cartoons, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand when she was finished. Oh, Macy, you've hit rock bottom.)

In her office at Forrester Creations, Brooke told Kimberly that she was not the problem with Thorne and Macy's marriage. Kimberly told Brooke she should take responsibility for Macy's renewed drinking problem. She had now ruined three Forrester marriages (Eric and Stephanie, Ridge and Taylor, and Thorne and Macy.) Kimberly said she didn't want to view Brooke as vile, but had no choice since she was indeed vile. (That dark dye job is really going to *Kimberly's head.) Brooke sniffed that life was not a popularity contest and she intended to do what she thought was best for her life. Kimberly said she would do the same for Macy. Kimberly said Brooke would have to deal with her if Macy lost Thorne. (Oooh! I'm so scared! What are you going to do, Kimberly, dye Brooke's hair as dark as yours and make her look like a goth girl?)

Brooke returned home and opened her mail when Thorne arrived. He told Brooke Macy had agreed to a divorce. She had accepted the fact that their marriage was over.

Not so fast, Thorne. Back at the beach bungalow, Kimberly arrived and found Macy had been drinking on the deck. (You could tell she had been drinking because her hair extensions were all askew.) Kimberly was horribly upset to find her half-sister inebriated. Macy said Thorne and had left her and wanted a divorce. Kimberly tried to take the vodka bottle away from Macy but she held onto it like Linus grasping his security blanket. Macy said she had told Thorne she would let him go, but she had no intention of doing that. "I will never give up my husband to that tramp! She is going to regret what she's doing to me. Brooke Logan has no idea what I am capable of" Macy growled. (Now this could get really nasty! I sure hope so.)

CJ and Amber escorted Becky back home to the seedy apartment where she was greeted by Tillie, Joe, Stephanie, Rick and Little Eric. Amber told Rick that Becky was on new medications that were regulating the pain. Stephanie enlisted Rick's help to bake Becky's favorite German chocolate cake. (Yeah, right, Stephanie is such the baker!) CJ and Becky explained they were planning to return to Santa Barbara for their honeymoon. Becky said life seemed so much better to her now. She had known something was wrong for a long time. Now that she knew what the problem was, things were much clearer to her. As the group enjoyed Stephanie's baking triumph, Becky told Little Eric about each of the guests and how they would all take care of him when she was gone. (She referred to CJ as his "daddy.") As everyone played with Little Eric, Becky was overcome with pain. As she slumped onto the couch, she smiled. She knew Little Eric would be just fine.

That cake sure looked good. I wonder if Stephanie could start a little bakery in her kitchen. She might be able to pick up a little money on the side.

Episode Date: Tuesday, June 20, 2000

At Spectra Fashions, CJ told his mother that he and Becky were not going to Santa Barbara for a honeymoon after all. Sally guessed that Becky was not feeling up to it. CJ confessed that Becky was not well but he was going to take her to the Café Ruse that evening. Sally hugged her son.

At the seedy apartment, Becky sang to Little Eric as Amber prepared a turkey and Swiss sandwich for her cousin. (Remember, God is in the details.) Becky said how much she enjoyed the previous evening's party and how lucky Little Eric was to have so many people around that loved him. Becky noted how well Amber and Rick had gotten along at the party. Amber told Becky not to read anything into it. They had both been enjoying spending time with the baby.

Rick unexpectedly arrived at the door. Amber assured him it was not a bad time for a visit and left to run some errands. Alone with Rick, Becky told him she was glad to see he was getting along with Amber. Rick explained that they had both grown a lot since he had learned Little Eric was not his son. Becky asked him there was a chance he and Amber might get back together. Rick was surprised by the question. He told Becky that he was working on forgiving Amber for what she had done to him. He thought they could someday be friends and they would always love and take care of Little Eric, but he would not get involved in a relationship with Amber again. Becky said she understood, but pouted as Amber returned to the apartment.

After Rick left, Amber asked what had transpired between her cousin and Rick. (That Amber is sure sharp.) Becky denied that anything had happened when CJ came through the door. CJ told his wife to put on a new dress because he was taking her out to dinner. As Becky left the room to change clothes, CJ and Amber prepared to change little Eric's diaper. The two kidded with each other and fawned over the baby. Becky stood in the hallway and observed them. As she watched how well they interacted, a smile crossed her face. (Oh, now Becky. Don't you go trying to play matchmaker on your death bed. You hear me girl?)

Alone in her office at Forrester Creations, Morgan held her frighteningly flat stomach (which was exposed in her trampy outfit) and was confident she was pregnant. Taylor walked in and startled Morgan. Taylor was sure Morgan was anxious to find out if she was going to have a child and insisted that she and Ridge be the godparents of her baby. Taylor hoped the insemination process went well (oh, honey, it went very well). Morgan thanked Taylor for allowing Ridge to help out in her endeavor to get pregnant. (But Taylor doesn't know how "hands on" Ridge's participation truly was.)

Alone in his own office, Ridge berated himself for allowing himself to be taken in by Morgan's plan. He bemoaned the fact that he now had to keep a secret from his wife. Stephanie showed up and told her son that Taylor had told her of Morgan wanting to use Ridge's sperm. Stephanie wanted Ridge to assure that Morgan was fired from Forrester. Ridge said he didn't want to make the situation public. He assured his mother that he was not protecting Morgan. He said he understood how determined Morgan was to have his child. Stephanie was suspicious that Ridge was not defending Morgan and guessed that she had made a pass at him. Stephanie insisted Ridge tell Taylor that Morgan had put the moves on her husband while she was out of town. Ridge assured his mother that Morgan would not come between him and his wife.

Stephanie left Ridge and made a beeline for Morgan's office. La Forrester said she had spoken with Ridge and discovered Morgan had hit on her son. Morgan laughed at Stephanie's ignorance and told her that she no longer needed Ridge. She had got what she wanted. Stephanie told Morgan to stay away from Ridge. He was now a committed family man while Morgan was still the same game-playing teeny-bopper she had been when Madonna recorded "Like a Virgin." Pissed off, Morgan sneered that she would tell Stephanie exactly what happened between her and Ridge. Stephanie smirked with bated breath.

Episode Date:Wednesday, June 21, 2000

Rick visited the seedy apartment again to see Little Eric. Amber assured her ex-husband that he didn't need an invitation to see the baby. Rick told Amber that Becky was worried about Little Eric's future and had asked him if there was chance that he and Amber might reunite. Amber apologized for her cousin. She felt Becky wanted Little Eric to have a family after she died. Rick explained that he had promised Becky he would always be there for her son. Amber said she and Becky had not made concrete plans about who would care for the baby. Amber knew Becky wanted him to live with someone that loved him totally and Amber knew that was her.

Meanwhile, at the Café Ruse, CJ and Becky enjoyed a delicious, nutritious, and beautifully presented meal. CJ was surprised when Becky told him she had asked Rick if he and Amber might get back together. CJ realized Becky was concerned about her son's future. Becky slyly talked about all of Amber's wonderful traits and was confident she would eventually find a great guy. Becky smiled at CJ as she mentioned Amber's romantic prospects. (I told you, girl. No deathbed matchmaking!) Becky asked if CJ had ever been attracted to Amber. CJ admitted he had a crush on her when she arrived in Los Angeles, but no feelings compared to what he had for Becky. Becky said she wanted CJ to find that kind of love again. CJ insisted they not talk about Becky being gone. Becky expressed how much she enjoyed the Café Ruse and remembered the first time they dined had the restaurant. She was sure she needed nothing else. Her life was perfect. Becky told how she had never been close to her parents. But at her wedding, she realized how much they loved her. She thanked CJ for loving her so much and allowing her to see the love in others. She wanted to tell him how she felt because she wasn't sure when she might get the chance again. CJ begged Becky not to talk about the future. They exchanged quiet "I love you's" and shared a tender moment. (I'm afraid their food will get cold, though. Eat up, you two. You can get all sappy after dessert.)

Ridge passionately kissed Taylor in his office. Taylor noticed how stressed he appeared. (He was a big, chocolate mess!) He said he wanted to leave the office and go home to spend time with his family. Taylor reminded him that Morgan needed help to meet a deadline. Taylor wondered what was causing Ridge's stress. She mentioned that Morgan could not be upsetting him because she was so happy that she might be pregnant. Taylor joked that Morgan would make their lives miserable if she discovered she wasn't pregnant. (How prophetic, Taylor. She will actually make your lives miserable if she is pregnant.) Taylor said they should take the children up to the cabin in Big Bear for the weekend. Ridge said all that mattered was his family as he tightly held his wife. Taylor left for home and asked Ridge to hurry helping Morgan.

In her own office, Morgan told Stephanie that she had learned Ridge still cared for her. Stephanie accused Morgan of being delusional. Morgan said she was finished listening to Stephanie, she was going to trust her own instincts. She pointed out that she didn't think Ridge "loved" her. Stephanie said there was no way Ridge would jeopardize his family life for Morgan. Miss DeWitt asked why Stephanie was even there if there was no chance she could steal Ridge away from Taylor. Morgan said Stephanie was to blame for all her problems. Stephanie suggested Morgan get over the past and said Morgan's infatuation with Ridge was unnatural. Stephanie made a veiled threat against the designer if she didn't leave Ridge alone. Morgan screamed for Stephanie to get out of her office.

The two ladies (hey, those were no ladies) didn't know Ridge had been listening outside the door. After Stephanie left he room, Ridge entered. Morgan said she was not in the mood for any lectures as she had just listened to Stephanie's tirade. Ridge said he wished he had listened to his mother's advice when Morgan returned to LA. Morgan protested she didn't do anything to hurt Ridge. He exploded that he wanted her to take a pregnancy test immediately and give him the results of her HIV test. (I was kind of wondering about sex without protection, kids.) Morgan assured Ridge she was healthy. Ridge said he didn't believe anything she said anymore. Morgan told Ridge to chill out. He became enraged with her flip attitude and grabbed her by the arms and insisted she take him seriously. Morgan sniped that surely Ridge had known Taylor would never consent to them making love to conceive a child. Ridge said he never would have touched her if he had known that truth. Ridge threatened that Morgan had better hope she wasn't pregnant. He insisted she bring a pregnancy test and take it in front of him first thing in the morning.

After Ridge stormed out of the office, Morgan held her stomach and told "Little One" that she would protect him/her no matter what. ("Little One"? I think I'm experiencing morning sickness.)

Episode Date: Thursday, June 22, 2000

I apologize for the tardiness of this update. Mr. Smartypants had a late night on Thursday.

Brooke stopped by Morgan's office for a friendly, CEO, how's-it-going hello. Morgan said things were going very well. Brooke asked if Stephanie had been giving her a hard time. Morgan replied that she didn't allow Stephanie to bother her. Brooke asked for lessons in that way of thinking. Brooke inquired about Morgan's relationship with Ridge. Morgan explained that Ridge had come through for her and helped her get pregnant. Brooke nearly choked on her on saliva. Not only was Brooke shocked to learn Morgan wanted to have a baby, she said it had sounded like Ridge was the father of the child. Morgan avoided that issue. She continued that both Ridge and Taylor had been understanding. Taylor had suggested artificial insemination. Brooke admired Morgan for taking on the responsibility of single parenthood. Morgan said she would ideally like a strong father figure for her child like Eric was for Rick and Bridgette. (Rick and WHO?) Brooke questioned who that person would be if Morgan wasn't presently involved with anyone. Morgan said she had learned if she wanted anything she simply had to take control to get it. Brooke wished the loco designer good luck and left the office. Alone, Morgan told herself she would find out tomorrow if she really was pregnant.

Ridge arrived home to his Bel Air mansion and found Taylor in a tiny teddy ready for some bedtime recreational sport action. Taylor pulled out all the stops (and a few body parts, I'm sure) and seduced a somewhat reluctant Ridge. After a few rounds of "simon sex", Taylor wondered if Ridge had noticed her libido had been in overdrive lately. Ridge said he had happily noticed. (That Ridge is such a cheeky rogue!) Taylor thought she was more uninhibited lately because she totally trusted Ridge. In the past, she had always worried about Brooke. Now Taylor realized Ridge would never hurt her. Once Taylor started sawing logs (that a cute American expression for sleeping) Ridge paced the floor and hoped Morgan wasn't pregnant. Ridge then called Morgan at her office. He instructed her to leave the office, pick up a home pregnancy test at the all night CVS pharmacy and meet him at the beach house. He had to know immediately if she was pregnant.

At the seedy apartment, Rick asked Amber if Becky had talked to a lawyer. Rick thought it would be a good idea for her to have her wishes for Little Eric's future in writing. Amber got defensive and told Rick she was obviously going to be Little Eric's guardian once Becky was gone and there was no use discussing it with anyone. Rick gently pointed out that she would need such papers to enroll him in school or visit him in a hospital. Rick also worried that the biological father might return and seek custody. Amber was agitated and said the only thing she worried about was caring for the baby once his mother was gone. Rick apologized for upsetting Amber. He gently took her hand and said she wasn't the only one who still viewed Little Eric as their son. Amber smiled. As they put the child to sleep, Amber encouraged Rick to come around for visits more often. (Hmmm. I'm not sure, but I think Mr. Smartypants might smell a custody battle for Little Eric in the making.)

Meanwhile, at the Café Ruse, Becky and CJ celebrated their honeymoon. They had a Polaroid photo taken by a tacky roving photo gal. (Would a nice restaurant really offer such a cheesy service?) Becky wanted CJ to keep the snap shot. She told him he had filled her heart with love. She said she knew CJ would have a wonderful future and she hoped he someday found another woman to love that felt as lucky as she did. CJ didn't want to hear talk about Becky being gone. Becky asked her husband to dance. (What a coincidence! The stale Café Ruse muzak stopped and a version of the maudlin song Amber sang at the wedding, Music of My Heart, played for the couple's dance.)

"I feel like I'm halfway to heaven" Becky said wistfully. (Oh honey, if you only knew. Oops! You do know. So what are you saying?) CJ noticed Becky seemed weak. She insisted thet continue to dance, but she collapsed on the floor. The other patrons insisted an ambulance be called, but Becky cried that she wanted to go home.

CJ helped Becky into the seedy apartment. Rick and Amber were startled as CJ whisked Becky into the bedroom to see Little Eric. Amber called Dr. Russell and left him a message. Amber rushed around the apartment looking for Becky's pain pills. CJ returned to the living room and told Amber he had given her cousin pills on the way home. CJ informed Rick and Amber that he thought this was the end. He thought Becky was dying.

Dun-dun-duh! (That's my new written cue for dramatic music. I suggest you sing it to yourself every time you read it.)

Ridge pounded on the door of Morgan's beach house. He had arrived with a pregnancy test kit. (I thought he told her in yesterday's episode to pick it up herself. Is there a problem in continuity or, perchance, did those three cosmopolitans clouds my viewing ability last evening?) Anyway, Ridge was rude and impatient as he shoved the kit in Morgan's face and ordered her to go take it. (I hope she had been drinking lots of water.) Morgan returned from the bathroom with the test strip. She told Ridge it would take a few minutes before the test results would be visible. Morgan was agitated that Ridge was so angry. She said the last child they had conceived had been created with love. She was hoping this child would be the same way. Ridge said he had offered friendship and support to help her out but she had deceived him. Morgan said he had to have felt something or he would not have been able to do what he did the other night. (In simple English, he could not have made love to her if he didn't feel something for her. You'll have to drop me an e-mail if you need further explanation.) Ridge retorted that Morgan couldn't feel much for him because of the way she lied to him and Taylor. Morgan picked up the pregnancy test strip. Ridge demanded to know what it indicated.

At the seedy apartment, Amber told Rick to go home. She and CJ could take care of Becky. Rick agreed. He told both Amber and CJ he would support them in the difficult times ahead. Rick left for the Forrester mansion. CJ told Amber it was too soon for Becky to die. Amber insisted they be strong for Becky's sake.

In the bedroom, Becky talked with Little Eric. She told him how proud she was of him and that she would have to be going away. Becky told her son that Amber and CJ would take care of him. A tear fell from her eye as she said she could leave the world in peace because she knew she had given him to the world.

Amber and CJ entered the room and found Becky standing by Little Eric's crib. Amber helped her cousin back into the bed. Amber offered more pain medications, but Becky refused them saying she wasn't in pain. Amber sat on the edge of the bed. Becky asked if she was sure she wanted to take over the care of Little Eric. Amber replied that she loved the baby as if he was her own. Becky thanked her cousin and said it gave her peace knowing he would be raised by Amber. Amber broke down and wept. She didn't want Becky to leave her. Becky asked Amber to be strong and take care of both her boys. Becky requested that Amber tell her parents that she was happy. The cousins exchanged "I love you's."

Amber retreated to the corner of the room and cried quietly. CJ sat beside Becky on the bed. Becky joked that the honeymoon was over. "Never" was CJ's reply. She remembered the song Amber had sung at their wedding and how it had played that evening at the Café Ruse. Becky feebly sang a couple of lines from the son, "The Music of My Heart." Becky grew weak and recalled their beautiful wedding. She asked CJ to tell her about it again. CJ told her it was the perfect wedding. It had been just as they planned. All their friends and family were there. Becky asked if CJ was nervous. He admitted that he was until he saw her walk down the aisle. He knew he wanted to be with her. She remembered his loving vows and his quoting the Bible. "Love never dies." She had wanted to back out of the wedding but he wouldn't let her. She remembered their first kiss as husband wife. CJ kissed her again. Becky smiled and then died.

CJ called her name. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he held his wife.

Ridge grabbed the pregnancy test wand from Morgan's hand. After she explained that a negative sign meant she wasn't pregnant, Ridge was thrilled to see that negative sign. Morgan pouted as Ridge asked if she expected him to feel sorry for her. He noted she had endangered everything he cared about by tricking him into making love to her. Morgan said she thought she was special to him as well. Ridge replied that what she had done was evil. Morgan cried that their night of intimate passions (who am I - Mr. Smartypants or Danielle Steele?) had been special to her. He had brought joy to her heart and she had hoped something wonderful, like a little baby, would come out of that joy. Morgan said she had never meant to hurt Ridge, ruin their friendship or threaten his marriage. Ridge said the two of them would never have a baby together. Ridge wanted to stay and discuss what had transpired. Morgan told him to go home. As he left, she added that she hoped he would forgive her one day. After Ridge was gone, Morgan picked up the pregnancy test and studied it carefully. She then walked to the deck, sat in a rocking chair and told herself that Ridge would indeed for forgive her. (She had a spooky look on her face as she rocked. She looked very similar to Miss Bette Davis after singing "I've Written a Letter to Daddy" in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.)

Ridge returned home and found Taylor, still in her teddy, reading a medical text book in bed. Ridge grabbed the book and tossed it off the side of the bed. Their lips tangled in an all consuming passion. (Omigawd! Now I'm Barbara Cartland!) At Taylor's question, Ridge explained that he had to leave to take care of something. "Now I'm going to take care of you." (That was the actual line of dialog, dear readers. I didn't make that one up.) Ridge explained that he had a problem, but it was now gone and he never wanted to think about it again. They exchanged "I love you's" as Taylor tore her husband's shirt to reveal his sturdy chest. (Can a Harlequin romance be too far in my future?)

Over at Brooke's house, she and Thorne ate Chinese food at her coffee table. Brooke said she wanted him to spend the night since Bridget (who dat?) was with friends at Yellowstone Park. ( I wonder if she'll see Yogi the Bear and Boo Boo. Oh, wait, that's Jellystone Park.) Thorne desperately wanted to sleep over, but promised Macy he would stay at their house until she checked into a rehabilitation clinic. Thorne and Brooke agreed they would talk to Bridget once she returned home and Thorne would then move into the house with them. Brooke was not concerned what the Forresters or the Spectras might think of their relationship. She had always known they would be together. Thorne said he planned to take Macy to rehab the very next day. Brooke's passion ignited as she expressed her womanly desires and placed her heaving bosom on Thorne's manly frame. (I give up. I'll just start writing a cheesy movie-of-the-week with a lead role for Miss Valerie Bertinelli right now.)

At the beach bungalow, sweet Kimberly prepared a pot of herbal tea as Macy turned her bag and took a couple of gulps of vodka. Kimberly bad-mouthed Brooke for all the problems she had caused for Macy and Thorne. Macy felt she had made a fool of herself. Kimberly approached her sister to comfort but smelled the stench of Satan's brew on her breath! (I made up the Satan's brew part. But I think it's pretty good, don't you?) Kimberly cursed Brooke for making her sister drink. (If Kimberly had looked closely, she could have told Macy had been drinking. Her hair extensions were all messed up. Everyone knows that a drunk never combs their extensions.) Macy cried that she was a wreck, she had no confidence and no pride. It was obvious that Thorne had chosen Brooke over her poor, sad-sack self. Kimberly thought Thorne spending the night at the bungalow was a good sign. Macy thought he only pitied her.

After Kimberly left, Thorne arrived. Macy said she didn't need a baby sitter, but she did need a hug. She told her husband how much she had missed him. Thorne said he had only come to keep her from being alone. He insisted on taking Macy to a clinic to dry out the next day. Thorne said he would be sleeping on the couch and left the room to get a blanket and pillows. Alone, Macy grabbed her vodka bottle and took a couple more healthy swigs. Her eyes glazed over and she said "You have done this to my marriage. Tomorrow…tomorrow I'm going to come and find you and put an end to this once and for all."

(I'm assuming she was addressing Brooke and not Miss Valerie Bertinelli.)

It's a new day in Bold & Beautiful-ville.

Sally and Clarke wandered about Sally's living room and worried about CJ. They knew Becky's death had devastated CJ, but he wanted to be alone. Clarke was certain their son would be able to cope. (Where exactly does Clarke live anyway?) Kimberly arrived at the front door and sensed Sally and Clarke were upset about something. Sally told the teen that Becky had died. Kimberly asked how CJ was doing. (Now I realize not everything that happens to our favorite characters is shown on screen, but as far as we know, Kimberly never knew Becky was ill or that she and CJ had gotten married. It's hard to believe she'd be very upset by the sad news.) Kimberly told Sally and Clarke that she was worried about Macy. Kimberly brought them up to date on Thorne asking Macy for a divorce and Macy's continued drinking. Sally couldn't believe that Thorne would be so cruel to her daughter. Kimberly said she had tried to contact Macy that morning and had not found her. She was concerned Macy might do something drastic. Sally informed Clarke and Kimberly to look for Macy. Sally left the apartment to find Thorne and stop him from divorcing Macy.

At the beach bungalow, Macy entered the living room where Thorne was asleep on the couch. She whispered that she wouldn't let Brooke take him away from her. She put on her sunglasses and left the house. Thorne awoke and found Macy and her car gone. He then went to his office and met Jonathan, the family lawyer. (Wouldn't you think he'd have gone to find Macy instead?) Jonathan had the divorce papers Thorne had requested. The lawyer was surprised the couple was divorcing and further shocked to hear Thorne was involved with Brooke. Jonathan advised Thorne that a relationship with Brooke could affect the Forrester family and the business. After having been married to Thorne's father and brother, Brooke's relationship with another Forrester man would be viewed as inappropriate. Thorne promised the entire matter would be handled discreetly. He intended to deliver the papers for Macy's signature personally.

Meanwhile, Brooke was jolly in her house, thinking that Thorne would be moving in that afternoon. But Macy had arrived at the front door, drinking from her handy bottle of vodka. Brooke allowed Macy to enter her house. Macy said she hadn't come to reason with Brooke, she had come to save her marriage. Macy said she could not let Brooke destroy everything she cared about. Macy hypothesized that Brooke's infatuation with Thorne was simply a phase. She was sure Brooke would get over him. Macy cried that she could not get over Thorne. He was everything to her. Macy begged Brooke not to take Thorne away from her. Brooke insisted she didn't want to hurt Macy, but it was too late. Macy asked Brooke to act like a human being. Macy thought Brooke hadn't thought of all the people she would be hurting. Macy wondered how Brooke could have known Thorne for so many years and just woke up one day and be in love with him. Macy said she had loved Thorne from the first day she met him. They had been happy until Brooke decided to break them up. Macy lamented how she had played into Brooke's hands by starting to drink again. Brooke repeated that Thorne's decision to end the marriage had nothing to do with Macy's drinking. He cared about her, but not the way a husband should love a wife. Thorne's marriage to Macy was a mistake. Ridge and Eric had tricked Thorne and Brooke and Macy had gotten caught in the middle. Broke said Thorne had always loved her and Macy should stop fighting it. Macy replied that she would never give up on her marriage. In fact, if Brooke truly loved Thorne, Macy said Brooke would give him up. But Macy was certain Brooke never thought of anyone but herself.

Thorne arrived at that very moment. He was surprised to see Macy there and encouraged her to leave with him and go to the rehabilitation clinic. Macy wanted to stay and talk. She said she would not allow Thorne to leave her. Thorne reminded his wife that he wanted the ugly episode to be over that day. He presented Macy with the divorce papers and told her to sign them right away.

Ridge, sporting a new haircut (and it's about time), returned a few of Morgan's designs to her office. Morgan asked him to stay and discuss his revisions, but Ridge was cold and wanted to leave. He explained he was not ready to talk to her after what she had pulled on him and he didn't know if he ever would be. Morgan thought they could at least be civil to each other. She said people would be suspicious if they suddenly stopped acting friendly to one another. Ridge didn't seem to care about appearances. He was mad and that was the way it had to be.

Clarke stomped into Thorne's office at Forrester Creations and found Taylor there leaving a note for her brother-in-law. Taylor could tell Clarke was upset. He related how Thorne had asked Macy for a divorce, how Thorne told Macy he was in love with Brooke and how Macy had started drinking again. Taylor was upset to hear the bad news, but told Clarke she didn't think she could help talk Thorne out of his decision. She didn't want to interfere in the situation. Clarke ranted and raved at Taylor about how the Forresters always talked about supporting family, but they didn't seem to care much about Macy. Ridge entered the office and told Clarke not to speak to Taylor in that manner. Taylor explained that Clarke was upset about Thorne dumping Macy. Ridge was surprised by the news but told Clarke to stay out of their business. Clarke was angry at Ridge and Taylor's indifference and said "I hope Brooke tears this family apart!"

The trio didn't notice that Morgan had appeared behind a stack of boxes outside Thorne's office and was listening to the entire conversation. What possible use that information had for Morgan is beyond my comprehension, but she smiled just like the proverbial cat that swallowed the canary.

Over at Brooke's house, Macy cried as she looked at the divorce papers. Thorne was firm and told her that he had explained he wanted the relationship to end quickly. Macy was insulted that Thorne offered her a generous monetary settlement. Thorne told his wife he knew the process was painful, but the sooner they got the divorce over with, the sooner they could get on with their lives. Macy said she couldn't sign the documents in front of Brooke. Thorne told Macy she had to accept the inevitable. She begged him not to go through with the divorce. Thorne said Macy would see it was all for the best once she sobered up and saw thing clearly. Macy slowly picked up a pen to sign the papers but ripped them in half instead. She screamed that she could not let Thorne destroy his life. She loved him too much to let that happen. She ran out the door. Thorne and Brooke ran after her, but Macy sped off in her car.

Macy stumbled into Eric's office at Forrester Creations. Eric was shocked to see Macy in such a disheveled state. She explained that Thorne was leaving her because he thought he was in love with Brooke. Eric promised to straighten out the mess. Macy admitted she had started drinking again and was scared to lose Thorne. Macy said Eric had stopped Thorne from marrying Brooke before. She begged him to do it again. Eric was infuriated that Thorne had presented Macy with the divorce papers in front of Brooke, but pleased she had not signed them. Eric had Meagan drive Macy home.

Back at Brooke's house, Thorne was upset the scene with Macy went poorly, but he still planned to move in with Brooke that day. Not so fast, you two, Eric just stormed through the door. He yelled that their affair would ruin the Forrester family. Eric reminded Thorne that Stephanie had suffered a stroke the last time he had announced his love for Brooke. Thorne screamed that he as not falling for any guilt inducing tactics this time. He was going to live the truth and marry Brooke. Eric insisted the lovebirds would not be getting married.

(Isn't it time for a comedy scene? I think Amber and Kimberly should get locked in the wine cellar at the Café Ruse. They could get sauced on vino and cut each other's hair. I'd pay good money to see that.)

Episode Date: Thursday, June 29, 2000

Dear Readers: I will be leaving for a two week vacation on July 5. I'm sorry that I will not be able to write my updates while I am gone. I will watch the missed episodes of B&B when I return on July 18 and get you caught up on all the happenings. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Clarke showed up at Morgan's beach house. Apparently she had invited him there after overhearing his argument with Taylor and Ridge. Clarke went off about how much he hated the Forrester couple for not caring enough to save Macy's marriage to Thorne. He couldn't wait until they had troubles in their own marriage. (Those are the magic words, Clarke.) Morgan said things were going very well for her, but she really couldn't go into details. Clarke asked if she was pregnant. Morgan replied, "Not that I'm aware of." Clarke again offered his stud services but Morgan refused because he was the only male friend she had. Clarke was suspicious that Morgan and Ridge were no longer close. He warned Morgan to beware of alienating the Forrester family - especially Stephanie. Morgan said Stephanie was finally going to get what she deserved and Morgan planned to serve it to her. Clarke was curious what ammunition Morgan had against the mighty Queen Stephanie. Morgan made him swear to secrecy because her secret dealt with Ridge and Taylor and she didn't hate them as much as Clarke did. Clarke promised not to divulge her secret. He wouldn't ruin their friendship. (When did these two exactly get to be such good friends? They've only shared two cups of java at Insomnia, for crying out loud.) Morgan dropped the bombshell. She told Clarke she had recently slept with Ridge! Clarke was agog.

Taylor was about to leave her palatial mansion to go grocery shopping but was stopped short at the door by an amorous Ridge wanting some afternoon delight. After getting all hot and sweaty on the couch, Taylor questioned Ridge's recent, constant need for sexing it up with her. Ridge said he simply couldn't get enough of his lovely wife. They agreed they were not trying to have another child, but Taylor thought they could enjoy Morgan's impending birth. Ridge didn't want to talk of Morgan's possible pregnancy. (Gee, Ridge, I wonder why?) Taylor had to leave to shop for their barbecue. (Barbecue? What barbecue? I don't recall receiving an invitation.) As Taylor draped a crocheted, granny-square afghan around her nubile frame, Ridge whispered how much he loved her. (It really wasn't a granny square afghan, but I wish it had been.)

At the beach bungalow, Macy drank vodka. (From a glass this time - she's really moving up in the world.) She recalled having sex on the deck with Thorne. (Who wouldn't like to remember that?) During the flashback memory, Macy recalled Thorne talking about vacationing in the mountains. Macy thought about the mountains and started to make a phone call but was interrupted by Sally at the door. Sally watched Macy pour her drink down the sink, but realized she had been drinking again. Sally offered to help her daughter through her difficult divorce, but Macy insisted all she needed was Thorne. Sally argued that Macy shouldn't spend so much energy on a man that clearly wasn't worth it. (Uh, Sally, did you take a good look at him?) Macy said she wanted to go to the Forrester cabin in Big Bear. The mountains were special to Thorne. If she could get him to go there with her, she thought she might have a chance to save her marriage. A concerned Sally followed Macy out the door. (Maybe Meagan could drive them both up to the cabin. What else does she have to do?)

Meanwhile, over at chez Brooke, Eric insisted that Thorne leave with him. Thorne was very angry and told his father to butt out of his business. He was going to marry Brooke. Thorne said he didn't want to hear any more excuses from Eric about why his actions would destroy the family and the business. (Thanks, Thorne, we don't want to hear it again, either.) Thorne argued that Eric and Ridge had ruined Macy's life, not him. Eric said he had come to warn Thorne that his romance with Brooke would end tragically. Eric also told Brooke that she needed professional help, not another Forrester man. (Ouch! That is really cruel. True, but cruel.) Eric advised Thorne to treat Macy with dignity and respect. Thorne suggested Eric take a lesson in those qualities as well.

After Eric left, Thorne called Jonathan the lawyer and asked for a second set of divorce papers. He intended to get a divorce from Macy that very night. Thorne told Brooke he didn't care what anyone thought of their relationship. All he needed was her. They were interrupted by a phone call from Macy. She told Thorne she was up at the cabin in Big Bear and asked him to join her. Thorne was concerned that Macy had been driving and convinced her to stay put until he arrived.

But Macy wasn't alone at the cabin. Sally was there with her. Macy told her mother that she was going to have Thorne all to herself…….for the last time.

Dun Dun Duh! Last time! What do you mean Macy? Oh my goodness!

Taylor and Ridge were by the pool of their mansion preparing for a barbecue and waiting for Catherine, the nanny, to return with the children. Ridge was getting all hot and bothered but Taylor put the kibosh on his amorous intentions. (Keep it in check, would ya, Ridge?) Taylor wondered it Morgan had plans for the 4th of July holiday. She thought maybe they should have invited her over. Ridge made it clear that Morgan was an adult and could find other friends in Los Angeles. Taylor was curious why Ridge's attitude toward Morgan had changed since Taylor's trip out of town. Taylor figured Ridge must think Morgan's maternity scheme was a bad idea and was afraid she was making a mistake. Ridge agreed that was why he and Morgan were at odds. Ridge hugged his wife and told her how much he loved her. (And is Taylor going to wear that tiny bikini top around her children? If my mother had shown that much cleavage around me in infancy, I'm sure I'd be scarred for life.)

Over at the Malibu beach house, Morgan explained to Clarke that she had slept with Ridge to conceive a child. She explained how she had (1) sent the faux e-mail from Taylor's computer, how she had (2) told Taylor she planned another attempt at artificial insemination, how Taylor had (3) called Ridge and told him to support Morgan's idea to get pregnant, how Ridge had (4) been reluctant, how they had (5) made love, how he had (6) found out Taylor had not sanctioned the nookie, how Ridge had (7) forced her to take a pregnancy exam, how she had (8) saved urine from before her sex with Ridge, how she had (9) faked the pregnancy test, and how she (10) intended to test herself for real that very evening. (She saved her urine? In what? Does Tupperware make a handy, air-tight, urine specimen saver these days? If so, I'm not burping that mama.) Clarke was intrigued by Morgan's cunning. She returned from the bathroom. (I'm assuming she used fresh urine this time.) Clarke was anxious to hear the test results. (Well, Clarke, so are we. But savvy B&B viewers that we are, we know we're not going to find out until Monday.)

Brooke and Thorne waited impatiently at her house for Jonathan, the lawyer, to arrive with a new set of divorce papers. Brooke feared Macy was a desperate woman and might try something dangerous. Thorne calmed Brooke's fears. He said he could handle Macy. They agreed it was getting late. Thorne could not wait any longer for the divorce papers and risk Macy driving back to the city in a drunken stupor. Thorne kissed Brooke and left.

Macy sat by the fire as Sally helped clean the cabin. Macy asked her mother if she thought there was any chance Thorne would take her back. Sally didn't know the answer, but thought Thorne's impending arrival was a good sign. Sally wanted Macy to return to LA with her that evening and spend the night with her. She suggested they curl each other's hair, eat popcorn and watch movies. (And don't forget to call boys. That's the best part of any slumber party.) Macy said she had to stay at the cabin and "take care of something." (What do you mean Macy?) Sally worried, but Macy said she would be fine. She just wanted to be alone with Thorne. Macy said she now felt in control of her marriage. Sally said a mother always wanted to take care of her daughter. She didn't feel right about leaving Macy alone. Sally told Macy of all the memories she had of their past. Macy pushed her mother out the door and promised to call if she needed any help. (Why do you suppose Sally was so memory laden today? Eh?)

Later, Thorne arrived at the cabin. He found a very romantic scene with flowers and candles. Macy appeared from the bedroom (?) wearing a white sundress. She had even curled her hair extensions. Thorne began to protest the romantic setting, but Macy stopped him. She said she knew why he was there but she had a surprise for him that he would never forget.

Dun Dun Duh! (Such drama! What surprise does Macy have planned? Let's hope she didn't save any urine for any purposes at all.)
