As they chatted in Stephanie's office, La Forrester asked Eric if he had heard from Ridge in Paris. Eric said Ridge and Morgan were very busy re-creating the entire collection and were probably too busy to call. Stephanie thought Brooke was up to something sending Ridge's ex-flame, Morgan, with him to Europe. Eric was confident whatever Morgan and Ridge had shared in the past was long over. Stephanie, of course, wasn't so sure.

Ridge was stunned to learn that Morgan had aborted his baby and never consulted him about the matter. Morgan explained that she gone to Stephanie and told her about the situation. Stephanie had been angry but offered to help Morgan out of the problem. Morgan had considered telling Ridge of their love child but Stephanie convinced her to try and get a feeling of how Ridge felt about having kids. Morgan took the advice and asked Ridge if he wanted to have children. His response of not positive. Morgan went back to Stephanie who arranged and paid for the abortion. Morgan cried that she had not wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but she was too confused to fight Stephanie's wishes. Stephanie had sent her back home after the abortion. That's why Ridge could never find her. (He never thought to call her parents in his search for his true love? Exactly how dense is Ridge?) Morgan apologized for destroying their dream and destroying their baby. Morgan said she had loved Ridge. Lying to him and leaving was the biggest mistake of her life.

Ridge was incensed at Morgan's story. He immediately called his mother's office and found her there alone. Ridge told Stephanie that Morgan had told him the entire story of Morgan's pregnancy and Stephanie's involvement in the subsequent abortion. Stephanie told her son he should return home right away so they could talk about it. Ridge screamed that he and Morgan would finish their work in Paris and then return to Los Angeles…..and Stephanie would be lucky if he ever spoke to her again! (That Ridge. He just gives me the shudders when he's so forceful. Sigh.)

The fabulous dinner party continued at Sally's apartment. (I just have one question. Where did that huge dining table come from? It wasn't there in yesterday's scene. I don't recall seeing it there before. Perhaps Darla is a master carpenter and whipped it up with a band saw while Clarke was tossing the Caesar salad. I hate how furniture appears only when they need to use it.) Sally asked Becky if she had any contact with her baby's father. Becky admitted she had not seen him since the day he learned she was pregnant. Becky explained she had looked for approval and attention from men in the past. When she got pregnant, she realized she had to find those things in herself. Sally understood and was impressed as Becky said she had taken control of her own life. Becky now had a good job and planned to work her way up the corporate ladder and might even someday run Forrester Creations. (Nice goal, kid - except you're going to be pushing up daises fairly soon.) Becky and Sally agreed they had a lot in common - mainly, they both loved their sons. Becky promised she would not hold CJ back in any way. In fact, if CJ didn't make a success of his life, Becky wouldn't want to be hanging around him anyway. Clarke told CJ that Becky was a real sweetheart. (Ah, shucks, Clarke. You gonna make Becky blush.)

At that very moment, Amber walked into the oncologist's office pretending to be Becky. (Why would she do that, you may ask. That is a good question, dear reader. I suppose it somehow furthers the storyline by letting us, the viewer, know what is going on while leaving the hapless, second-string heroine, Becky, in the dark about her own, dismal fate. Or maybe it's just another stupid, meaningless, detail that would never happen in real life.) Dr. Russell explained Becky's X-rays had shown a growth near her pancreas. A biopsy would be required to determine if the tumor was malignant. Amber (pretending to be Becky) asked if pancreatic cancer was serious. Although the doctor urged Amber (pretending to be Becky) not to worry, Amber (pretending to be Becky) asked what her chances of recovery would be. Dr. Russell said the mortality rate of pancreatic cancer was very high.

Amber (not pretending to be anyone) returned to the seedy apartment and stood in the dark kitchen. Amber stayed hidden in the shadows as CJ brought Becky home. Becky and CJ kissed at the front door and professed true love to each . Becky, not noticing Amber in the kitchen, skipped to her bedroom when CJ left. Amber cried in the dark.

Now that was a real downer.

The earth has rotated and brought a new day to the sleepy burg of Los Angeles.

Brooke, the CEO of Forrester Creations, sorted fabric samples in Thorne's office. (Don't they have any other employees at that place?) As she spotted some white lace, she remembered dancing with Thorne in the dress he had purchased in Venice. (I suppose I should make it clear that Brooke was wearing the dress, not Thorne - although that would make a dandy video capture.) Thorne arrived and Brooke wanted to leave quickly. She explained she intended to honor his marriage. He, therefore, needed to honor her privacy. She just couldn't spend too much time with him. Thorne explained Macy was coming to invite Brooke to a family dinner that evening. Brooke freaked and told Thorne she didn't want to eat with them or even see Macy. It was too late to stop the ball from rolling, though. Macy arrived at Thorne's office with her long, luxurious hair extensions and asked to speak to Brooke alone.

Macy told Brooke she had no problem with her husband working with Brooke. Macy also revealed that she was aware Brooke was not over Thorne. But Macy explained her marriage was very solid and nothing could change that. Macy advised Brooke to accept reality and move on with her life without Thorne. Macy then invited Brooke to a barbecue that evening. The entire Forrester family would be there and Macy thought it would be a good chance for Brooke and her to start fresh. Brooke vehemently declined the invitation and told Macy the situation was not easy for her. Brooke said she was not made of stone and it hurt to see the man she had loved with another woman. Macy apologized for being insensitive. She assumed Brooke had progressed further than she had. Macy told Brooke to stop by if she liked and left.

Thorne returned to his office and found Brooke at his desk with her head in her hands. Brooke told Thorne that Macy obviously had no idea how much Thorne and Brooke truly cared for each other. (The actual term is "clueless", Brooke.) Thorne took pity on Brooke and comforted her with a hug.

At Spectra Fashions, Sally apologized to CJ for being so quick to judge Becky. Sally thought Becky was a very intelligent woman and had the utmost respect for her. CJ babbled on and on about how much he loved Becky. He thought the qualities he liked most in Becky were the best qualities of his mother. Sally encouraged her son to enjoy his relationship with Becky. He may have found the love of a lifetime. (Oops! Too bad her lifetime is going to be so short.)

At the seedy apartment, Amber pondered how she would be able to tell Becky about the possibility of her cancer. Becky came into the room and said she was so happy even though she was extremely tired. (Bad sign, very bad sign.) Amber wanted to talk to Becky. Becky assumed it was about her being gone so much of the time and leaving Amber to care for Little Eric. Amber assured her cousin she was happy Becky had found such happiness with CJ. As she munched on a doughnut, Becky asked if her doctor had called. Amber affirmed he had telephoned and wanted her to return for additional tests. Becky was upset Amber had made an appointment for her. She had planned to meet CJ before work. Amber tried to persuade Becky to keep the appointment so she could be healthy for her son and CJ. Amber said the doctor wanted to perform a CT scan and a biopsy. Becky asked for an English translation. Amber (is she a med student now?) explained the scan was like an x-ray and a biopsy removed tissue with a small needle. (Oh, come on! Who is so stupid they don't know what a biopsy is?) Apparently Becky is. Other than the prospect of a needle, she didn't seem too concerned about the procedure at all.

Rick entered the Forrester photography studio and spied a sexy Kimberly pulling up her panty hose. (That's hot?) He approached the lovely lass and began kissing her and reached for her zipper. Kimberly stopped him. Rick asked how long he would have to wait. He wanted to make love to her. He was not a high school kid. Kimberly sarcastically said she had forgotten Rick was used to sleeping with Amber. Kimberly instructed Rick to go visit Amber if he was so horny. Rick let it slip that he had seen Amber and she was not who he wanted. When Kimberly blew a gasket about Rick seeing Amber, Rick guessed she was jealous of his ex-wife. Kimberly suggested they enjoy each other without having sex. As they started some heavy petting (hey, that's what it looked like to me), Macy entered the photo studio and interrupted the teens' good time. Rick excused himself when Macy called him "Casanova." Macy invited Kimberly to her barbecue that evening and asked how it was going with Rick. Kimberly said she felt guilty not giving Rick what he wanted. Macy told her sister to hold fast to her beliefs and not let her hormones guide her decision.

In Brooke's office, Megan arranged for some male models to wear some men's lingerie to cheer Brooke up. It worked (sure cheered me up) and Brooke thanked Megan and the pieces of meat, I mean male models. (Please note my special edition of video captures today featuring nothing but gratuitous, partial male nudity.) Rick entered Brooke's office later as he was looking for Becky. He had a new photo of Little Eric to give her. Brooke was pleased Rick and Becky had worked out a plan for him to visit Little Eric. Rick was impressed with what a great mother Becky was. He was certain she would be

a part of the Forrester family for a "long time to come." (Yeah, right. I give her a month.)

Speaking of which, Amber and Becky waited at the hospital for Becky's tests to begin. Becky worried but Amber assured her everything would be fine. When the tests were completed, Becky wanted to go home and rest. Back at the seedy apartment, Becky told Amber how much she hated hospitals. When it came time for her to die, Becky said she wanted to go peacefully in her own bed. Becky didn't fear death, she wanted to be remembered for embracing life. Amber stopped Becky from talking about death . She thought it was morbid. Amber reminded Becky of all the wonderful things in her life. Becky agreed her life was perfect and looked forward to planning her son's future with CJ by her side. Feeling tired, Becky went to take a nap.

Alone in the living room, Amber took another call from Dr. Russell and pretended to be Becky. The doctor said he had the biopsy results and wanted her (Becky) to come in to talk to him. Amber (pretending to be Becky) made an appointment for that evening. Amber tried to make herself believe Becky was perfectly healthy. (In your dreams, baby.)

At Spectra Fashions, CJ continued to tease his mother about mis-judging Becky. Sally agreed that Becky was a fabulous young woman. CJ said he had a big surprise planned for Becky that night. He showed his mother a pair of diamond earrings he planned to give Becky as they dined at the Café Ruse. Clarke appeared with a tuxedo for CJ to wear. Sally was concerned that CJ was spending too much of his hard-earned money on extravagance. CJ said all he wanted to do was make Becky smile. Sally was concerned that Becky might have an appropriate dress for the evening. Clarke and CJ smiled. They had taken care of that detail as well. (Can I ask a question? How do these male fashion designers make all these surprise gowns for their lady loves without ever having a fitting? The dress appears and it's a perfect fit every time. I just don't think so.)

At the seedy apartment, Amber played telephone with Little Eric. She pretended the doctor called and told her Becky was perfectly healthy as Becky arrived home early from work. She was so tired, Brooke had sent her home early. Becky was so weak she couldn't even lift her son from the floor. (I'm telling you, she is not long for this world.) Amber offered to make them some tea, but Becky had fallen asleep on the couch before the water could boil. CJ called and Amber didn't want to wake Becky, but she had heard the phone ring. As Becky chatted with CJ, Amber encouraged her cousin to stay home and rest that evening. CJ said he had a big evening planned. There was a knock on the door. Amber answered it and found a delivery man with a Spectra garment bag. The cousins opened the bag to find a beautiful gown. Becky was so thrilled she agreed to anything CJ had planned. As Becky tried on the dress, Amber took yet another call from Becky's doctor and , pretending to be Becky, agreed to meet the doctor that evening.

CJ arrived just as Becky finished getting ready. She felt like a princess in the Spectra gown. CJ brought a gift for Little Eric and told Becky he was taking her to Café Ruse. (Like it's a surprise, for gosh sakes! It's the only fancy restaurant in Los Angeles, you know.) CJ whisked Becky off as Amber prepared to take Little Eric to a sitter so she could keep Becky's doctor appointment.

On the deck of his beach bungalow, a sweaty, shirtless Thorne (is there any other kind?) prepared the grill for the family barbecue. Macy arrived and got all hot and twitchy at the sight of her hunky husband. She saddled up to Thorne and put the moves on him. Thorne protested that his charcoal-dusted hands would get Macy very dirty. Macy grabbed his hands and smeared her heaving bosom with his filthy hands. They tumbled to that huge chaise lounge from Home Depot and got jiggy wid it. During afterglow, Thorne told Macy that she was good for him - not like brussel sprouts as Macy indicated, but like a relaxing vacation. Thorne told his wife that, with her, he knew where he was headed; he knew who he was.

Thorne and Macy changed clothes and greeted Sally and Clarke, their first guests. As the men folk took the raw animal carcass to the deck, Sally asked if they had interrupted anything. Macy denied the notion, but Sally pointed to the charcoal dust still on Macy's decoutage. (Eew! Didn't they shower after doing "it"? That's just gross.) Macy inquired where CJ was. Sally explained that CJ had taken his girlfriend to the Café Ruse. Obviously, both her children were very much in love.

CJ and Becky arrived at the Café Ruse. As they waited for their table, Becky thanked CJ for treating her to such an elegant evening. She was thrilled because no one had ever done anything so nice for her. CJ countered by saying no one had ever made him feel like Becky had. They gently kissed. (Right at the maitred' station. Now that's just tacky.)

At the all night cancer detection center across town, Amber (pretending to be Becky) waited for Dr. Russell in his office. She spotted Becky's medical chart folder on his desk. She wanted to take a look but was stopped by the closing credits.

Episode Date: Friday, April 7, 2000

Thorne and Macy's barbecue party was in full swing when Kimberly and Rick arrived. (Kimberly was wearing a tiny bikini top. What happened to all her sweater sets?) Eric explained that Stephanie could not attend because she was visiting a friend in the hospital. Sally was sorry because she knew Stephanie would be happiest of all to see Macy and Thorne so happy together. Sally exclaimed this party would probably be the closest the family would get to a wedding reception for the newlyweds.

Later, Thorne found Sally alone. He realized she was missing Adam. Thorne asked if he could help in any way. Sally told him seeing her daughter, Macy, so happy with him was all the medicine she needed for her broken heart.

Eric helped Macy with the tough task of pouring lemonade. Eric was pleased that his son was so happy with Macy. Eric attributed all the good things in Thorne's life to Macy. Macy said they had some rough times, but she had always been confident they would find their way back to each other.

Rick lured Kimberly into the bedroom. Kimberly was apprehensive about someone finding them, but Rick was excited about the "danger" of the situation. At the party, Eric received a phone call from Ridge in Paris. Macy suggested he would have more privacy in the bedroom. Eric walked in on Kimberly and Rick making out on the bed. Kimberly was embarrassed as the teens scurried from the room.

Eric picked up the telephone and asked Ridge how things were going in Paris. Ridge said things were complicated and he wanted to speak to Stephanie. Eric asked what was going on between Ridge and Stephanie. Eric said Stephanie had been upset after her last conversation with Ridge. Eric reminded Ridge of how delicate Stephanie's condition still was. Ridge was aware, he told his father. He had done everything in Venice for his mother's sake. (Eric and Ridge did not know that Macy had picked up the phone in the living room to hang up the extension, but was startled by the conversation and listened in.) Ridge said he had no way of knowing Macy would show up in Venice. Eric agreed but said "If you hadn't done what you did, Thorne never would have proposed to Macy." Macy was in shock to hear that news. (How confident are you now, big gal?)

At the Café Ruse, Becky pretended she knew enough French to translate the menu. She teased CJ by telling him they served pigs knuckles and frog hearts. (Hey, I rather like a frog heart if it is prepared properly.) CJ said Sally had taken him to Café Ruse as a youngster to teach him etiquette. Becky wanted to know what other secrets CJ had in his past. The waiter brought the first course and placed a jewelry box in front of a stunned Becky. She was blown away by the beautiful earrings. CJ said he had to buy them because they sparkled just like Becky's eyes. (That one sent me scurrying to the bathroom.) Becky teared up as she said she had never had anything like that before….and she was talking about CJ, not the jewelry.

Unfortunately, over at the medical clinic that never closes, Amber wasn't enjoying herself as much. Dr. Russell arrived and confirmed that Becky did indeed have pancreatic cancer. Amber (pretending to be Becky) wigged out and insisted on a second opinion. Dr. Russell didn't blame her, but said the cancer had spread to her stomach and other organs. She was in advanced stage four of the disease. It was too late to try any treatments. They could give her drugs to help the pain, but not much else. Amber (pretending to be Becky) asked how much time she had. The doctor said she had about six months to live. Amber (pretending to be Becky) wept. Dr. Russell asked if he could call a friend or family member. Amber (pretending to be Becky) wailed that her cousin was her best friend. She had to be the one to tell her. (You figure out the pronouns.) Amber collapsed in the doctor's arms.

Episode Date: Monday, April 10, 2000

Amber cried to Dr. Russell that it wasn't fair she (actually Becky) had cancer. The doctor suggested Becky (actually Amber) see a counselor that specialized in terminal patients. Amber cried that she didn't want to talk about the disease anymore as Dr. Russell wrote a couple of prescriptions for Becky (but it's really Amber). He suggested Becky (pretending to be Kimberly dressed up as Amber….oh, I'm so confused.) make preparations for her son's care after she was gone. Amber (Becky? Sally? Tawny? Felicia?) wailed Little Eric didn't need preparations, he needed his mother.

At the Café Ruse, Becky donned the earrings CJ had given her. She was concerned Sally would be upset CJ had spent so much money on her. CJ explained that his mother was aware of the gift and approved of his relationship with Becky. He said he would do anything to make Becky happy. They shared their feelings of love and wiggle to a slow dance. (Fortunately, the Café Ruse doesn't play disco, so CJ won't be performing his world famous Russian squat kicks.) Amber arrived at the restaurant in tears. (Why? Now that's a good question.) She sobbed as she spied CJ and Becky loving each other on the dance floor. Becky saw Amber and was worried something was wrong with Little Eric. Amber lied that she had forgotten her paycheck and had simply come to pick it up. She explained her tears as those of happiness for Becky's good fortune. Becky trotted back to her table to enjoy dessert and CJ. (Perhaps they will be the same thing.)

Brooke arrived home and told her sister, Katie, she was not going to attend the barbecue at Thorne and Macy's place. Brooke said Macy must be very confident in her relationship with Thorne to have invited her. It was obvious to Brooke that Thorne was committed to Macy. Brooke thought his marriage to Macy might just work. Katie didn't see how it could work if Thorne still loved Brooke. Katie suspected Macy was in the dark about the depth of Thorne's feelings for Brooke. She suggested Brooke tell Macy the truth about Thorne's proposal in Venice. Brooke said she would not tell Macy the truth. She respected Thorne's decision and had to move on with her life. (They mentioned Bridgette three time in the conversation. Of course, she was studying at a friend's house. I suspect she'll be twenty-three the next time we see her.)

But over at the beach bungalow, Macy was getting an earful. She listened in on Eric and Ridge's telephone conversation. Eric told Ridge he did not think Thorne's marriage to Macy was just a rebound thing. It appeared that Thorne truly loved Macy and it was apparent that Macy loved Thorne more than Brooke ever could. In fact, Eric felt Thorne should thank Ridge for what Ridge had done in Venice. Eric said Thorne made the right decision - even if it was for the wrong reason. Macy was dazed and confused as she tried to hide the telephone from Eric as he passed through the living room to the deck.

Outside, the party continued. Macy stumbled onto the deck and Sally sensed something was amiss. (Astute. That's the word I always use to describe Sally.) As Thorne went inside to retrieve more beer, Sally hinted to Clarke that it was time to leave. Eric followed suit. Thorne came out to find everyone had left. Macy asked if Thorne was angry at his father. Thorne avoided the question by saying Eric got on his nerves sometimes. Macy started to speak, but was interrupted by Rick and Kimberly walking up from the beach. (Oh, yeah, I forgotten they were even in attendance.) When they learned everyone else had left, Rick said they should get going, too. Macy stopped their departure by asking if Kimberly could help her clean up in the kitchen.

Inside, Macy was so distraught, she dropped a glass. Kimberly asked if something was wrong. (Astute. That's the word I always use to describe Kimberly.) Macy said she had eavesdropped on Eric's conversation. Macy wasn't sure what he and Ridge had been talking about, but Eric was certain if Ridge hadn't done what he had done in Venice, Thorne would not have married Macy.

Kimberly was agog as a single tear flowed from each of Macy's eyes.

Episode Date: Tuesday, April 11, 2000

Thorne and Rick cleaned the deck after the barbecue. Thorne could tell Rick was ready to "get it on" with Kimberly and reassured his younger half-brother it was natural to have such desires. Thorne advised Rick to respect Kimberly's wishes. When Thorne asked how Brooke was doing, Rick figured she must be lonely now that her best friend, Thorne, had gotten married. Rick said Thorne had been a good influence in his mother's life.

Inside the bungalow, Macy hypothesized that Brooke and Thorne must have been more involved than Macy had originally thought. After hearing Eric and Ridge talk on the phone, Macy deduced she must have been Thorne's second choice. She remembered he had been upset and quiet when she talked to him in Venice. Kimberly told Macy she was wrong. Thorne had chosen to marry Macy. It may have been impulsive, but he had convinced Macy of how much he loved her. Eric and Ridge weren't in Amsterdam, they didn't hear what Thorne said to Macy there. Macy considered her sister's words and realized she was correct. Brooke was not a problem in her marriage. Kimberly asked her sister if Thorne had done anything to make her think he was not totally in love with her. Macy was sure he had not, but was shaken to realize Thorne had not vocally professed his love to her lately.

On cue, Thorne and Rick came inside complaining of the cold. (and Kimberly in that tiny halter top. Whatever will she do?) Macy ran to Thorne and hugged him tightly. Thorne was surprised by her actions and asked why she was so demonstrative. Macy told her husband she loved him. Thorne said he loved her to. Macy smiled with relief to here those four (or however many words were in that line) little words. Kimberly was pleased she had given such great advice - and only a college freshman.

At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie was worried about Morgan being with Ridge in Paris. Eric couldn't figure out why Stephanie was so bent out of shape. He had worked with Morgan and was ready to give her the benefit of the doubt. Stephanie said Morgan was no good for their company. Eric figured out Stephanie was more concerned with Morgan's influence on Ridge than her work at Forrester Creations. Stephanie couldn't figure out why Morgan had returned to Los Angeles but was certain Morgan was ambitious and cunning. She urged her husband not to underestimate Miss DeWitt. Stephanie feared Morgan was unstable.

Over in the Paris hotel suite, Ridge and Morgan discussed the past. Ridge could not believe his mother had kept Morgan's pregnancy a secret from him. Morgan said she had believed Stephanie was trying to help her those many years ago, but now knew La Forrester didn't care about her at all. Morgan explained that when she left Los Angeles she returned to her deeply religious family and could not confide her secret to them. She had suffered two nervous breakdowns, eating disorders and depression since the abortion. To this day, Morgan wondered what their child would have been like. She told Ridge she hadn't meant to bother him with this information, but it had been hard to keep this secret for so many years. She now felt as if a burden had been lifted from her shoulders. Morgan was impressed by Ridge's compassion and understanding. She told him he would have made a good father to their child.

After Ridge left for Forrester International, Stephanie called the suite looking for him and was shocked to hear Morgan answer the phone. Morgan told her nemesis Ridge wouldn't have wanted to talk to her anyway. Stephanie asked if Morgan planned revenge on her by turning Ridge against his mother. Morgan insisted she hadn't intended to tell anyone, but Ridge had forced her to tell the truth. Stephanie informed Morgan that Ridge was now happily married and there was no reason for Morgan to return to LA. Morgan retorted that she was calling the shots now. She was no longer under Stephanie's control. "You made a big mistake and now you're going to pay" were Morgan's closing words.

Sorry, dear readers, other than Macy tossing her long, luxurious hair extensions, and Kimberly trying to keep her arm flailing in check, it wasn't a very funny day.

Episode Date: Wednesday, April 12, 2000

Morgan and Ridge boarded the Forrester jet for Los Angeles. Ridge was concerned about Morgan having to face Stephanie. Morgan said she didn't need Ridge to protect her from his mother. She felt stronger now that she had revealed her secret to Ridge. In fact, she was looking forward to returning to LA. Morgan decided fatherhood suited Ridge very well. She told him she found a man that loved his children very appealing. Ridge shared photos of his children with Morgan. She enjoyed the tedious snap shots and said she had never given much thought to her own happiness. Morgan told Ridge she had dreaded spending time with him but having shared their past had helped her a lot. Morgan said spending time with Ridge made her feel that anything was possible for her. Ridge agreed that Morgan could have anything she wanted - even if that meant a mini van and PTA meetings. (For my dear readers in countries other than the USA, PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. Parents of school children attend such meetings to become active in the education of their kids. Mini vans are often the motor vehicle of choice of suburban families with children to cart around. Thus, it would seem incongruous for a hot, fashion designer to settle for the life of a suburban mother, but Ridge thought Morgan could obtain that goal if she so desired.)

Taylor paid Stephanie a visit at the Forrester mansion. Taylor was excited that Ridge was returning from Paris. Stephanie was a wet blanket and told her daughter-in-law to be on the look out for Morgan. Stephanie said she felt Morgan may regret leaving Ridge all those years ago. Taylor replied that Brooke had said the same thing. Taylor explained she had no reason to distrust Morgan. Even if Morgan was up to something, Taylor was totally secure in her relationship with Ridge. Taylor assured Stephanie there as nothing to worry about. She asked if Stephanie knew additional information that Taylor should be aware of. Stephanie would only say that she knew Morgan was malicious and cunning. Taylor replied that surely Morgan had changed from the time she was 17. Taylor reminded Stephanie that she was a psychiatrist (Oh yeah, that's right) and she read people for a living. She was aware of a deep sadness within Morgan. As she left, Taylor said Morgan might be troubled, but she would certainly cause no trouble for her and Ridge.

At the seedy apartment, Amber placed Becky's medications with fruit in a blender and made them into a "smoothie" for her cousin to drink. Amber lied that a friend at work had given her the recipe for a "health shake" that would make Becky feel better. Amber convinced Becky to drink all of it. Before she left for work, Becky asked if her doctor had called with her test results. Amber said he had called and that EVERYTHING WAS ALL RIGHT! Becky said she was relieved to know she wasn't dying. Amber told her cousin not to joke about such things. She was certainly NOT DYING! Becky left Little Eric with Amber and went to work.

At Forrester Creations, Becky collapsed in front of Megan's desk and was in such pain she could hardly stand up. Megan was worried but Becky insisted everything was OK.

Alone in the seedy apartment, Amber wondered if she should have lied about Becky's condition. (Duh! That a really stupid question. What are you thinking, Amber?) Amber decided she needed advice. She picked up the phone and called Stephanie! (Now even Mr. Smartypants didn't see that one coming.) Even though Amber begged for Stephanie's help, La Forrester told Amber she didn't want to listen to anything she might have to say and hung up the phone.

Not one to be deterred, Amber showed up at Stephanie's front door. Stephanie again told Amber there was nothing she wanted to hear from Amber. Amber said she needed advice. The matriarch thought perhaps Amber had gotten into trouble and needed help. Amber said it was about Becky. Stephanie replied that Becky knew she could come talk to Stephanie anytime she needed to and started to slam the door.

"She has cancer!" Amber blurted. Stephanie stared at her ex-step-daughter-in-law in shock and disbelief.

I think this is going to get good, but how on earth does Amber think she's going to keep Becky's illness a secret from Becky for very long? It's ridiculous! It's ludicrous! It's the Bold and the Beautiful!

Episode Date: Thursday, April 13, 2000

Ridge surprised the kids with gifts from Paris. (A soccer ball for Thomas and pink berets for the twins. Wasn't that sweet?) Taylor and Ridge discussed how much they missed each other. Taylor asked if everything went well in Paris and Ridge replied that he and Morgan worked well together. Taylor told Ridge that his mother assumed that Morgan was after Ridge. When Taylor asked if Ridge got that impression, he answered that Morgan did have some issues from her past that she needed to deal with but they did not involve Ridge or Taylor. Taylor said she believed her husband but Brooke had tried to make her jealous. They agreed their marriage was solid and there was no reason for either to be insecure. Although they wanted to "party" upstairs in the bedroom, Ridge had to return to work. To share more quality time, Taylor and the kids went with him.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke was very impressed when Morgan showed her the designs from Paris. Brooke asked if Morgan had any problems working with Ridge. Morgan said they had worked well together. Brooke was curious what had happened to change Morgan's mind. Brooke reminded the designer that she had not wanted to go to Paris alone with Ridge. Now she seemed to have enjoyed the trip. Morgan said Brooke's questions were too personal. Brooke kept digging away hoping to scoop up a shovel full of hot tidbits. Brooke goaded Morgan by telling her she knew Ridge was hard to forget and how they had shared a room and how they had been lovers years ago and how small the jet was and how romantic Paris was…..yada, yada, yada. Morgan got miffed and told Brooke that Ridge was a happily married man who loved his children and it didn't matter how she (Morgan) might feel about him. Brooke was pleased to learn that Morgan admitted she had feelings for Ridge. Morgan said she felt respect for him. (The two women didn't realize Ridge was listening at the door.) He hid as Morgan told Brooke the conversation was over and left the office.

Ridge then entered Brooke's office. She continued her persistent game of cat and mouse. She told Ridge that he and Morgan had a very good team. Ridge said he never disliked Morgan, he only resented the reason Brooke had hired her. Brooke guessed that Morgan had the hots for Ridge. Ridge was doubtful as Brooke explained Morgan was irritated whenever Brooke mentioned Ridge's name. According to Brooke, that either meant Morgan hated Ridge or she had a thing for him. That Brooke is returning to her trouble-making ways. I say it's about time.

As Morgan walked by Ridge's office, she saw Taylor with the children inside. Morgan thought aloud what a great life Taylor must have. (Yeah, three screaming children. Great life.) Morgan lamented it could have been her life.

Becky helped Thorne with some fabric samples in his office. (Now remind me again exactly what it is that Thorne does around Forrester.) When she reached for a notebook, Becky nearly doubled over in pain. Thorne was concerned but Becky said it must be indigestion. Thorne told Becky everyone at Forrester liked her and enjoyed her hard-working attitude. He just wanted to make sure she was all right. Becky thanked Thorne for the compliments and said she was the happiest she had ever been. She had a great job, a great son and a great boyfriend. (Oh, honey, don't forget to mention a tumor the size of Cleveland in your belly.)

A stunned Stephanie agreed to let Amber enter her house. Amber explained she had not yet told Becky of her diagnosis. Amber told how she had gone to the doctor and pretended to be Becky and got the sad news. Stephanie insisted Becky be told the truth. She needed to take treatments and plan for her son's future. Amber said it was too late for surgery or treatment. Becky had only a few months to live. Amber didn't want that precious time she had left to be full of worry. Amber said she knew what it was like to worry all the time about the future. She didn't want Becky, who had finally got some good luck in her life, to spend her last days upset. Amber cried that it wasn't fair. Amber cried for herself. Becky was all she had left. Stephanie's heart melted and she held Amber to comfort her.

Brooke plied Ridge for information about him and Morgan in her office. She said the two designers obviously had chemistry. Morgan had been adamant about not spending time with Ridge and now they were getting along. Brooke wanted to know why they didn't get all the designs done. She knew Ridge and Morgan shared a suite. Brooke thought she had a right to know what was going on between her two top designers. Ridge explained the suite was the only room available and they didn't finish all the designs because there was simply too much work to do. He instructed Brooke to stop gossiping. That made Brooke believe there was gossip to spread. After Ridge told the CEO it was none of her business, Brooke was more certain than ever that something was up. As Ridge left the office, he explained what was between him and Morgan was none of Brooke's business. Ridge instructed her never to ask him about it again. After he left, wily Brooke stood in the door and squinted. (Now that's the Brooke we know and love.)

In Ridge's office, Taylor walked in on Morgan staring at a Forrester family photo. Taylor asked how the Paris trip went. Morgan said she had an epiphany in Europe. She and Ridge had talked a great deal. Morgan realized Ridge had matured and grown since she had first known him. Morgan realized her life was empty and shallow. She wanted to have a child to make her life complete. Taylor suggested Morgan look for a man. (That's really sexist advice, DOCTOR Forrester.) Moran said she had dated and was afraid Mr. Right was not in the cards for her. She was miserable and wanted a baby to make her complete. Morgan told Taylor she didn't want to adopt. She wanted to carry a baby and give birth. Morgan insisted she was going to do this and begged Taylor to help her. Taylor said both she and Ridge would be there for her. (Where is this headed? Next thing you know, Morgan will ask Ridge for a sperm sample. Hey, maybe that's it. If he says no, I hear David Crosby is a stud for hire.)

Becky continued to hide her pain from Thorne as they worked in his office. Becky had even taken the initiative to sort some fabric samples. Thorne was thrilled with her work and suggested they might someday be related. (Remember, Macy and CJ are half sister and brother.) Becky giggled at the idea of marrying CJ. Thorne asked Becky to take the fabric swatches to Stephanie's house - and then take the rest of the day off. (Now what on earth would Stephanie need fabric samples for? Is she making a quilt?)

Over at Casa Forrester, Amber cried as she asked Stephanie to keep quiet about Becky's deadly disease. (Here's my question. If Amber didn't really want Stephanie's advice and now she's afraid La Forrester will spill the cancer beans….. why did go over there at all?) Amber argued that Becky's life would be over once she found out she was dying. Stephanie countered that when a person learns they are dying, their priorities change. Becky would look at life in a different way. Amber said Becky was too happy to be told. CJ had made such a difference in her cousin's life. Becky was in pain a great deal of the time, but didn't realize it because of her joy.

Well, what do you know? Becky showed up at the front door with the bag of fabric scraps. (It appeared Stephanie tossed them aside as soon as she took them.) Becky inquired about Stephanie's health. She wanted to make sure a woman as wonderful as Stephanie would be in her son's life for a long time. When the matriarch invited her in, Becky was shocked to see Amber there. Amber explained she had come to talk to Stephanie who assured Becky they had worked out their problems. Becky was ecstatic to hear that news. She picked up her son and was overjoyed Amber and Stephanie had made up. This really put her happiness over the top. Stephanie explained she knew it would happen in time. Becky then gave an ironic speech about how important it was not to let time slip away. She had learned every moment was precious. Stephanie hugged Becky and turned a tearful look to Amber.

Omigawd, this is so fabulous! I can't wait to see the quilt Stephanie makes.

Episode Date: Monday, April 17, 2000

At the Forrester chateau, Becky was so happy that Amber and Stephanie had made amends she wanted to celebrate. Both Amber and Stephanie suggested she go home and rest instead. Becky suggested something was up thought perhaps the duo had not buried the hatchet after all. She gave a lengthy speech about how holding a grudge only hurts the grudge holder. She was only 19 (19!?) but she was the happiest she had ever been. CJ had taught her how to forgive. (Did I miss an episode? Exactly how did he teach her to forgive? What's that all about?) Becky admitted what Amber had done to the Forrester family was wrong, but she was the best friend and cousin in the world. Stephanie reassured Becky that she had forgiven Amber, but she was concerned that Becky was pushing herself too hard. Stephanie insisted that Becky take a paid leave of absence from Forrester Creations until she was feeling better. Becky thanked Stephanie for her kindness and left.

Alone with Stephanie, Amber asked how she could make the last months of her cousin's life as pleasant as possible. Amber wished it had been her that developed cancer instead of Becky. Stephanie complimented Amber on her exceptional love and care for her cousin. La Forrester said Becky was lucky to have a cousin that cared for her so much.

Taylor started to help Morgan with her baby project by suggesting she join the Country Club to find a hot, handsome husband. Morgan declared she wanted a baby, not a husband. She supposed she would just wander into a bar and find some guy to impregnate her. (Yeah, that's a real good idea, Miss DeWitt.) Taylor said there was a better way to get pregnant than picking up a stranger. (That Taylor. She's always the voice of reason.) Taylor explained that a sperm bank might be the way to go. (Oh, Lordy! I could just see the explanation coming on.) As Morgan acted as if she'd never heard of a sperm bank in her life (I thought she was supposedly so sophisticated) Taylor told her that one can go into the bank and pick the qualities you want from the "father." She went on to say how safe the banks are. (They test for HIV, hepatitis and all sexually transmitted diseases. That's your public service announcement for today, class.) As she hurried out for an appointment, Taylor said she would help Morgan in her quest, but was certain Mr. Right was out there for her friend. Alone in Ridge's office, Morgan acknowledged Mr. Right did exist for her. Unfortunately, he was married to Taylor. Oh oh.

Thorne arrived home as Macy was unpacking groceries. She planned to make him duck for dinner. (Mmm, mom, my favorite!) Thorne had to return to work, but promised he'd be home by 7:00. Thorne returned to Brooke's office where a large shipment of some stuff had been delivered. It all had to be "catalogued and sorted" by the next day. Thorne and Brooke agreed they had their work cut out for them. (Now just wait a cotton-pickin' minute. They want Mr. Smartypants to believe the CEO of an international conglomerate and the founder's son are going to sort through bolts of fabric and tag cheesy cocktail dresses? I have news for you Brooke. You can hire someone to do such menial labor. Learn to delegate, honey. Maybe then you can track down that daughter of yours.) As 7:00 neared, Brooke volunteered to finish the task without Thorne so he could go home to dinner.

Back at the beach bungalow, Kimberly arrived to help her sister prepare dinner. Macy told Kimberly she should forget everything about the telephone conversation of Ridge and Eric that Macy overheard. Brooke was not a threat to her marriage and Macy was not going to worry about her. Macy shoved Kimberly out the door and changed out of her ill-fitting tank top that kept sliding off her shoulder the entire episode and into a cheesy cocktail dress.

As she lit the candles in preparation for Thorne's return, the telephone rang. It was Thorne calling to say he would be very late for dinner. Macy inquired if he was working alone. Thorne replied that Brooke was helping him. Macy was ticked off, but managed an "I love you" just as Thorne hung up. Macy extinguished the candles and sat dejected at the dining table we'd never seen before. Macy raised her head from her hands and noticed a bottle of wine she had purchased for Thorne for dinner.

No, no, no, Macy. Don't do it. Please don't do it. Mr. Smartypants is begging you.

Morgan entered Ridge's office with the final design revisions. They agreed they should celebrate a job well done, but both were too tired. Morgan said she had talked to Taylor earlier and told her she wanted to have a baby. At first, Ridge thought Morgan was joking. Morgan said she was serious, she had discussed artificial insemination with Taylor and neither of them could talk her out of it. Morgan explained that she had been miserable ever since she had "lost" their baby. The only thing that could make the pain stop would be to have a baby now. Morgan had seen what having children had done for Ridge and she wanted the same things in her life. Ridge countered that she was being impulsive. He thought Morgan should seriously reconsider the situation. Ridge wanted her to find the right man first. Morgan said the only man she wanted was unavailable. Ridge was the only man she wanted. Having a baby was the only thing that could help her. (Ridge made a good point in his argument with which Mr. Smartypants totally agrees. This is no reason to have a child. Children are not meant to be brought into the world to help the parents through some trauma.)

Over in Brooke's office, the CEO and Thorne rustled papers, tossed clipboards around and adjusted dresses on models all in an attempt to look busy. (What exactly are they doing? Shouldn't the designers be adjusting dresses? It's just ludicrous!) Finally, Brooke insisted Thorne go home and have dinner with Macy. Although reluctant, Thorne left after Brooke reminded him they needed to respect each other's private lives.

Giovanni passed Brooke's office and saw her alone. He entered and asked if there was anything he could do to ease her pain. He knew it must be difficult for her to work with someone she loved but know she couldn't have him. Brooke admitted it was difficult and there was nothing anyone could do to help her. She promised to respect Thorne's marriage and her word was the only integrity she had left. (After Brooke pranced around in all those tiny negligees, Mr. Smartypants would have to agreed, honey.)

At the beach bungalow, Macy moped around the dark house and cleaned the kitchen. Doubt crept into her head as she remembered the phone conversation between Ridge and Eric she had overheard. Just like in yesterday's episode….she eyed that bottle of wine. She was interrupted by Kimberly calling to ask if she had left an envelope at Macy's. Macy told her sister that Thorne had not yet come home because he was working with Brooke. Kimberly could tell Macy was upset. She offered to go over and comfort her sister, but Macy said it wasn't necessary. Kimberly assured Macy that Thorne loved her and Brooke would not be a problem. Macy hung up the phone and …..eyed that bottle of wine. Macy turned on a boom box and plopped down on a couch that looked very uncomfortable and thumbed through a travel magazine in the dark. (You're going to ruin your eyes that way, Macy.) A bad Bonnie Raitt rip-off sang "I Can't Make You Love Me" on the radio. Macy got all fidgety and turned the radio off. She prayed for Thorne to come home soon. She turned for the bedroom, but before she closed the door she…..eyed that bottle of wine.

Thorne arrived home and found a note from Macy telling him she had gone to sleep and giving him instructions on heating up his dinner in the microwave. (1 minute and 30 seconds on high. I think Thorne could figure out how to heat up leftovers in the microwave. He is an adult, after all.) Thorne decided to forgo the dinner and went to the bedroom. He saw Macy on the bed and assumed she was asleep, but she was wide awake. As he undressed (oh, another shirtless scene for Thorne, how surprising. More surprising still is that Mr. Smartypants did not get a video capture of the event. Sorry, dear readers, the scene was too dark.) Macy started to reach out for Thorne as she silently begged him to come to bed and help her forget about Brooke.

But the telephone rang. Thorne answered it quietly. It was Brooke reminding him to bring some stupid form to work the next day. She asked if Macy was glad he was home. Macy only heard Thorne's reply of "She's asleep. She'll never know." Brooke thanked Thorne for helping her complete whatever that task was they did. Macy only heard Thorne's reply of "It felt good, didn't it?" (Now that is classic soap opera.)

Thorne went to the bathroom to brush his teeth (we assume) as Macy cried in bed alone.

Next day!

Becky entered Eric's office and found him playing with her son. Becky started to pick up Little Eric, but a sharp pain caused her to stop. Eric asked if Becky had been to a doctor. She explained she had many tests performed and the doctor had told her she was fine. Becky told Eric she had not changed her son's name because she thought it would confuse him, but she would change it if Mr. Forrester wanted her to. Eric said he was proud to have Little Eric named after him. Becky thanked the patriarch and said she was glad her son had such a great role model as him. Becky left to take Little Eric home.

Stephanie arrived at the seedy apartment to visit Amber. Amber shared some literature on pancreatic cancer with Stephanie. Amber again explained how she just couldn't bring herself to ruin Becky's happy life with the news she was dying. Amber said she and Becky had not properly celebrated Little Eric's first birthday because everyone had been mad at each other at the time. Stephanie offered to have a big party at her house for the baby. Amber volunteered to stay away from the party but Stephanie insisted she come. Stephanie wanted Becky to be able look back and realize the Forrester family would unite to care for her son once she learned she was dying. Becky arrived home and was pleasantly surprised to find Stephanie there. When Amber asked how Becky was feeling, Becky explained she had some pain, but it was less than before. Stephanie said she wanted Becky to take a leave of absence from work, but Becky thought she would be OK. Becky was overjoyed to learn Stephanie was hosting a birthday party for Little Eric and that Amber would be there.

Meanwhile, Macy waited in Thorne's office and recalled Thorne's sweet nothings (or so she thought) to Brooke on the phone the night before. She told herself to "get a grip." (I say that's a good idea, girl. You've got to keep those long, luxurious hair extensions in place. Stop flipping them around so much.) Thorne arrived and was pleased to find Macy had brought him a picnic lunch. He started to chomp on a liverwurst (my guess) sandwich when he was called out of the office.

Brooke arrived looking for Thorne. She told Macy she was sorry Thorne had been working so much. Macy believed Thorne was truly working, but told Brooke she doubted Brooke was truly sorry about it. Brooke said there was no reason to be jealous. She realized Thorne was a married man. Macy pointed out, not so delicately, that marriage had never stopped Brooke from pursuing men in the past. (Touche!) Brooke took the comment in stride and said she had learned from the past and did not intend to repeat her mistakes. Brooke said she did not hate Macy or even blame her. Brooke simply had to learn to accept Thorne's decision. As Macy told Brooke she understood what she was going through, Brooke spied the box containing the wedding dress Thorne had purchased for her in Venice. Macy jabbered on and on as Brooke had flashbacks of wearing the dress and dancing with Thorne. Brooke snapped out of her memories and thanked Macy for her concern, but it wasn't necessary.

Brooke left Thorne's office and ran into that Forrester stud in the hall. She explained she had seen the dress box in his office and didn't think it was a good idea to leave Macy alone so she could find it. Thorne agreed and thanked Brooke for her astute observation.

But back in Thorne's office, Macy did indeed find the box with the Venice return label. She pulled out the packing slip and realized it was ordered the same day she had talked to Thorne in Venice. She opened the box and found what was obviously a wedding gown. She was shell shocked and rationalized it must be for a showing. She stuffed the dress back in the box and prepared to leave just as Thorne arrived.

Thorne insisted he would turn off his phone and smash his beeper so he could spend time with Macy. She was upset and wanted to leave. Thorne begged her to stay - he only had to do one thing before they could be alone. And what was that? He grabbed the box from Venice and rushed out the door with it.

Poor Macy was more confused than ever! But damn, her hair extensions looked fine.

Episode Date: Thursday, April 20, 2000

CJ and Becky (who had some wild frizzy hair going on) spoke sickeningly sweet words of love to each other in Sally's office. As they swapped spit, Sally arrived and jokingly told them it was a business office, but not for "monkey business." (I nearly split my side on that knee slapper!) CJ informed his mother that Stephanie was throwing a birthday party for Little Eric that evening and Sally was invited. Sally appreciated the invitation but could not attend because of a lame business commitment. Sally was shocked when Becky told her Amber would be at the party. After CJ and Becky left for the party, Sally told Clarke that Stephanie would not be duped by Amber again. Sally knew there was a major story behind that reconciliation.

In her dorm room, Kimberly was loaning some sorority girl we'd never seen before a skimpy yellow tank top when Amber arrived. Amber was dressed in some slutty outfit and scared the day player away. Amber told Kimberly she was there to ask a favor. Kimberly said she had no desire to speak to Amber. Amber explained that Stephanie was throwing a first birthday party for Little Eric that evening and it would mean a lot to Becky if Kimberly and Rick would attend. Kimberly was incredulous to learn Stephanie had invited Amber to her home. Kimberly didn't understand why La Forrester would do that, but she had no intention of partying with Amber. Kimberly accused Amber of using Little Eric to get close to Rick again. Amber said she was well aware Rick only had eyes for Kimberly. As Amber begged a stubborn Kimberly to come to the party, Rick arrived at the dorm room. Rick told Kimberly he was aware Amber would be at the party and he had agreed to attend anyway. Amber thanked Rick and left.

Kimberly was upset that Amber was in their life again. Rick explained that he wanted to be a part of Little Eric's life. He was not going to let Amber's presence keep him away from the baby. Kimberly was impressed with Rick's attitude and told him he was a great daddy even if he wasn't Little Eric's biological father.

Stephanie was at home preparing for the party. She called Thorne and invited Macy and him to the party. Thorne apologized and said he and Macy had previous plans that could not be changed. (I forgot to report in yesterday's episode that Macy had to attend an Alcoholic's Anonymous meeting that night where Roberta, her AA buddy, was going to receive a 60 day sobriety pin. Thorne had promised to go with her.) Stephanie urged Thorne and Macy to attend. She said it was very important. Thorne figured something more was going on than his mother was telling him, but she said she couldn't tell him over the phone.

Eric arrived home and was pleased to see balloons and decorations in the living room. He was happy his wife was throwing a party for Little Eric. He was thrown for a loop, however, when he learned Amber would be there. Stephanie explained that for the sake of the baby, they would have to put aside their differences and unite the family. Eric almost believed her until he learned Brooke had been invited too. Stephanie explained it would reassure Becky to see the whole family together for her son. Eric asked why Becky needed reassurance. Stephanie asked her husband to trust her on the matter.

Then the guests began to arrive. Thorne showed up and Stephanie noticed the tension between her younger son and husband. She didn't get a chance to investigate that sticky matter because Rick and Kimberly showed up. No sooner had they walked down that stupid step into the foyer when Amber arrived. Kimberly gave Amber the cold shoulder when Amber thanked her for coming. Kimberly made it clear they were there for Little Eric only.

Stephanie and Amber took the bountiful gifts into the living room as the other guests greeted Becky, CJ and Little Eric in the foyer. As Becky reveled in the love her son was receiving, Amber whispered to Stephanie that Becky had never had such a wonderful moment….and she'd never have it again. (Sob!) Stephanie hugged Amber to comfort her. Eric turned and witnessed the tender moment. He was truly, truly puzzled. Poor Eric, he's not all bright, is he?

Episode Date: Friday, April 21, 2000

At Spectra Fashions, Sally told Darla and Clarke that she felt Becky was good for CJ. She had a feeling they would be together for a long time. Darla was surprised to learn that Stephanie was throwing a birthday party for Little Eric and that Amber was invited. Sally could only figure that "divine intervention" had softened Stephanie heart.

At the Forrester mansion, the party got into full swing. Amber cried to Stephanie that it wasn't fair for Becky to have cancer. She wondered why God would do such a thing. Stephanie suggested Amber pull herself together so Becky wouldn't suspect anything was wrong. Amber hid in the study and told herself she had to pull herself together for Becky's sake.

Out in the living room, merriment ensued! Kimberly grabbed a Polaroid camera and snapped away. (Where's Giovanni when you need him?) When Amber returned to the soiree, Becky told her what a wonderful family the Forresters were.

Brooke arrived and gave Eric a very cold reception. When Brooke saw Amber was at the party, she insisted she was not going to stay. Stephanie begged Brooke to reconsider. La Forrester pointed out that Brooke had certainly not come to chat with her, she had obviously come for Little Eric. Stephanie pleaded with Brooke to remember that. Brooke softened a bit and lit up when she saw that hunk-a hunk-a burnin' love, Thorne, was in attendance. Thorne later complimented Brooke on her relationship with Little Eric. As Brooke giggled with delight, Kimberly managed to pull herself away from the Polaroid long enough to notice the exchange. (Hmmm…will she tattle to her sister Macy?)

Eric cornered Stephanie in the kitchen and demanded to know why she had befriended Amber. Stephanie was forced to admit that Becky was terminally ill. Before she could explain, Stephanie was called away by the caterer.

Becky was offered a snack, but turned it down. CJ was concerned that Becky had not eaten anything all day. Becky said she was excited and just not hungry. CJ excused himself. Eric returned to the party and asked Becky about her health. Becky assured the Forrester patriarch she was fine. Her doctor would have told her if anything was wrong.

CJ spoke with Stephanie and apologized for being so rude to her last summer. He had been very mean and realized he had been wrong about her. CJ thanked Stephanie for how good she had been to his sister, Macy, and Becky. Stephanie accepted CJ's apology and asked if Becky was the reason he was seeing things differently now. CJ was impressed that Becky was so wonderful after all the hard times she had lived through.

Becky then made a speech which thanked everyone for their kindness. She felt truly blessed. Stephanie thanked Becky for helping to bring her family together. Becky had taught them life was too short for unhappiness and resentment. Amber hugged her cousin as Becky cried with happiness for all the blessing she had. Amber told Becky that she deserved them all.

In the study, Stephanie confirmed to Eric that Becky did not know she was dying. She explained Becky had pancreatic cancer and it had progressed too far for any type of treatment. Stephanie said Amber had not told her so Becky could enjoy life as long as possible. Eric was shocked to hear Becky only had six months to live.

Stephanie and Eric returned as the party serenaded Little Eric with a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday." We were then treated (?) to a slow motion montage of the revelers enjoying the party. Kimberly snapped Polaroid photos. Brooke unwrapped a gift. Stephanie and Amber exchanged knowing glances. CJ kissed Becky. Becky kissed Littler Eric. It was oh so touching. It would have been more touching if the baby actor playing Little Eric wouldn't have been switched in the middle of the montage. If those actors are twins, they sure don't look much alike anymore. I half expected that after Little Eric changed appearance once during the slo-mo montage that perhaps we'd see him age to a high schooler before our very eyes. That would certainly solve Becky's problem of not seeing her child grow up. And it's not like Rick didn't age overnight. (Am I lying? I think not.)

The episode ended with a shot of all the snap shots Kimberly had taken through the evening. The camera stopped on a photo of Becky and zoomed in while sappy music played. How soap opera-y!

Episode Date: Monday, April 24, 2000

As the birthday party for Little Eric continued, Amber thanked Stephanie for throwing such a wonderful event. They were sad to realize this would probably be the only birthday the baby would ever get to spend with his mother. Both of them noticed Becky had not touched her piece of birthday cake. When Amber encouraged her cousin to eat the tasty treat, Becky politely refused. CJ jokingly asked if he could eat Becky's portion but was spooked when Amber gave him the evil eye. (What was that about?)

Amber went outside on the balcony and cried about Becky's misfortune. Eric joined her and told Amber that Stephanie had confided in him the truth about Becky's condition. Eric told Amber how sorry he was. Amber told her former father-in-law that she was confused. She wondered if she was doing the right thing by keeping the truth from her cousin. She told the patriarch Becky would not want to undergo treatments that would diminish her quality of life. Eric replied that Becky was courageous. Amber admitted that she was terrified of loosing her cousin. As Eric hugged Amber to comfort her, CJ walked onto the balcony and witnessed the tender, yet confusing scene.

Eric left the youngsters alone. CJ asked what he had just witnessed was about. CJ told Amber he knew her well enough to know she was keeping something from him. He wanted to know what was going on. Amber just stared at CJ when Becky came to the balcony to tell him they should take Little Eric home.

Back inside, Becky told the assembled guests how much she appreciated all they had done for her son. She couldn't believe they all still treated Little Eric like a member of the Forrester family. Becky was the happiest she had ever been and said she had so much to look forward to. (Oh, Becky, if you only knew how little you have to look forward to you wouldn't way such silly things.)

Off to one side, Thorne and Brooke wondered why Stephanie had made amends with Amber. Thorne then decided it was late and he should go to that Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to join Macy. He tried to call Macy again on his cell phone but got no answer. In his haste to leave the house, he left his cell phone on the coffee table.

At the AA meeting, Macy tossed her long, luxurious hair extensions from side to side as she waited for Thorne to arrive. The meeting began and Roberta, the woman Macy sponsored, received her 60 day sobriety pin. Roberta thanked Macy for always being there for her. Macy was moved by Roberta's thanks but couldn't help but wonder why Thorne had stood her up. After the meeting, Macy attempted to call Thorne on his cell phone. At the Forrester mansion, Brooke walked by the coffee table and heard the phone ringing. Not knowing to whom the phone belonged, Brooke answered it. Macy was devastated to hear Brooke answer Thorne's phone! Macy hung up her phone and wondered where Thorne was and why Brooke was answering his cell phone.

Later, Thorne rushed into the AA meeting room and found it empty. He cursed his luck for letting Macy down. Meanwhile, Macy arrived home at the beach house. She stumbled through the dark and tried to remain calm as doubts of Thorne's fidelity filled her head. She opened the refrigerator (which didn't seem to emit any light when she opened the door - how strange) and spied a couple of brewskis on the top shelf. Macy took one of the malt beverages in hand and looked at it lovingly as she fondled the bottle.

NO! Macy! Don't do it. I'll drink it for you. I'll take away that temptation. Heck, I'll drink the entire case if it will keep you from taking one sip of alcohol. (No one ever accused Mr. Smartypants of not being compassionate.)

Back at the Forrester mansion, Amber offered to stay and help Stephanie and Eric clean up. Isn't that why Maria (or Connie or whatever the heck that maid's name is now) was hired to do? CJ hung behind the other guests. It appeared he was going to ask what the trio was hiding, but he simply thanked the Forresters and left. Stephanie, Amber and Eric agreed CJ would be devastated when he learned of Becky's impending death.

Episode Date: Tuesday, April 25, 2000

The days are just clicking by at a rapid pace. The episode opened to the strains of Taylor moaning in ecstasy in Ridge's office. She murmured "That feels so good" and "Do that some more" and "Oh yes, Ridge." As the camera panned to the couch, we saw Ridge giving his wife a foot massage! Oh, those jokers! Taylor couldn't stay long because she was meeting Morgan for lunch. Morgan had only given her an address.

After Taylor left, Stephanie visited Ridge in his office. He made it clear to his mother that he didn't want to talk to her. Stephanie said she would not allow Morgan to drive a wedge between them. Ridge said he couldn't believe Stephanie had forced Morgan to have an abortion. Stephanie defended her actions by saying she did not force Morgan to do anything. She only gave her opinion and told Morgan what she thought would be the best thing to do. Ridge was shocked to hear that his mother had no regrets over the issue and would not have done anything differently if given the chance. Ridge argued that he had been adult at the time and should have been told the truth. Stephanie scoffed and reminded Ridge of his playboy ways. Morgan had wanted to marry Ridge. What would he have done if she had told him that truth? Ridge retorted that Stephanie had never cared about Morgan and had manipulated her. Ridge told his mother Morgan now wanted to have a child to make up for the "unforgivable thing" Stephanie had done to them. Ridge screamed at his mother that she had betrayed him. (Oh, get off your high horse, Ridge. Or don't you remember when you slept with your father's wife? Just a friendly reminder from Mr. Smartypants.)

Taylor located Morgan at a fertility clinic! Morgan explained she wanted Taylor to join her for her initial consultation. Taylor again tried to get Morgan to reconsider her decision, but Morgan insisted her mind was made up. (Taylor did mention that Morgan's boxes weren't yet unpacked at the beach house. I guess they did decide to reuse that tired, old set. Martha Stewart would be so proud of B&B's recycling program.) Dr. Palmer called the two women into his office for the consultation. Morgan introduced Taylor as her "friend." Dr. Palmer immediately assumed Morgan and Taylor were a lesbian couple. (Ooh. How topical.) To set the record straight (pun intended) Morgan and Taylor laughed and said they were not a couple. (Not that there would be anything wrong with that.) Dr. Palmer asked Morgan why she had chosen to have a baby. Morgan said it was personal and she'd rather not discuss it. Taylor looked dubious. The doctor told Morgan being a single mother would be difficult, but Morgan explained that she would have a fantastic support system. To herself, Morgan wondered if having a child now could ever replace the child Stephanie "stole" from her and Ridge.

At the beach bungalow, Macy informed Thorne she was staying home for a mental health day. Thorne again apologized for missing the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting the previous night. Macy flinched at his touch. Macy didn't want an apology. She wanted to know the truth about Thorne's actions the night before. Thorne explained about the party and how insistent his mother had been. Macy said she had tried to call him and Brooke answered his cell phone. Thorne explained how he had forgotten the phone at his mother's house. Macy was surprised to learn that Brooke had been invited to Stephanie's party. Thorne tried to explain that the entire family had been there. Macy felt even worse that she had been left out until she learned Ridge and Taylor had not been there either. Macy suggested Stephanie had taken "no" as an answer from them, she could have accepted it from Thorne as well. (Good point, oh thou of the long, luxurious locks.) Thorne agreed that Macy was correct. He should have skipped his mother's party and gone with Macy instead. They kissed and made up until Thorne had to leave for a meeting - with Brooke!

Macy wandered aimlessly around the house. She spied that bottle of wine again. (I suppose we are to assume she didn't chug the brewski the previous evening.) Macy quickly tried to call Roberta for support but got her voice mail. Out of control, Macy empty her tangle-up drawer in the kitchen and found the cork screw. She furiously uncorked the bottle of wine and lifted it to her silky lips. Macy screamed in frustration and emptied the wine into the kitchen sink.

As she collapsed to the floor she cried "What am I to you, Thorne? An obligation? A frustration? Do you want this marriage, Thorne, or do you want Brooke? I have to know. I have to know." (You certainly do, girl! You are one big, chocolate mess!)

Episode Date: Wednesday, April 26, 2000

Sally and Clarke sat at the Café Ruse and waited for Becky to join them for lunch. They did not realize Amber was bussing dirty dishes at the next table. Amber eavesdropped as Sally explained she wanted to talk to Becky to find out why Stephanie had invited Amber back into her home. Sally figured Amber must be blackmailing the Forresters with some dirty little secret. Sally reminded Clarke of Amber's baby switching scheme and thought her to be capable of absolutely anything. Frustrated by their lies, Amber dropped her tub load of dishes and was discovered. Clarke asked if she had been eavesdropping. Amber only said she was glad CJ's parents were getting to know Becky. Speak of the devil, Becky arrived and said she could only stay long enough for an appetizer as she was quite busy at work. Amber left as Becky went to make a phone call. Sally had learned from CJ that everyone got along at the Forrester party the previous night. Sally knew all the Forrester family never got along so something had to be up. Amber returned with bread for the table. They again asked Amber what trick she had pulled on Stephanie. Sally intimated she would get the truth from Becky. Amber said her relationship with Stephanie had nothing to do with Becky. Sally therefore deduced Becky did not know the real reason Stephanie had made up with Amber. Sally told Amber that she was determined to learn the truth because she did not want anything to hurt CJ.

Back in at Forrester Creations, Ridge blasted his mother for not telling him about Morgan's pregnancy. Stephanie yelled back that Ridge wasn't man enough to keep Morgan from getting pregnant at the time. He was only a boy! Stephanie explained that what she had done was for his future. She then said she did not believe Morgan to be the innocent victim she was pretending to be. Ridge ordered his mother to stay away from him, Taylor and Morgan - both at work and the beach house. Stephanie was livid to learn Morgan had moved into Ridge and Taylor's beach house. She warned Ridge that Morgan was too involved in his life again. Ridge stormed out and resented his mother's interference. (I have one comment. Two months ago, Ridge was afraid his mother would die if she learned Thorne was involved with Brooke. Now he doesn't seem too concerned to yell at her at the top of his lungs and order her to stay out of his life. What gives, Ridge-meister?)

Across town at the fertility clinic, Dr. Palmer explained how the sperm donors were selected and approved. They were carefully screened for all diseases and the sperm was frozen to improve the quality. (OK, that's a lot more information than I need to know.) Dr. Palmer showed Morgan and Taylor the exam room where the actual insemination process would take place. As Taylor asked medical type questions, the look of the equipment in the room reminded Morgan of the room where she had her abortion. Morgan had a black and white flashback that only involved her eyes, close ups of medical equipment (I couldn't figure out what some of those things were supposed to do. Ick!) and Stephanie's haunting voice. Morgan started to shake and sweat and collapsed on top of the stirrup table. Taylor and Dr. Palmer rushed to her aid. Morgan said she was just overwhelmed with all the information she had received and excused herself. Taylor was puzzled by Morgan's odd behavior.

Taylor returned to Forrester Creations and ate lunch out of a cheesy plastic container with Ridge in his office. She recounted her visit to the fertility clinic with Morgan and Morgan's quick departure. Taylor suggested Ridge check up on Morgan later in the day.

But Morgan had decided to go home instead of return to work. Shaken and upset, she entered her new beach home and was surprised to find Stephanie waiting for her there. Stephanie accused Morgan of finding excuses to be close to Ridge. Morgan said she had done nothing but told Ridge the truth. Stephanie asked if Morgan was planning revenge. Morgan denied any revenge tactics but did think it would be ironic if she took Stephanie's son away from her just as Stephanie had taken Morgan's child away. When Stephanie inquired about Morgan's desire to have a baby, Morgan declared it to be none of Stephanie's business. Stephanie said she did not know what Morgan wanted, but she would certainly not find it from Ridge. Therefore she should pack her bags and leave. Morgan retorted she was in Los Angeles to stay!

Sally and Clarke continued to badger Amber at the Café Ruse. Amber continued to deny that anything was going on between her and Stephanie. Sally wasn't buying it. Clarke tried to make Amber understand that they were only concerned about CJ's involvement with Becky if something shady was happening. Becky returned to the table and was concerned that Sally and Amber were arguing. Amber returned to work and Sally told Becky that she and Clarke were bewildered why Stephanie had gone from wanting to have Amber arrested to throwing a party with her. Becky said the explanation was simple. It was a miracle. Sally smiled at Becky's naiveté. Sally told the young woman that she had experience with Stephanie and she knew no one could hold a grudge like La Forrester. Becky said she had delivered some quilt fabric to Stephanie the other week (OTHER WEEK?!? Let's see. Little Eric's party was the previous evening. Becky delivered those swatches to Stephanie the day prior to the party. So, according to my calculations, what was really the day before yesterday has now become THE OTHER WEEK! My how time flies when the writers need to progress a story line.) and found Stephanie and Amber hugging. Becky is certain that Stephanie's stroke last year caused the matriarch to realize what a waste of time is was to harbor hate and resentment. Becky received a page and had to go back to work.

Sally and Clarke wanted to believe Becky's pollyanna attitude, but didn't believe it for a minute. They accosted Amber at the dessert table. Sally informed Amber that she was not as gullible as Becky and by the end of the week, she would discover Amber's secret and share it with everyone.

Eric sat in his office and gazed at a framed photo of Little Eric. CJ arrived for an appointment they had set up and asked if there was a problem with the baby. Eric covered his concerned looked and said he admired the love Becky had for her son. CJ had come to ask if Becky could have the afternoon off so he could take her to Santa Barbara. He explained Becky had not been feeling too well and he thought the fresh air would do her good. Eric agreed and told CJ to take good care of Becky.

CJ located Becky in Thorne's office. He told her he had a surprise but had to kiss her first. (Isn't young love wonderful? Yeah, yeah, yeah…..to bad the grim reaper is on his way.)

At Ridge and Taylor's house, Taylor interrupted football playtime in the living room with sundaes for everyone. (well, actually only applesauce for Phoebe and Little Stephanie.) Taylor then informed the children it was time for a nap because she and daddy wanted to play touch football themselves. Taylor said it didn't matter who won their game as long as they "scored." (Such the little minx, that Taylor!)

At the beach house, Morgan wanted Stephanie to leave. Stephanie accused Morgan of being as "silly and adolescent " as she had been when she was 17. In fact she was a "17 year old sexpot that was out of control." Morgan disagreed. She was now focused and was going to raise a child to replace the one Stephanie had stolen from her so many years ago. Morgan hoped that fact would drive Stephanie to the "brink of insanity." Stephanie pointed out that would be a poor reason to have a child. Morgan said Stephanie's break down would be an added bonus to her giving birth. Stephanie asked if Morgan expected Ridge to father her child. If she went after Ridge, Stephanie wouldn't have to raise a finger because Taylor would stop her dead in her tracks. Morgan explained the process of artificial insemination, but she was certain Ridge and Taylor would help her through the entire process and be a big part of the child's life. Stephanie told the designer the abortion had not caused her problems, she had been troubled long before she got pregnant. Stephanie doubted a child could solve her problems. Morgan was certain Stephanie was wrong and shoved her out the door.

Brooke walked into Ridge's office, unceremoniously dumped a sales report on his desk and sashayed for the door. Ridge asked how Brooke was doing. She laughed at his sudden concern for her well-being. Ridge wanted to apologize for his actions in Venice, but Brooke said the damage had been done. Ridge expressed his pride in how Brooke had moved on with her life by accepting Thorne's marriage to Macy. Brooke said it was still difficult to see Thorne because she truly loved him. She was, however, determined not to cause any trouble for him. Ridge suggested Thorne must have really loved Macy or he wouldn't have married her for any reason. Brooke laid into Ridge and told him he was only rationalizing his actions. He obviously felt guilty and she was happy about that. As she left his office, Brooke told Ridge he should be happy he got what he wanted.

Macy arrived at Insomnia and found Kimberly studying. Macy was a huge emotional mess. (Although she managed to toss her hair extensions a few times with little difficulty.) Macy told her sister she was afraid she was losing her mind. Macy explained how Thorne had missed an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting that was very important to her the previous night. Kimberly confirmed Thorne was at his mother's house and that, contrary to Macy's suspicions, he was not "with" Brooke. Macy admitted to Kimberly that she had almost taken a drink that morning. Macy said the phone call she had overheard between Ridge and Eric was driving her crazy. Kimberly suggested that perhaps Ridge had simply talked some sense into Thorne in Venice. Maybe that was what Eric and Ridge were talking about. Macy said the two men had discussed something Thorne had "seen." Macy decided that she couldn't continue in this manner. (Thank goodness. Neither can we.) She decided to take action and confront Ridge.

Macy arrived at Ridge's office and asked him how he and Thorne were getting along. Ridge was evasive. (Or maybe he just forgot his lines.) Macy said they hadn't seen much of each other since returning from Venice. Ridge said he had been busy. Tired of the games, Macy said she didn't believe Ridge. She suspected something had happened between the two of them in Venice and she wanted to know what it was.

Eric had called Amber at work and insisted she come talk to him about telling CJ the truth concerning Becky's disease. In his office, Eric explained about CJ taking Becky to Santa Barbara. Eric and Amber agreed CJ was deeply in love with Becky. Amber feared that if she told CJ the truth, he would tell Becky. Becky's life would then never be the same. Eric argued that CJ was planning a life with Becky and it was not fair to him to keep him in the dark. Amber was afraid CJ might not be able to handle the news and desert Becky in her time of need. Eric agreed that would be a horrible thing, but he insisted Amber tell CJ before the young couple left for the evening.

In Thorne's office, CJ showered Becky with gifts. She was thrilled with 1.) what appeared to be a blue, leopard-print bra, 2.) what seemed to be a blue dress with spaghetti straps - très chic and 3.) reservations for a hotel in Santa Barbara. They were excited to take their first of many (yeah, like that's gonna happen) trips together. They both left to pack and were to meet at Spectra Fashions.

Becky went home, packed, kissed Little Eric goodbye and left him with a baby sitter we had never seen before,

Amber arrived at Spectra and learned from Darla that CJ would be arriving any minute to pick up his suitcase and the dozen red roses he had for Becky. Darla mentioned that CJ was quite the romantic and Becky would have a wonderful life with him. (Darla is so prophetic.)

Amber waited alone in Sally's office until CJ arrived. When he came in, he was ecstatic to tell Amber about the fabulous trip he had planned for Becky. Amber told CJ before they left, she had something very important to tell him - something so important it would have to wait until Monday.
